Overall, it's nice and serves its purpose but I'm still on the lookout for something better. Pros: - backlit keyboard - does not touch iPad screen when closed (yay, no scratches!) - case has room & protection for pencil - offers back & side protection for iPad (like a full case) Cons: - bumpers/protection guards make it difficult to use the sleep/wake button on the iPad - requires charging - "traditional" raised keys (so be mindful of crumbs, spills, etc.)

Initial impressions are mixed, firstly the good points: * The keyboard is excellent, the response on key strokes is great, as is the feedback. It feels like using the Apple Magic keyboard for typing experience, even on the smaller 11 inch iPad. * Protection is excellent, I have no concerns over the iPad bending or being damaged by falling etc. This case truly will protect your iPad * Holder for Apple Pencil is a great addition. Having the security knowing your pencil will not fall off when your walking or throwing your iPad into your bag is nice to have. * Backlit keys is also a plus at nighttime, however I never found this a problem as the iPads screen illuminates the keyboard enough for me to use at night. Negative points: * The weight is huge compared to the Apple Smart Folio. It really surprised me how much weight this added to the iPad vs. The Smart Folio and will take some time to get used to. The 12.9 must be much worse and it is now heavier/ equal to my MacBook Pro. * Using the keyboard in ‘iPad mode’ with the keyboard folded back is pretty terrible. The keyboard wobbles around and is not secure like it is on the Smart Folio. I have since purchased a cheap folio case to use when I am just using the iPad for content consumption. In all, it is a great keyboard, mainly aimed at those who type a lot, or use a lot for work on desks etc. If your main usage is content consumption/ web browsing or social media, then I would not recommend this case, but I am glad I swapped my Apple Smart Folio Pro for this.

The backlit keys, the higher travel on the keystrokes, the function row, the iOS shortcuts.. It's just a much better typing experience then Apple's own keyboard. That being said, its heavier, bulkier and not as pretty looking.. So if you don't type often (but you still need to type here and there) and you value portability/aesthetics then I'd recommend you stick with the Apple keyboard. Considering its nearly $100 cheaper and the typing experience it provides - I'm super happy with it >:)

I’ve owned an iPad since the first model, and I’ve used Logitech keyboards since they started making them. The quality is unmatched. The keys are responsive, the bluetooth connects flawlessly, and the stability of the case is excellent—you can easily type on this while it’s on your lap while riding public transportation. Apple’s own case was simply not enough protection, and their keys just don’t feel quite right. Logitech’s moved the “lock” key so you no longer accidentally hit it by accident, and the keyboard key has also moved. It’s thicker than previous versions, largely due to needing to use a battery again since Apple made the poor design decision to put the direct connect on the back of the iPad. It’s also a bit heavy. The keyboard easily folds under the iPad to make it usable for artists and readers. Highly recommend—it makes the iPad a much more usable device for almost any need.

Best keyboard for your iPad Pro

It is heavier and thicker than the Apple keyboard. However, it offers a better protection for the iPad. The Logitech keyboard is backlit, which is great to type in a dark room, and adds several keys, such as Home, Search, Pause/Play, Mute or Volume Up/Down, etc. The only point against this keyboard is that it makes the iPad heavier and thicker. Besides that, this keyboard is better in every single aspect, it is even cheaper.

      Issue in Sketch Mode

Issue reported with Logitech and they With the screen flat in sketch mode, it can still register as connected that then blocks access to the onscreen keyboard. Issue reported with Logitech and they are looking into it, but how that makes it past QA is beyond me (found it first night using it). If resolved, then will rate it higher but that is majorly annoying as to how I currently use it.
