    worst product

    • Written by Kangli L from Madison

worst product ever! Does not even deserve 1 star. I use it only 10-15 times for three years and now the battery is broken (do not work unless charged). The battery replacement will cost 120 $, which does not make any sense for a product that will be broken after 10 time uses. I am even more frustrated with contact with tech support people. They seem not care about the issue. totally a waste of money...

    DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Written by Faith B

Product stopped working after 1.5 years and when called to find resolution I was told there was none by senior advisor.... Product started to make ringing sound when tried to play music. Would've liked any solution rather than women telling me there was none! Product was good for first year then conveniently after first year it stopped working.... I believe that no one will reach out to fix product issue. Very sad that it is the outcome most expect from this situation.

The power input port easily damaged

    • Written by Fred N

The power input port only works one way and is difficult to see. It was easily damaged while trying to plug in the injector This product is otherwise very good but now totally useless and. Un-repairable because of a poorly engineered and extremely fragile power input port

Don't expect it to last over two years

    • Written by John C from Bend

These speakers are junk, the cost to repair once the fail is $130. I have a dollar store $20 portable speaker that has lasted longer (sure the sound isn't as good). Very disappointed as all other Apple products have been great.

    Do not buy !

    • Written by Allison J from Wilmington

For the amount of money I know was paid for this speaker, I am totally disappointed and furious. When I opened the brand new packaging I was thrilled to see a beats pill, as I always have wanted one and my grandma finally bought one for me!! I could finally be the life of the party with this speaker.. well I thought. When connecting my phone to the pull and playing my songs I was soon let down with the fact the right side played music but the left sounded like it was on its dying side . It’s as if someone Already blew a speaker in it before I could even get a taste of it ! I’m totally disappointed apple would ship this out. And even more disappointed when I called a customer service there was no answer until I called back and the lady was trying to play me like I was stupid. Never would I recommend buying from apple or dre beats. Totally not satisfied

    Waste of money.

    • Written by Ejiro O

Personally if you are going for something loud, but JBL speakers, they are also water proof. I was truly and honestly disappointed when I tested the sound. In terms of the design the speaker is really but not in loudness. I expect much more due to the fact that it is pill +. A pro to it is that it comes with an iPhone charger but no aux unlike the previous model. Like I said if you want something loud and smooth go for jbl’s but if you want something for design got for beats. I personally would have taken the jbl’s but they didn’t have the color I wanted.

    Broken lightning port

    • Written by Dedy -

The lightning port 5th pin is missing from the port, so I cannot charge the speaker. Bring the speaker to the shop, and they can't fix it and don't have a spare part. I'm from Indonesia, buy this speaker from apple authorized store. Very sad, why the port or the pin so easy to break?

    Expensive piece of junk

    • Written by Patricia B

Had it for a year. Does not take charge. Was able to pair it with one devise but not with two other apple devises. Never again.

    Over-Priced Piece of Junk

    • Written by Paul C from San Mateo

I paid a huge premium for "the name" only to be left with a brick since it can't take more than a half-dozen battery charges...no kidding. Unfortunately, it's now out of warranty. The Apple employee in the store suggested I just purchase another one since the cost to repair would be about the same. Very disappointing experience from Apple. Oh, and I did not buy a replacement ;-)

I searched the Internet and realized that my battery problem is very common. I suggest you purchase a lower-priced, more reliable portable speaker.

After having it fir 8months,and hardly using it because I have a JBL flip2.the charging port quit charging rendering.it useless. One good thing is I bought it at a radio shack that was going out of business. So I got it at a discount price. However that does not excuse this company from producing garbage merchandise.

    $100 to repair

    • Written by Gabriel S

These beats products always break on me no matter how well I take care of them. They broke two months after the warranty so I paid to get them fixed rather than to throw them away. My disappointment was when my wireless2 broke after the warranty on the already replaced earphones. I am tiered of wasting my money on these beats products they seam like they are programed to fail. I will not buy one of there products until further improvements, and I truly will not recommend them to anyone.

    Disappointed!!!

    • Written by Rochel T from Plainfield

I previously owned the Pill XL and it was amazing! I miss it so much now, if I could get it back I would. So I waited to see what they would come up with, before buying another brand. The bass is terrible, but acoustics is very nice. I can't have a speaker with out good bass. I will be returning this to Apple. It definitely wasn't worth $229 more like $179

    Beats Pill Minus

    • Written by Steven K from McKinney

This is an upgrade from Beats Pill 2.0, but only the volume. It still lacks the bass that the original Bose Sound Link Mini produces. Beats is for kids.

I'm returning mine and getting the Bose Sound Link Mini 2. Better sound with all music, better bass. Definitely more for the Grown and Sexy.
