      Great Wireless Extender

Had Airport Extreme Base Station with 2 airport expresses set up to extend wireless networks to corners of house with weak signals. Not really totally happy Had Airport Extreme Base Station with 2 airport expresses set up to extend wireless networks to corners of house with weak signals. Not really totally happy with old airport express's performance so I thought I would try new new Airport Express. All I can say is wow. Positioned new express between area where the old two expresses were. Now my speed in either of the corners of the house where the old airport express's were has nearly doubled. Best $100 I have spent for awhile. Because of form factor, also looks cool sitting on table. This new express basically replaced the two older airports and increases download speed. Whats not to like? Highly recommend if planning on using it to extend wireless network.

We have been through so many routers that I was about to give up all together. I finally decided to give this tiny little item with the big price tag (in my world)a try. It was simple to set up and most importantly powerful. Our biggest issue was the amount of items would cause some items to drop off or a lot of time no one was able to connect at all. We would reset our router at least 4 times a day on average. With 2 iPads, 3 kindles, 4 cell phones, 2 computers, apple tv, and 3 game systems it never seemed to work out for us. Now with this little miracle worker everyone is connected all the time with no issues. We have had it set up for a week and I haven't reset it once. I am so happy that I could just dance.

This Express knocks the previous version from the curb to the next city!! Way to go Apple!!! If you need a wireless device to extend your current network, this This Express knocks the previous version from the curb to the next city!! Way to go Apple!!! If you need a wireless device to extend your current network, this thing is hands-down the best device on the planet right now!!! Setup took 30 seconds, maybe a minute!!! Works flawlessly with all 10 devices we are connecting to the Wi-Fi... even our flatscreen TV can now see & play the shared iTunes file on our network drive!!!

Had to stop using them and buy something else.

I have multiple Apple products and have been a loyal fan for many years. We have had two Express units hooked up for years, then started to have trouble. So, I I have multiple Apple products and have been a loyal fan for many years. We have had two Express units hooked up for years, then started to have trouble. So, I bought a new one, to no avail. All units keep dropping the signal and flashing Amber despite resets and contacting Apple support. They will rest and function for a day and then drop signal. So, for simple WiFi extension I have a Netgear extender and it is bombproof and has never, ever dropped a signal. Come on Apple step it up a notch and fix this issue. I guarantee you I won't buy your Apple Home speaker product with such flaky performance as I experience with the Airport Express- going straight to Sonos. Too bad. I really like Apple , but it just isn't cutting it in the world of WiFi.

      Pretty much garbage

Music play cuts out constantly. Restarting the Airport before starting to play every time is a requirement. Even then it may or may not last. Try to figure out Music play cuts out constantly. Restarting the Airport before starting to play every time is a requirement. Even then it may or may not last. Try to figure out what's going on and you will be confronted with a wall of technical speculation about routers, wireless networks, and so on. The reason you buy an Apple product is so you don't have to worry about any of that. And even then it's just speculation ("try this... maybe this will help... I don't know")—none of it is a solution. This is the furthest thing from just working I have ever seen in an Apple product. Basically, it just never works.
