    Horrible

    Just stopped working after 14 months. None of the fixes work. Warranty only good for a year. Quoted price of $80 to fix. What a joke!!!

    The good and bad news, and a bit of amazing news

    I have two of these, one black, one silver. They give the best quality for voice calls of the headsets I've had and are relatively comfortable to wear, even with my small ears. The bad news is that neither holds a charge for long and can give out right in the middle of a call, which can cause problems with my computers with certain applications and disturb the flow of conversations. And sometimes, they will make their connect/disconnect sound for no reason in the middle of usage, which is stressful. The amazing news is that one of them went through the wash and after I took it out of the washing machine and let it dry out until the next day, it worked perfectly! A couple of improvements I could suggest: put the microphone closer to the face as I sometimes have to hold it up to be heard on certain calls and it has a tendency to get caught inside of jacket collars, causing noise on the call or difficulty being heard, and also, mark the charging port and on-off button in a contrasting color, as, especially on the black one, these can be hard to locate.

    Lose connectivity, and lose sound on the right earphone

    So, I've had these earphones for about a year now. within the first 3 months, I had to send them in because I was getting no sound when I would connect to my iPhone. After getting a refurbished pair, they worked for about 6 months. I then had the same issue and called apple. the lady seemed annoyed as I'm sure many others were having problems. finally, she told me to do a reset, software update and jump through a few other hoops. luckily it worked. fast forward another 2 months and here we go again. I've tried the reset thing and still no sound from the right bud. I will definitely buy cheaper/generic buds next time.

    Great Product

    These are the most resilient headphones I’ve ever used: I’ve wet them, dropped them, squished them and they still work perfectly. Might I add, the sound quality is phenomenal and charge lasts for a stupid long time. Well worth the price.

    Great

    I just bought these on Saturday and I am in love with them. These are better than I thought. I had another pair of wireless earphones (another brand) and they constantly skip even at a full charge. These do NOT skip and the microphone works great.
    The battery lasts about 6 hours which is pretty good.

    Died right after warranty ended

    Just after the one year warranty passed, they stopped working. Won't power on. Reset doesn't work. Apple will repair for $79. Not worth it. What a joke!

    Broken after meticulous care

    I enjoyed the sound and convenience of these headphones for around a year and a half when all of a sudden they stopped powering on. There is a short in the wiring. I contacted Apple, and they wanted to charge me an $85 service fee. Beats/Apple directs the user to wrap the headphones around themselves to store them in their silicone case. I did this religiously. I can only infer these headphones are broken from my seemingly careful attentiveness to see that they were stored correctly. Will not buy again, and I also suggest you look elsewhere.

    Bad product.

    I received a free pair of these with a new iPad. They worked for a year in my office and I did not take them anywhere. They are not very durable. BeatsX earphones are cheaply made. I would not recommend this product, and I received it for free! Spend your $150 elsewhere.

    Bad product. Very short lifetime.

    Although the sound is good, feeling well equilibrium between bass and mediums (I enjoyed the Beats sound style) and the design is nice, the quality is really poor. It was 14 months since I bought it. Fourteen. And the guarantee out, so then need to pay between 88 dollars and 120 to be repaired! What a shame! Believe me, i treated very well and took always care of it. I always used the carry rubber bag. And always very careful. Never happened to me something like this. And never with a , somehow, expensive product like this BeatX.
    I cannot recommend it.

    Great until the sound dies... too soon

    I really liked how these beats worked with apple equipment, losing the wire to the device, blocking out sound by being nice in-ear sound blocking.

    However, after 18 months, one of the earbuds stopped giving sound. Then 1 week later, the other one died.
    I did all the tricks with restart (10 seconds of power+volume-down), no help.
    I can still see how they control via bluetooth, but no sound.

    Such a shame.

    Apple, again!

    Got them changed 4 times:
    1 battery not lasting even 1 hour
    2 unable to charged them (battery issue, again)
    3 stopped working (after just one month out of the new box)
    4 unable to turn them back on (after a couple of months after the last replacement).

    Awesome product, terrible reliability

    I love this product. It fits comfortably in my ears, lasts a long while, charges quickly, sounds very good, and connects smoothly (though a physical connection is still better). All that said, I'm on my fourth pair of BeatsX in 18 months. Three were replaced under the 1 year warranty. The first three pairs stopped powering on entirely, while fourth's play/pause and volume buttons just stopped working (though they still work otherwise). It's a shame, as this is one of my favorite Apple products ever.

    DON"T GET THESE HEADPHONES!!!!

    I got these for my birthday in July. A couple of weeks later I realized that there is a bump in the wire and its hard and does not go away. Then about 2 months later I find a hole in the wire then a piece of "string" comes out of the wire, and every time I straiten out the one side they get a bunched up and then to get it out I have to pull back on the wire. But other than that, the battery life and sound quality is good.

    Great sound but unreliable and failed after 6 months

    My BeatsX earphones had great sound and were very comfortable. Moreover, they paired easily between my iPhone and MacBook Pro. Switching between the two peripherals was exceptionally easy. The battery lasted a good while and I was pleased with how they fit. However, the most disappointing aspect for a premium line of earphones is that my first pair of BeatsX failed within 5 months. The battery would no longer charge. Apple was wonderful and they quickly replaced my earbuds no questions asked. Six months after receiving my new pair of BeatsX, the right earphone stopped functioning (would crackle and lose connection) and the volume up stopped working as well. This time, the earphones were out of warranty (90 days for replacements). This is exceptionally disappointing for a premium set of earphones. While they sound good, the spotty reliability earns the BeatsX - it should be the core component of a premium line of earphones.

    Second pair

    I do no recommend this product. My first pair of black beats x would not turn on or off unless you wrapped them in a tight circle 1 month after the warranty expired. On the good side Apple sent me a refurbished pair as a one time curtesy. Now less than a year later the refurbished pair is doing the same thing. I thought the first pair went bad due to the clam shell case so I used a ziplock bag for the second pair. The problem I’m having is posted all over the internet and is a flaw in the ear buds. My son is also on his second pair with the same happening to his first pair. My wife has a blue pair with no problems so far. I hope Apple helps me out again.

    Not a good product

    I found the sound quality to be poor unless you managed to get just the right fit with the ear piece adapters. Unfortunately such a fit made the item less comfortable. Additionally the cables were too long and would easily get caught by a collar and cause the buds to get pulled out of my ear. The most positive thing I can say is that they only lasted 13 months before breaking, allowing me to upgrade to a better product.

    Good not great

    When these work, they're great. Being able to switch from my Mac to iPhone to wifes Mac back to my iPhone is heaven. Charge lasts almost all day, and if you charge them while you go to lunch or in a meeting, when you come back they'll be at 100%.

    The bad? They might only last you a year... After about 6 months one side stopped working. They were replaced and then after the year mark i got the pink light of death.

    If they were a little bit cheaper, i would have no problem buying a pair every year as they are 100% worth having. But spending $150 or even $100 a year stinks... So I now have $20 replacements that do basically the same thing, except switching from device to device is a pain. But I could buy 5 of them before I break even on these.

    Great Product

    Charges really fast and works for an acceptable period.
    Isolates sound really good. Almost can't hear anything.
    Sound quality is great, flat and natural. I enjoy music listening with these.
