Great headphones. Stay in your ear, unlike the beats that are $80 more and wrap around your ear, ironically. Sound quality is great and they block out a lot of noise.

    Great quality!

    • Written by Cameron H from Columbus

I have had these headphones for about 10 months now and they have worked perfectly! The sound quality and noise cancellation has worked great and not gone down over time. My one issue is the battery life, it only lasts for about 6 hours for a full charge, which is a decent amount of time and works fine for me every day, but you have to remember to charge them nightly!

    Great Product

These are the most resilient headphones I’ve ever used: I’ve wet them, dropped them, squished them and they still work perfectly. Might I add, the sound quality is phenomenal and charge lasts for a stupid long time. Well worth the price.

I just bought these on Saturday and I am in love with them. These are better than I thought. I had another pair of wireless earphones (another brand) and they constantly skip even at a full charge. These do NOT skip and the microphone works great.
The battery lasts about 6 hours which is pretty good.

Charges really fast and works for an acceptable period.
Isolates sound really good. Almost can't hear anything.
Sound quality is great, flat and natural. I enjoy music listening with these.

    Very good

I've had the BeatsX for ~10 months. I've used them in -20 degrees Celsius and extreme heat. They work flawlessly. Noise isolation is remarkable and wireless connectivity with iOS is stellar, using the built-in W1 chip. - You don't need to raise the volume due to the great noise isolation. It does not leak sound so surrounding people cannot hear your music. - I've enjoyed them a lot and never had a single issue.

    Very Lucky

    • Written by Gerald T from Lachine

After having purchased these earphones just over a year ago, I think its safe to write an honest review. After reading all of the reviews to date, I consider myself very lucky! I work in a very dusty environment and they're hanging around my neck for most of the day being banged around when not in my ears (I also use them as ear protection at work). They have never failed me once, for the amount of times they got wet from sweat or full of dust (I'm a carpenter) being banged around and accidentally pulled on, they still sound amazing! The only issue that I notice is that I can't work a full 8 hour shift with them now, I'm getting around 6 hours out of them, but after a 5 minute charge, I'm good to go for the rest of the day. And I use them every night before bed for an hour or 2 so they're getting a good work out, I'm not looking forward to the day when they finally do fail, because they are the best sounding earphones I've had to date and little work horses as well.

    BeatsX in grey

    • Written by Anson M from Oakland

In-ears are not for everyone as some of the reviewers have experienced. Unless you get a tight seal the sound quality will be horrible. Once you do, however, the BeatsX deliver a quality sound experience, somewhat V shaped, definitely not flat, but fun! To my ears they are very well well priced, especially at the low street price. Again, to my ears, they also sound way, way better than AirPods, but I've always felt this way about decent in-ears vs any type of bud that just sits there. Because physics, and acoustics.

If your ears can get a good seal and you need reasonable – better than AirPod but not great – battery life, very good sound isolation in a wireless package then I highly recommend the BeatsX. My only negative is the overall length of these. I would prefer if they were a good 6 to 12 inches shorter as they hang down far too much IMO, leading at times to microphonics as they bang around on my jacket when walking. Also, if you are on the phone 8 hours a day at the office, these are not for you. 4 to 6 hours spread over the day, sure, as they have a quick charge that will add 2 hours in just minutes.

I believe there is a feature missing from the BeatsX that other wireless headphones may have: ability to mute the phone from the earphone control. In my experience, the BeatsX can't do this, so it's a miss in this respect.

Is apple cost cutting again ? Please respond publicly Apple

    • Written by MILES K from Brockenhurst

So apple are a great company we know who don’t want to waste environmental sources

The beats x wireless now come in a plain shop box rather than the big box with the plastic see through front we are used to seeing,

I hope apple come clean or just say it’s for the environment as the old pouches are made of rubber silicone so I know apple are trying to help the environment but to still have a picture showing the case is still included is slightly misleading but not by apples intentions according to customer relations!

So for anyone wanting these new beats x wireless

They are now called (beats x)

Included in the box is the earphones

    1 set of changeable tips

    And charging cable

    No pouch
No wingtips for sports /: that one is a downer however I’m sure it will be made public soon enough

Brilliant sound and great using of minimal packaging

    Very nice

    • Written by Chris H from Shinglehouse

I recently purchased BeatsX headphones and I have to say, they work way better than I expected. There isn’t much to complain about with these headphones. The sound quality is amazing (if you have the right size tip and have them all the way in your ears), battery life is pretty great (especially fast fuel), and the seamless pairing to iPhone and Apple Watch is incredibly easy. My only complaint is that they could be smaller, I find that I have to tuck in some of the wire so that it doesn’t look so big when I’m wearing them. Overall I give them 4/5 stars! Although it depends on the person and their needs, I highly suggest these headphone!

The good and bad news, and a bit of amazing news

    • Written by Elisa N from Great Barrington

I have two of these, one black, one silver. They give the best quality for voice calls of the headsets I've had and are relatively comfortable to wear, even with my small ears. The bad news is that neither holds a charge for long and can give out right in the middle of a call, which can cause problems with my computers with certain applications and disturb the flow of conversations. And sometimes, they will make their connect/disconnect sound for no reason in the middle of usage, which is stressful. The amazing news is that one of them went through the wash and after I took it out of the washing machine and let it dry out until the next day, it worked perfectly! A couple of improvements I could suggest: put the microphone closer to the face as I sometimes have to hold it up to be heard on certain calls and it has a tendency to get caught inside of jacket collars, causing noise on the call or difficulty being heard, and also, mark the charging port and on-off button in a contrasting color, as, especially on the black one, these can be hard to locate.

50/50 - Not as good for Business use good or kids for music

    • Written by John G from Macomb

    Good: Sound quality
Good: Magnet to hold when not in use around my neck
    Good: Look and feel
Bad: Disconnecting during calls - re- pairing etc...
Bad Battery life - is not optimal for day long business use.
Bad: Durability: Just less than 1 year and I had to send them in for repair/replacement which apple handled the way that Apple does so that's cool I guess.

Summary: I expected more for the price and the fact that Apple was the one selling the product.
Perhaps I just bought the wrong type of earbuds for my needs. I bought a pair for my 15 year old and he has not complained to me - he has not complained so I'd say 3 stars depending on your needs.

    Good not great

    • Written by Alex S from Lehi

When these work, they're great. Being able to switch from my Mac to iPhone to wifes Mac back to my iPhone is heaven. Charge lasts almost all day, and if you charge them while you go to lunch or in a meeting, when you come back they'll be at 100%.

The bad? They might only last you a year... After about 6 months one side stopped working. They were replaced and then after the year mark i got the pink light of death.

If they were a little bit cheaper, i would have no problem buying a pair every year as they are 100% worth having. But spending $150 or even $100 a year stinks... So I now have $20 replacements that do basically the same thing, except switching from device to device is a pain. But I could buy 5 of them before I break even on these.

    they've changed

    • Written by julie K from TORONTO

I have 2 pairs of the original BeatsX (one of which had to be replaced) and both came with ear wings to keep the buds secure and a case. These do not although they are the SAME price. I never used the cases so I don't care but I do use the wing tips on my other pairs...hopefully I will not need them on this new pair. Maybe they have redesigned the fit subtly so they no longer need the tips?
Anyway, I just assumed I was buying the same product BeatsX as I already had as there is no mention of a "new" version (just a new colour- Satin Silver...so I thought people might want to know those 2 accessories are no longer included.

    Superb BUT...

    • Written by Kateřina D from Opava

Bought these with my iPhone in December 2017, sound amazing, battery life more then enough even for my long plane travels (8h really who needs more on a day to day basis?) and if it was more then enough to just plug them in for 5 minutes and voala! Also i do work often (on my laptop) in a noisy environment such as busy coffee shops, and do lot of flying and hat down BeatsX did and amazing job canceling the noise and made it easy just to sink in the tones and music. ANYHOW right in March 2018 (after 4 months of daily using) right ear stopped working, what a shame so I did contacted apple and with no problems they did replaced them for me with a new ones. Beginning of December guess what? Again the exact same problem (after 8 months of daily using) unfortunately they were one month out of one year guarantee. I would have to pay 75£ for replace/fix and that's just no-no for me if they disappointed twice in a year with the same problem... No thanks. Especially for that price, come on I would expect they will last at least 2 years. I really don't think they are reliable and worth for this price. For me Beats in the future... I don't think so. Will be looking for a different brand. While they were working 5* honest. But the time they actually worked...

You are better off with Airpods

    • Written by Marina U from Perris

These are very delicate creatures. The fact that these wireless earphones have cable makes them a poor choice. Because tossing them in your bag can result in a no longer working earphones. I would say that makes these very inconvenient as you have to be very careful. I would prob go with the AirPods, as those seems like a more stable choice. Additionally since you do have the cable it makes it easy to come in contact with water, say for example you accidentally spill on yourself. Although the odds of that happening are small, they prob would not be a good idea if you sweat a lot at the gym. I wish I had a more positive experience with these, but I had my first one replaced for free but the second ones have failed me yet again. Pretty disappointing, still on the hunt for good wireless earphones.
