DO NOT BUY - did not work on any external hard drive

I ended up buying a Western Digital My Paasport for Mac that already includes the micro B to usb C cable. This cable never worked it is just a waste of money.
External Hard Drives did work perfectly with the WD cable and also worked flawlessly with the normal USB A adaptor.

    Beware: Micro-B 10 Pin (NOT 5 pin)

Be aware that there are TWO different USB connectors both called "Micro-B" (what idiot thought that was a good idea?) .. this cable is the the 10-pin Micro-B connector (often used with external hard drives) and NOT the 5-pin Micro-B connector common on smaller peripherals (Kindle, headphones, GoPro etc etc.)

Works fairly well, but very stiff

The cable works just as it should and is long enough to keep a portable hard drive out of the way. The cord however is unreasonably stiff.
