Won't ever purchase another beats product again

I used to love the beats headphones. I invested money in these because I was looking for good sound and bluetooth features. Not even after a year of purchase one headphone stopped working, took it back to Apple and they presented me with "new" ones. They claim that you can get 8 hrs from a film charge or 4 hours with a 45 minute charge. I'm lucky if I can get 2 hrs after charging it for well over an hour or more. I'm disappointed and will never buy another product of Beats again

    No functional

The sound quality is par at best for what’s on the market for headphones. The ear bud sizes are either too big to be comfortable or too small to stay in your ears properly. I had an earache for 2 days after the first day of using them with the default ear bud. Not worth 150$ to have to battle to keep something in your ears.

Button casing broke, $79 to fix

Purchased these as a gift for my daughter less than a year ago. Under normal use, not even workingout or anything strenuous, fell apart at the control button. I sent it in for repair and was told it was not covered and would cost $79 to repair the control’s casing. I have been a loyal Apple customer for years, even purchased the Beats Pill (which was recalled, I know, I know, fool me twice...). My daughter’s going off to college maybe I’ll pass on the “free” Beats that come with her laptop, they may cost me more in the end.

Love it while it's working (blinking lights of death)

When it's working, it's great, but then inexplicably, the beats X stops taking a charge and whenever you turn it on, it just blinks 3 times. I've tried the different ways to reset it, and eventually, it takes longer and longer to reset it, and then it just dies. First one died after a year, and second one (purchased about the same time for my wife, a little after that) Got another one cause it was on sale and it works great (when it's working).

Apple's Engineers know what they're doing!!!

The BeatsX have a very balanced, yet energetic and bright frequency response. The lows are present but not overwhelming, as previous in-ear attempts by Beats were. Emphasis on the high-mids gives vocals the center stage and high-treble emphasis provides a very detailed and enjoyable sound. You still get the 'W1 Magic' as seen with Apple's AirPods, like drastically increased range and automatic pairing with Apple devices. The design of these headphones falls in line with the design style of Apple's own design team, with a very understated yet premium design. These are the best sounding Beats yet and are well worth the price.

    Great but...

I was really impressed by the Beats X earphones. They sounded great, were comfortable and fitted really well. Although I still think that the cable to the ear pieces are too long.

The problem is, to get a seal and to get them to stay in your ears, you have to push them in a fair way. The issue there is that the only way to get them out is to pull the cable. You can't easily grip the main body of the earphones. I get interrupted a lot and you can't hear that well with them in so I have to take one side out regularly. 16 months later the side I normally remove a lot suddenly went dead. Messing around with the lead made them crackle into life for a short while but they quickly died again. I opened them in the hope of removing a short piece of faulty cable and resolder it back on. However, they use aluminium wire which refuses to solder.

So I have just bought another pair and I hope they last longer.

    Great sound, charge-ok

Love everything about these! Bought a pair for work. Expected about an eight hour playtime, but even with 100% charge I can’t get them to last longer than 5 hours. But they are so great in the sound department, I ended up just buying another pair to last my work day. (12-14 hours) It’s the same for both sets. 5-6 hours. But they have incredible sound and volume. Perfect fit for my ears. And super quick charging. Even with the charge problem, I would buy them again.

Worked like a charm, until it didn't

Really loved these headphones for about 9 months. They became an inseparable part of my daily life, hanging around my neck 90% of my waking hours. However, something happened and I was struck with the "curse of the three blinking lights" and the headphones just plain stopped working, despite all efforts to reset them. It seems there is no way to repair them from this state.

    Dead in only 23 days!

My son loved these. Loved. But after having them for only 23 days, the red and white light flashing issue arose. Had I learned about this issue, I would have never spent this kind of money on earbuds, or earDuds I should say. Better off finding a cheap pair for real.

    DO NOT BUY

Basically, I got the beats X headphones about a month ago because my old ones broke and I heard that these were good and worth the hefty price of $150. Well, I was wrong. I got these headphones not even a month ago, and they're already broken. I have no idea why or how. And I don't believe it's my fault because I've barely even used them this one month that I've had them. Do not waste your money! You're better off getting $10 ones from Walmart. And if you do, make sure to keep the receipt in case they break and you have to send them back to get repaired. Otherwise, they will make you pay (yet again) for the repairs.

    Sound Quality great, durability bad

    Pros:
    Sound Quality
    Comfort
    Portability
    Connectivity

    Cons:
    Durability

Initally it was fantastic. The beats were of good quality, had good sound and good connectivity. But after using it for a while, the first problem arose. It was the 3 blinking white lights. In the end i had to go change it for a new one. Then the second problem came along. The earbuds cable broke. As in between the 2 "pods" the firm cable. It seemed the connectors needed pushing in to switch on again. (Its like the cable disconnected from the battery) Thereafter the second problem happened again after i changed it for a new one. Now im out of warranty and i cannot get another one. Very disappointing.

    Awesome

Just recently I purchased the BeatsX and it has been great. I love that I am able to charger my BeatsX faster with Fast Fuel (5 minutes = 2 Hours of Playback). I don’t why some people give it a bad review. My recommendation would be to try BeatsX first. If you want sweat proof or water resistant than I recommend the PowerBeats 3.

Sound quality is ok, the wingtips are terrible

If you want good quality headphones, these aren’t the ones for you, however, if you want something that means you don’t need an extra cable and you can charge them quickly? These are the headphones for you. My biggest complaint about these would be the wingtips though, they have broken twice already and this is the second time I’m getting them replaced. If I had known the supports were plastic rather than rubber I wouldn’t have bought them, I must have small ears or something. So, all in all, it’s easy to use, decent enough sound isolation, very middle of the road in everything apart from the connection experience which was nice, not sure it’s worth the price I paid for them in the end though.

    Not durable

I thought paying more for a pair of headphones would provide me with a few years of use. Instead the battery is dead after one year and it will cost more than half the purchase price to repair them now. I recommend against purchasing these.

Best Wireless earphones for apple products

These earphones are incredible, never disconnects and signal has never dropped out (4 months). Sound Quality is far superior to AirPods and they provide great noise cancellation, the ear tips allow actual comfort compared to the awkward feel of traditional apple earphones. The design is sleek and fantastic for leisure and really easy to style with anything. Would recommend over all substitutes at least when it comes to apple device users.
