The LARGE blue LED is very annoying, as it flashes during read/write operations. It is very bright. I covered it with some dim tape, which makes it much easier to live with. There's no way to turn it off, which is unfortunate. The USB-C cable that shipped with the unit was faulty and would cause my Mac to drop the drive connection if the cable were touched, even slightly. Using my existing Thunderbolt cable resolved that and the drive worked without issue using my own cable. Overall, you get a lot of storage and excellent speed for the price. This is a nice looking unit. The monster flashing LED and faulty USB-C cable mar what would otherwise be a five-star rating.
