      Reliable contact sensor

These sensors have worked great for me since day one. They've only missed or mis-reported a door opening once or twice, but overall their accuracy is very high These sensors have worked great for me since day one. They've only missed or mis-reported a door opening once or twice, but overall their accuracy is very high - I'd say over 99%. I mostly interact with them through the iOS 10 Home app and not the Eve app. They are setup to provide push notifications to my devices, and it's nearly flawless. The batteries seem to have a pretty long shelf-life too. After several months of daily use, they still show nearly full battery levels.

      Works as advertised

Set up was quick. Response of the alert is almost immediate... under two seconds. With AppleTV, I get notice of an opening or close anywhere I am. Best HomeKit Set up was quick. Solid product, does what is made for

I got this product to put on the window to my sons room. We have a chime for our central alarm system but it is faint and has no smart phone notification. By ad I got this product to put on the window to my sons room. We have a chime for our central alarm system but it is faint and has no smart phone notification. By adding this to the same window that has the alarm sensor, now I can get notified to my iPhone when the window is open which is exactly what I wanted. I wasn't interested in the logging features or what this sensor can provide, but just a simple notification. I have not tried to hook it up into my AppleTV yet for remote notifications. Simple design, easy to mount, good product.

      Device works but spacers didn't

The device - once I got it installed - reports accurately on the open/closed state of the window that I have it attached to. Unfortunately, I needed to use the The device - once I got it installed - reports accurately on the open/closed state of the window that I have it attached to. Unfortunately, I needed to use the enclosed spacers and there wasn't any documentation for those. I gathered that I was supposed to use the adhesive on the small device to attach to a spacer, but it wasn't clear which one, and the final link didn't work. I needed to glue the sensed device to the spacers, which seems inelegant but I couldn't figure out another way to get it to stay. (Not to mention that I dropped the tiny sensed device behind a bookcase and needed to fish it out…) I searched the Elgato website for instructions on how to use the spacers to no avail. But - it works now that it's attached.
