Doesn't fit in the Mac USB Type-C ports

    • Written by Benjamín E from Santiago

It is a really bad product, I am surprised that is commercialized at the Apple Stores. The USB Type-C part of this flash drive doesn't fit in the USB Type-c ports of my MacBook Pro, it does not reach to the end of the Type-C port and I didn't want to forced. So, I couldn't mount it through its Type-C portion. The lumen of any USB Type-C cable or adaptor from Apple, is clearly different from the lumen of this this USB Type-C flash drive. It came in the Mac OSX Extended forma (journaled)t, so I had to formatted to FAT, after connecting the flash drive USB Type-A end to the adapter from Apple. However, even in FAT format, it was not recognized by my printer/scanner. In conclusion, this pendrive doesn't work as intended, doesn't fit in the Mac Type-C ports of the Mac, there is no difference with any flash drive that has only the Type-A connector, and is a lot more expensive.

USB-C not functional - USB-A only worked once - Very hot to the touch

    • Written by Kyle B from Philadelphia

    - USB-C never worked (my MacBook Pro didn't even read it).

    - Used the (standard) USB-A with an adapted and it worked once.

    - Since then it will not mount nor can I clear / reformat it.

    - It's also quite hot to the touch when using the USB-C side.

Potentially interesting but too many fault to be useful.

I received this USB drive last week and to be honest, I am very disappointed. As reported by many, this USB drive gets really hot to a point where it is a real problem, in my opinion. Furthermore, this USB drive work fairly well with MacBook Pro, iMac ... but doesn't work on PC running Windows 7. It was recognized on Lenovo and Dell laptops running Windows 10. I am a university professor and I run a laboratory with specialized equipment generating data. These instruments are controlled by PC running Windows 7 and I can't use this USB drive to transfer data. I need USB drive since these computer are not connected on the intra or internet. I did waste two days trying to find a solution and even discuss with SanDisk support people who were not very useful either ... I feel I wasted my money and I am very disappointed that Apple sell this product without testing the quality and usefulness.
