      Underwhelming

I really want to love USB-C -- it's such a versatile connector, truly a technical marvel -- but it's shameful that this cable only supports USB 2.0 data speeds I really want to love USB-C -- it's such a versatile connector, truly a technical marvel -- but it's shameful that this cable only supports USB 2.0 data speeds and that it's not included with the purchase of a USB-C charger.

Both times I'm unsure how it happened and they're not exactly cheap to replace

      Not your typical USB-C cable

Transfers data slowly and doesn't support video.

      Broke after 2 weeks

Cable started to tear after 2 weeks of owning the laptop. No longer having the clips to wrap the cord on the charger brick is a major contributor to this issue.

I replace them about once a year when they begin to wear and it's great that the cable isn't built into the power brick anymore. People just need to look after their stuff and they'll last much longer! Don't kink the cable and you'll be fine.
