When you open the lid it gets stuck around 90 degrees, and requires a firm push to skip over the poorly fitted plastic shell. A number of customers have reported that this ultimately leads to the case cracking, and obviously puts unnecessary strain on the hinge of your laptop lid. When you're likely spending upwards of £2000 on a laptop you don't want a case that prevents your lid from opening smoothly, and if you have to replace the case every few months when the corners snap off it'll start getting expensive fast. I'm doubly disappointed because the case looks fantastic, and feels great in your hands. If only I never had to open my laptop it'd be perfect! Unfortunately, as the keyboard, trackpad, and screen are hidden away inside this case is unabashedly, fundamentally broken.

      No thanks.

After having this on my brand new MacBook Air for about 2 months it has left a ugly scratch on it. I don't recommend this at all.

I'm not a big fan of the dimple-ish pattern which doesn't show up well in the product photos. I purchased a clear one and happy with it.

I wish I had listened to them, as after six months of having this case the same thing has happened to mine. I only use my MacBook at my desk or in bed, and I have never dropped it, therefore this case has had a minimal job of protecting my MacBook. After a few months I began noticing cracks around the bottom of the case, and today a piece actually snapped off. I dread to think what would have happened if I actually dropped my MacBook as this flimsy case would not have protected it at all, if it breaks from just sitting on the desk. I went to the apple store to see if it would be covered under warranty however it is not. That is £40 down the drain, and a large bit of plastic in the bin. These cases should not be sold anymore, considering other customers have been reporting the same problems. Do not buy this case if you are looking for something durable to protect your Mac as this one just breaks!!

It's very poorly made - cheap quality and doesn't fit the Macbook Air properly, just as other reviewers have described. The plastic is cracking and large chunks are falling off. It's also now very sharp and scratching my wrists and hands when I hold it. I called Apple to express my concern and they told me this isn't their issue because it's not made by Apple. It's a shame that APPLE IS SELLING SUCH POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS AND NOT BACKING THEM UP OR SUPPORTING THEIR CUSTOMERS. Very disappointed all around.

We bought these in 2015, we rarely take them outside, and we have extra bags to protect them when we do. We are careful users, and considering the price of them, they do not reflect value for money.
