Apple should ask Logitech to remove the "works with Apple Homekit" badge...

    • Written by Mark & Stephanie A from Calgary

Got it as a gift but had just as much frustration as others who wrote negative reviews even though mine was free! This product is extremely difficult to sync with Apple Home. I was only able to link the bridge once, and even then the button did not activate. After a factory reset, and trying through the Logitech app, I was also unsuccessful. For a button that costs C$80 Apple should have product tested this more before permitting Logitech to place its HomeKit badge on the box. I'm also shocked at how slow this entire industry is at progressing and mostly how slow Apple has been at promoting.

    Do not buy this

These buttons do not work properly. You will waste hours trying to set it up, get frustrated, and then send it back. Save yourself the mental anguish and money.

Compatibility Options are NOT CORRECT on Apple's Website

    • Written by Gerald R from Chicago

WARNING: SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME AND READ THIS: I bought this product because it says "Compatible with iPhone X" & was looking forward to the features it offered. I downloaded the "Logitech POP" app, was able to get the bridge to sync, but the button could not be found on the app.According to Logitech customer service it can be configured with Homekit. The bridge synced seamlessly, but the button had to be configured in the Logitech Pop app. After approximately 2 months of my case being escalated to different tiers within Logitech Customer support they called me and told me that I need to also purchase a "Harmony Hub" from them or use one of the following 3 products to connect to Homekit: iPad with latest software, the 4K Apple TV, or the HomePod speaker. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANYTHING ELSE to configure buttons!!!! Apple says it's compatible with the iPhone X, which is why I bought it, but doesn't show anywhere on the product page that those 3 products I just mentioned were required to use this button. Absolute rip off and now I have a button and bridge that don't do anything.

    Not ready for prime time

    • Written by Christopher L from New York

The concept is great but poor execution of both software and hardware makes this product effectively useless. The Pop app requires multiple resets to finally connect with the product; the HomeKit app connects smoothly but doesn’t clarify how to add and program the buttons. The buttons cannot function as binary switches; you have to program one press to turn the circuit on, a double or long press to turn it off. This makes the system tiresome to use with household lighting. Button presses are not always acted upon and when they are, it takes three or four seconds for the button press to register and be acted on, so you cannot, for example, use the switches on household lamps and walk out the door confident that the lights will actually be turned off. Logitech’s website support materials are pathetically sparse on setup procedures and trouble-shooting; they basically only provide a link to their poorly designed app on the App Store. Logitech makes some other great products, so those who have made the mistake of purchasing this system can only hope that firmware and software updates will eventually make this a useful product. Wait until then.

    Not a useful product

    • Written by Subbu K from Cypress

I was hoping that this product bridges the gap of combining controlling AV equipment along with HomeKit accessories. This only does one or the other. You cannot combine both in a activity - for instance, when you turn on the Projector, you dim your light switch (non Hue). After playing around for a bit, I will be returning this. In hindsight, I should have read all the documentation and reviews before buying.

    Very Poor HomeKit integration

    • Written by Jayesh P from Harrow

I initially purchased the Logitech circle 2 security camera which was easy to setup with HomeKit and worked fantastic. Based on the experience with these - I was very happy with the setup - Having purchased the logitech pop I was totally disappointed with the experience. First of all the instructions are extremely limited. With the logitech circle you launch the app and the setup is done allowing HomeKit to be enabled - this has the advantage of being able to do firmware updates etc - HOWEVER on the logitech pop you have no option for this - you either setup as a logitech device on their app which means you cant use it on the homekit app - or you setup the HomeKit app - the first thing you will notice is the really long time you have to wait for the logitech bridge to be seen - and then the after that the buttons cant be assigned to HomeKit devices as advertised, which is really bad. If you look at the Ikea bridge - its simple you just add HomeKit and the switches work !! The problem is further heightened by the the lack of a customer service phone number - no live chat support - email responses in 48 hours - NOT GOOD. I am a bit disappointed that Apple has allowed logitech to use the HomeKit label when this product is not up to the high quality standards of Apple endorsed products - I just cannot believe Logitech would realise a product like this. The only reason I went to buy this product from an Apple retail store directly was that I found the one on Amazon didnt even have a HOMEKIT code to scan - Logitech's packaging on that was different from the one in the Apple store. For anyone interested in this product please read the reviews on amazon.com and you will see a fantastic review by someone who wrote an in-depth analysis of what I have said.

    Great w/Smart Lights

    • Written by Marco D from Peabody

These help so much to prevent guests from shutting off smart lights at the actual switch. Surprised I was able to set this up easily without needing to download yet another manufacture's app. If anything negative but not a huge deal breaker, I wish it could be setup so a single press turns the lights on and then a single press again turns them off, instead of needing a double press.

    Great buttons for HomeKit control

    • Written by Michael B from Houston

Purchased this starter kit and an extra button to have some physical buttons to control some HomeKit devices and scenes and they work great! Super easy setup. Only complaint is there isn’t a way to toggle a device, so you have to use a single press for either on or off, and a double press for the other, would be nice to have a single press toggle the device/scene on and off.

    Let the Buyer Beware!

    • Written by GREGORY S from Rockford

After hours factory resetting the button and the hub, deleting the accessory in HomeKit and reinstalling, it doesn't work. I spent an hour on the phone to Logitech technical support, and after dealing with three different people at three different phone numbers and being put on hold numerous times, I want my money back. Even if it worked, it will only work with either HomeKit OR the other devices on Logitech's product page. It can't do both at the same time. But mine does not do anything. If you decide to try this, buy it from the Apple Store or Amazon so you can take it back. I'm waiting for the Logitech store to tell me how to return it.
