      Clarification on the transfer speed of this Drive and included cable

      I contacted G-Technology Technical Support to ask about the transfer speed of the included cable. They replied: "The USB-C connection type has the potential to I contacted G-Technology Technical Support to ask about the transfer speed of the included cable. They replied: "The USB-C connection type has the potential to do 10Gb/s. However, the hard drive is going to bottle neck those speeds as it can not take full advantage of the full potential of the connection type. The G-Drive Slim SSD over the USB-C connect will get up to 540MB/s." So I believe the included cable is sufficient, and one does not need to purchase a 5GB or 10GB rated cable. I purchased this product because it came out in 2016, is a SSD, and has the latest 3.1 Gen 2 connections.
