  • Overview

The Lightwave Smart Lighting and Power Kit comes with a Lightwave Smart socket, Smart dimmer and Link Plus hub — everything you need to get started with Lightwave smart lighting and power that’s controllable from your iPhone or iPad.

    Smart dimmers and sockets

Lightwave Smart Dimmers and Sockets are finished in sleek stainless steel and look as good as any other standard decorative socket. Built-in Lightwave technology allows you to monitor and control them from anywhere using your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or with voice control via Apple HomeKit (app control requires Lightwave Link Plus).

    Smart features

Using the Lightwave app, you can set your favourite lighting scenes, check if lights or appliances have been left on, and monitor the amount of energy that’s being used. You can even lock the dimmers so that they automatically turn off after a short time and the sockets so that dangerous appliances can’t be turned on manually. The dimmers are soft start, and are compatible with the vast majority of dimmable LED lamps.* The sockets are fully 13A mains rated and BS1363 certified.

    Easy DIY installation

Lightwave devices are easy to DIY install; there’s no extra wiring necessary, as each socket or dimmer is a simple straight swap for your existing one. Other devices are plug and play and no special tools are required. All devices are legal to install in your own home without the help of an electrician, although always consult a suitably qualified expert if you are unsure. Lightwave also offers free dedicated support over the phone.

Does the work better than other HomeKit devices

Responds almost immediately unlike other HomeKit devices. Works with scenes and many rooms. Have total 6 LightwaveRF devices. Very satisfied.

Had difficulty setting up the system. When searching the internet for solutions, it appears that this is not uncommon. Very surprised that the Apple Store a Had difficulty setting up the system. When searching the internet for solutions, it appears that this is not uncommon. Very surprised that the Apple Store are selling a product that does not appear to come close to the quality and ease of use that one associates with Apple products (in my experience). Hoping that I can resolve the problem working with Lightwave Customer support which I can see from various forums may be another challenge.
