Problems connecting two LG Ultrafines with new 15 inch MacBook Pro

It also appears that the MacBook will not charge via the Thunder bolt cable if the USB-C hub is being used for other peripherals (e.g., charging my iPhone). Considering that Apple unveiled the new MacBook Pro, showcasing a setup with two external LG Ultrafines, it's pretty disappointing that these basic functions don't work seamlessly. When you also consider there very high price for these items, it's not really acceptable. The monitors are beautiful (when they are working) - but I'm waiting to see if Apple fixes these issues fast - otherwise the monitors get returned. Apple Support don't know anything about the problem because it's too new.

Absolutely stunning display quality at a great price - but ONLY USB-C

The display finish is similar to Apple's latest MacBook Pros - clear, glossy but very little reflectance - the best of both worlds. Connected to my 2016 MacBook Pro with its native USB-C connector, the display is stunning. Another surprise? The built-in speakers on this monitor are amazingly clear, loud, and good quality, unlike most monitors. You can even feel the bass (to some extent - don't expect miracles). Now for the downside for all who had *hoped* they could connect this to older Macs with adapters. You can't. The specifications are very clear - this monitor requires a Mac with a native USB-C connector. Apple's Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter doesn't provide DisplayPort pass through. And third party USB-C to DisplayPort 1.2 connectors don't handle the 4096x2304 resolution of this monitor. The monitor is simply not recognized by older Macs.

Charges MacBook and functions as USB-C hub allowing connection of external drive for Time Machine, iPhone/watch/iPad, etc. (w/purchase of additional dongle). Internal display speakers sound ok but aren't great. Display looks awesome (zero stuck pixels and no other visible flaws I can see).

Really nice Monitor but lot of bugs

I have issues with the sound, everything go perfectly and randomly it start making weird noise (like an old Tv when you're not on good channel). I don't find any website to update de firmware of the Monitor.. I have the Mac IOS High Sierra 10.13.1 (the latest). I contacted Apple but they told me to contact the manufacturer of the product. Also, I have bugs with the touch bar menu for the luminosity of the Monitor, sometimes it doesn't appear. Finally, I looked on the Internet to see if the 4k 21.5in screen had a ambiant light sensor and it say "yes" but looks like mine doesn't work. I need to change the luminosity manually each time. Do you have any informations how to troubleshoot theses issues ? I'm a little bit upset for a monitor that we pay 1,000$ CAD. Are they going to make an update soon or anything ?

It literally popped out of the box, (well packaged), and plugged into the new MacBook Pro with the one cable in less than 5 minutes. Very pleased with the product and combo so far. Like the vertical adjustability of the LG Monitor stand.

It works seamlessly with the latest MacBook Pro (so much so that I've ditched my ageing desktop Mac completely). Negatives: It's small. I wish that I had saved enough for the 27" model. Whilst the solidity of the stand is excellent and it adjust vertically and tilts with ease, the lack of any swivel means that I have to lift the hefty base plate to move it (we don't all sit locked into a single seating position). Finally, and really annoyingly, I have a dead pixel which I only discovered when trying to edit it out of a photo! It's probably not enough to battle over a belated return, but do make sure that you set the background to plain white to test it when you get one as desktop backgrounds can easily mask these imperfections.
