    I purchased the Lume cube March, 2019. The button switch was defective and intermittent. But that might have been OK as I planned to control the light from the app while video conferencing. However, the lowest setting on the app, 1%, was still too bright to have the light pointed directly at me, even with the diffusion filters on. It was distracting and irritating my vision. I'm returning this item.

    I received it today (Feb 27, 2019) and tried it out and I am satisfied with the quality and the lighting results. I am using it mostly for FaceTime and ScreenFlow. What I needed was a small lighting fixture that would give my face light without emphasizing my wrinkles and this does the job well. It has 4 levels of intensity for different lighting condition. I may buy another one to use at different locations.
