Happy with the function so far

    • Written by Richard P from Bondurant

I've seen mixed reviews and was not sure what to think. I do like the keyboard and find the smart connection to work great. The magnet could be stronger but in practice it doesn't seem to be an issue. I really bought this keyboard to get more "laptop" type use out of my iPad investment. I also really like the full protection it offers the iPad compared to the apple option-which is also nice. The increased size is not an issue for me because I drop things and they break! My phone has been in a case for years and it has save me many times over. I just did not want to take a risk with a new iPad Pro and the $$ invested.

I like that I can leave the keyboard at home if I want and just have the basic iPad protection as well. No -I can use it on my lap-but that is not a need for me. I'm almost always at a table for typing work and if I'm just reading I detach the keyboard. It appears top be durable. I hope to get two plus years out of the case and keyboard-anything beyond that and I'll be very happy.

I don't use a pencil so I can't say how the holder works. I use it as a tab to open the case.

Surprised by how much I like the IPad Pro and this keyboard/case make it more useful for me and so I'd recommend people give it a try. You can always return in in two weeks if not satisfied.

    Excellent Case

    • Written by Brett R from COFFS HARBOUR

After reading the reviews i thought i would be sending this case back. But no i really like it, its plastic sure not leather but offers good protection. Its not slim but its a case and keyboard so! Love how the ipad with stand can be seperated easily from the keyboard and it works great. Keyboard is excellent with the back light and functions, and pencil holder too.
So glad i tried it, also found it cheaper on a Apple re seller store and Apple refunded me $60.
Dont hesitate if you after a case like this.

    Portability with protection

    • Written by William D from Ballater

Having recently had the misfortune of having a windows notebook categorised as beyond repair and a windows phone that was not upgradeable, I decided that a change in platform to Apple seemed like a good idea.
After watching the apple demonstration it was decided that with iOS 11 (soon to come) onboard the new IPad Pro 10.5, would give me the portability to what I was used to. It soon became apparent that a keyboard was necessary (for me) and the Logitech was the answer. Coupled with a backlit keyboard to what I was always used to and with full IPad protection surpassed the Apple keyboard.
This is a worthy piece of equipment and although slightly increases the weight factor, I find is not a problem.
Good quality, comfortable, excellent key pressure, good protection, keyboard easy to couple and decouple from IPad which is held securely with strong magnet and of course, backlit.
Once keyboard shortcuts are mastered, this is the business without a doubt.

Logitech Slim Combo (10.5" iPad Pro) Is Ideal

    • Written by Mark J from LA QUINTA

I have used my new Logitech Slim Combo with my new 10.5" iPad Pro for three weeks and it is ideal! Nice protective case and backlit keyboard detaches nicely using magnetic smart connector. You can use as iPad or laptop. Excellent quality. Keypad is better than my old iPad Air! Apple Pencil holder on the outside is made of the perfect material to hold it in place nicely yet remove with ease. Having it available on the outside is more convenient than hiding in the case. The Slim Combo is the best of both worlds and I highly recommend it.

Best iPad Pro Keyboard For Most, But Not All, People

    • Written by Jacob R from Highland park

I've had the 10.5" Slim Combo for about ten days, and it is superb. The keyboard is so much nicer than Apple’s Smart Keyboard, in terms of texture, key travel, and backlighting. The case is great for protection, as a stand, and includes a Pencil holder. People say it's too thick and heavy, and it feels cheap. I don't understand that. It doesn't feel premium, but it feels durable, sturdy, and overall, fine. The Smart Keyboard doesn’t feel premium either. To me this keyboard isn't too heavy, and it’s still quite thin. I can only think of one drawback: it's uglier than the Smart Keyboard, which isn't beautiful either.

Also, the Slim Combo's arrow keys are in a better shape: the left and right are at the height of the down key, instead of the height of the up and down combined, makes it harder to accidentally hit the left and right keys.

I would rate this a 9/10, and I would rate the Smart Keyboard (which I spent like 30 minutes testing in the Apple Store, so take this with a grain of salt) a 6/10. It costs more, has a worse typing experience, isn't backlit, doesn't feel any more high-end, doesn't provide protection, only has a few viewing angles, lacks function keys, and doesn't have a Pencil holder.

The Smart Keyboard is only better for you if you really need your iPad to be super light and thin, and already have a protective case. The Slim Combo is a feature-rich, more comfortable, more durable option while the Smart Keyboard has the bare minimum in terms of features, and isn't protective.

This is an iPad PRO, and pro users will appreciate all the Slim Combo's benefits over the Smart Keyboard's one perk: its smaller form.

    Great case keyboard

    • Written by Alan M from Jardee

I bought this with quite a bit of apprehension after reading a lot of reviews, I really wanted the UAG Metropolis case but that was not available when I bought my 10.5, so I purchased the slim combo basically because there were some very good reviews albeit less than bad. I am very happy with it, keyboard attaches and disattaches very well, great to use without keyboard and excellent using the keyboard attached. A few complaints were about the backlight not staying on longer enough but that I find good, it stayed on as long as you were typing and when you stopped for a short period of time went off, just need to touch any key to illuminate again. Yeah it was a bit thick, but not that bad, overall a great case/keyboard that works well. Seemed very well made to me.

    Very Nice Product

    • Written by Michael M from Cooper City

I originally bought the Apple keyboard and iPad Sleeve, however this proved to be more of an inconvenience rather than a turnkey solution. In the absence of any back cover (which this product does supply), the rear of my iPad became scratched within a few days of usage, and the iPad often slipped out of my hands when the keyboard was not attached.

I will agree with prior reviewers that this product adds significant bulk and weight to the iPad. However, this unit as a whole is a much better protective keyboard/case solution for my iPad.The keyboard is excellent and very responsive. I like the backlighting and special keys.

I am very picky regarding technology products, however I will recommend this product as the best solution available if you need a keyboard and wish to balance that need with protecting your iPad.

If you want a REAL keyboard, this is it.

    • Written by Ryan G from Fishers

The negative reviews on this are really confusing. First, Apple's smart keyboard is great, but if you want an actual keyboard that feels like a keyboard, that soft rubber is more annoying than anything. The LogiTech slim is hard plastic because that's how a keyboard should feel. I don't get why people are surprised by this. Fingers and rubber that grip make for an awkward keyboard experience. This thing is fantastic.
