    First impressions

    • Written by francis W from hong kong

Connected to ipad no problem - sounded excellent on iTunes.
Took some time to get I maschine playing through it.
Sounds great - massively unstable. Display screen freaks out randomly,
Eg showing text backwards, screen switching off.
Changing settings on maestro had varying success.
It seems if you want to change something you need to unplug every time and plug back in.
Did I mention it sounds great?
Need to sleep on this one.

Serious problems with Yosemite and Duet

    • Written by ian S from sydney

While I had a very good experience with this product pre-Yosemite, post Yosemite has been very disappointing. It constantly drops out and then has to relocate itself, clicks, stutters and will reassign monitoring to different channels at random. It is far from the seamless Apple experience you expect for a $1000 plus sound card. My experience with Apogee support has been less than satisfying and as the product is a year old I am expected to pay a $35 service fee to speak to anyone at Apple about the issues I am having. Until these issues are resolved I could not in good conscience recommend this product.

    Love my Apogee Duet

    • Written by Gregory T from Westerville

I absolutely love my Apogee Duet. I have had numerous audio interfaces over the years, and this is by far my favorite. First, it sounds amazing. I sometimes use it just to listen to music and love it. Second, the design is beautiful. Very Apple-like: simple elegant. Third, it is easy to use. Great integration with a Mac (esp. via the Maestro software). Fourth, the integration of MIDI with the most recent generation is huge—in fact, I sold a previous version and bought this version just for the MIDI. Very handy, esp. when you have a limited number of USB ports. Fifth, very mobile: easy to bring with you for mobile recording. I highly recommend it.

    Not for iPad Pro

    • Written by Cristian D from Stockholm

Just bought an Apogee Duet for my iPad Pro.
    It was a mistake.
First of all, Duet comes without the USB Lightning cable that Apogee recommends.
Whatever connector I buy still get the error message “ this device is consuming too much power”.
The Maestro software is just a simulation, not a real controller.
The two devices do not communicate. This is bad, very bad.

I’ve been a loyal Apogee customer since 2009. Every Apogee product I’ve ever owned has 1. Paid for itself and 2.(Apogee Duet) given me the most complete listening satisfaction. For professional applications or casual listening... I’ve taken my duet around the world for recording and listening and I currrently have 3 selections on multiple music store sites All Recorded Using the Duet.
Apogee brings a new dimension to the sounds I enjoy. Get the Duet And Hear what you’ve been missing.

    Fantastic audio recording interface!

    • Written by Todd V from Rochester

Love my Duet. The mic preamps are very good, there is virtually no lag, and the sound is clear and accurate. Can't say more about the Apogee Duet. Works great with my 2015 Macbook Pro.

    The Professional Audio Device

    • Written by Francesco M from London

This little box contains everything you need to listen, record and mix music like a pro. Apogee's audio devices are just a marvel.
Strongly recommended as a portable interface or "in the box" music productions.
