These are all features that the standard iPad Pro Keyboard lacks and they finally made it worth my while to get the iPad Pro, turning it into a real productivity device.

      Good and Bad

The overall functional design of this keyboard case is pretty good. The keyboard is responsive, and it is finally nice to have a place to keep the apple pen. The overall functional design of this keyboard case is pretty good. The keyboard is responsive, and it is finally nice to have a place to keep the apple pen. The problem with the case is that it doesn't do a great job holding the iPad in place. When I put it in my backpack and there is any kind of pressure, the pad releases from the case and then when I pull the case out of the backpack the pad takes flight. The first time it happened I got a scratch on the iPad screen. Now I am more aware and very careful when I pull it out of the backpack. Next step is to see if I can velcro it?

Buyer beware: Logitech decided to light up every key EXCEPT the space bar and right arrow key, according to their support, due to the thickness of the product. This lack of attention to detail is frustrating. Part of me wants to send the keyboard back, but it does have the Apple Pencil holder and function key row, which the Apple Smart Keyboard does not.

      Was ok but not now

The keyboard was nice for awhile but then broke in and got sloppy and not very supportive for the iPad Pro. Since the update to 11.1.1 for the iPad the keyboard The keyboard was nice for awhile but then broke in and got sloppy and not very supportive for the iPad Pro. Since the update to 11.1.1 for the iPad the keyboard causes the iPad to stop charging. If you use the keyboard to wake up the iPad Pro while it is plugged in to power, it will stop charging until you unplug the power supply from the iPad Pro and plug the charging cord back in. If the iPad looses connection with the pins on the case and then reconnection is established, it will not be charging until you unplug and plug the power back in. The right arrow key and space bar don't light up due to the space need within the keyboard, for some reason this was factored into the design. I think I may change to a different keyboard. My wife has the same setup with the same results, Logitech was absolutely no help with the issue.

Still it wasn’t much of a problem. Then the right arrow key broke in half and fell off (I have never dropped my IPad), soon after the keyboard stopped working and it wasn’t till I shut down my IPad and restarted it that is started working again. Also i would notice sometimes my IPad wasn’t even held in the case so when I opened it, it would fall out! Then a piece next to the right speaker fell off and I found out that this has happened to other people. It also closes really awkwardly if you don’t have an Apple Pencil. Would NOT recommend it!

If you are using the Apple Pencil holder in this case, STOP NOW! the case is not really giving enough space for the pencil to be out of the way. It will literally SHATTER your screen. It happened to me, and I know it was the pencil because I only use my iPad for notes and it goes into my backpack in the laptop compartment. The initial damage is dead center at the lower part where the Apple Pencil is. Again, do NOT use the Apple pencil holder. Put it somewhere else. A few other things to mention: 1. I have a glass protector on my SCREEN which doesn't add much thickness to the iPad. This shouldn't have been an issue. 2. As nice as the keyboard is (and I love), the right shift button falls out, and some of the keys have scratched the screen protector.
