The instructions are ridiculously small, but once I got a magnifying glass, it clearly says you have to download the software and gives you the URL to do so. Once that was done, it worked perfectly on my machine.

It is nice to hold, the buttons sit comfortably, and the unit charges very quickly. Easy to programme the functions of the buttons. Biggest plus is that it is the first presenter that I have come across which will work with the Blue Tooth on MACS. This means you don't have to fiddle with the USB transmitter that all the others seem to need. If you do one or two presentations every few months it is probably not worth the cost, if you do several each week, as I do, it is worth it. My favourite presenter to date. 5/5 on function, 3/5 on cost, hence 4/5 overall.

I bought this presenter because of its promise: the advertising is just so good! But real-world performance is shockingly bad. With a maxed out 2016 13" MacBookPro, this thing is unreliable and buggy. Sometimes it works great, but sometimes it just doesn't trigger when you hit the button. Then when you give up trying, it suddenly decides to work, but based on a click 10 seconds before, and then it remembers all of those frustrated clicks until you gave up. Worse, still, sometimes the highlight effect freezes in place while the rest of the presentation still works, so you present in a sort of twilight, with a circle of brightness in one corner. But worst of all, sometimes it just crashes the presentation. At AU$ 200, this is just not good enough. Poor! Don't buy.

I decided to pay the high price for this one because I was tired of fiddling with connectivity issues. It is really cool and I'm super happy with it! Once you've downloaded the software from Logitech, it walks you through the connection. (Those who found it just an expensive clicker between slides perhaps didn't download the software). I didn't realize that the spotlight isn't just for highlighting the screen, it is to allow you to use the presenter like a mouse from a distance. You not only can flip between slides, you can actually use the spotlight to click on anything on your computer - on the slide but also on the internet, like a mouse clicker would. And - best of all for me - it set up super easy and didn't require any tech support to get it going.

In particular, the highlight and magnifying functions have proven to be really useful. When it comes to Logitech's customer service, however, I am far from enthusiastic. After an update of my MacOS, I could not get the presentation device to work properly anymore, so I asked Logitech's customer service for help. When they finally reacted, none of their tips was of any use. After many weeks of to and fro (and hours spent on re-installing and reconfiguring software), I found the solution on Logitech's user forum. All it took was changing some settings in the new MacOS. I am at a total loss to understand why Logitech's customer service seemed to be entirely unaware of the problem (which, as I found out, was encountered by many users) and even less capable of resolving it. If this is the level of service and competence of their customer service, they can just as well close down the department entirely as far as I am concerned.
