    Just not worth it...

    • Written by Paul D from Orangevale

Minus 3 stars for the following:
-constant... drop, connect, drop, connect, drop, connect... when paired
-quality/reliability... by no means does the sound quality match the price tag... nor does the user experience overall.

Awarded 2 stars for the following:
-portability... the case and lack of wire is quite nice
-style/fit... perfect fit and style for what I look for in a BT ear bud.

The "ends" don't justify the means. Paying over $150 for air buds would require them to be a flawless and perfect accessory. That's simply not the case. There are forums with thousands of customers complaining about the same things I did... and Apple has not produced anything to fix it. My opinion is that you stick with the wired, standard headset that comes with your phone. The wire stinks, but the reliability is what makes it better.

    Horrible for phone calls

    • Written by Matthew S from LINDEN

The sound during a call will pop and click nonstop. I have called support several times and they even swapped them once. It's absolutely annoying. People on the other end complain about the quality of the connection. When I switch to my iPhone, everything is fine. I have also found that they don't activate immediately and sometimes I need to take them out of my ear and put them back in. I've given up on using them for anything but lengthy handsfree calls and only if it is absolutely necessary. Another POS Apple product. Save your money. These aren't worth it.

The Worst Apple Product I Have Ever Purchased

    • Written by Jesse I from New York

I purchased the AirPods with high hopes and expectations. I mean, Apple, right? This is hands down the worst product I have every purchased from Apple. I experience major connectivity issues constantly. The AirPods seem to have trouble "talking" to my iPhone. The sound quality is average, at best. They constantly fall our or, at best, dangle loosly from my ear lobe. I don't get it Apple. When you shipped the free wired version of your headphones with the iPhone year after year, everyone complained about the fit. Every complained that they constantly fell out. One would think you'd take in this feedback to design something better...to design something that "just works". Instead of thinking about redesigning the portion of the ear buds that sit inside the ear, you kept the same design and the same problems persist. Finally, the AirPods are greedily overpriced beyond words. $160 for troublesome ear buds with connectivity issues and average sound quality is something only Apple has the gall to pull off. I want Apple to be succeed. I want Apple to continue its legendary history of innovation. But these AirPods left me disappointed. I don't know what's going on at Apple these days. We're seeing quality issues like never before. We're feeling more and more pressure to purchase Apple Care because we can no longer trust the quality of their products. We're seeing a business model based on planned obsolescence and "sustainability", which doesn't even make sense. Please pull it together. Please listen to your users. Please take our feedback seriously. I am getting very close to the last straw.

Great for Leisure, not for the Gym

    • Written by Gabby E from Concord

I purchased these for the gym given that they were wireless, as having cords flying around when you’re working out is the worst! For the first few sessions using them, I had no issues regarding them slipping out of my ear and sound quality. The third or fourth time, however, I noticed a sharp decline in how loud they were. By no means are they marketed as ‘sound canceling’ earbuds, but given that they do not cancel out background noise AND not being loud enough, it makes for a bad gym experience, as for me particularly, music is an essential component to my workout. All in all, I think these are great for being out and about, or for using leisurely, but take a pass on these if you’re looking for quality headphones for the gym (because these aren’t it).

    Hardtime using airpods

    • Written by Henrique D from Belo Horizonte

Trying to use it with my iPhone it gets disconnected after 30 seconds EVERY TIME (using with different Apps)

Trying to use it with my Mac, when I play fornite, all the game sound is turned off when my voice is enabled. Using my Apple earbuds with cable works fine.

When I try to check battery life opening and closing the case, it never recognises my devices and the dialog to display battery life never shows up.

So basically everything I try to do with it, I have a hard time. It's way too expensive to not work properly.

I was gifted these Apple AirPods as a secret Santa gift and wow am I amazed.

First thing I did when I got these was taking the AirPods up with me to Mammoth Mountains so I can snowboard with them on. Astonishingly, they stayed on my whole snowboard sesh! Even after taking a few nasty wipeouts!!

This product is durable, fits perfect in my ears, sound quality is amazing and in my opinion, stylish.

I really love these earphones, they sound great, they’re convenient and they fit just fine in my ear. One thing I didn’t like was that I dropped one AirPod and it got scratched so now it looks like they’re old. Another issue I have with these is the fact that they attract lint and dirt, I constantly clean them and wipe them away because they attract things- none of these things are issues with the quality of the product so I can deal with them. My only concern and the reason why I deducted a star is because I always have connectivity issues. It takes so long for my AirPods to actually connect to my phone. The image shows as soon as I open the case but the sound does not come on right away, sometimes it doesn’t even connect with my iPhone even though they’ve been set up on the phone. It gets annoying taking the earphone in and out of the case trying to make them work.

I've had my AirPods for well over a year now and they are just fantastic. They are easy to pair and within seconds you'll be able to use them. They also sound great and are all around just an amazing product that I carry around with me everyday and take everywhere I go.

AirPods have made a believer out of me!

    • Written by Steven B from Dallas

I've had my AirPods for over 15 months, and they are TERRIFIC. I can NEVER go back to wired ear phones ever again. EVER.

PROS: SUPER EASY TO SETUP. I was amazed at how easy these were to set up (literally just seconds to pair and start listening out of the box). I work at an office in a cubicle and I wear these every day for at least a few hours. The sound quality is fantastic; and the microphone works great for phone calls. I also run A LOT and use these on short and long runs; even fast runs around the track (I train for marathons throughout the year). I have NEVER had an issue with these staying in my ears, as many potential buyers have asked me about. In fact, they stay in BETTER than wired ear phones because I found that the wires would tug as I ran and eventually one of the ear buds would fall out--super frustrating! These AirPods sit perfectly on the outside of your ear canal (they don't shove into your ear canal like most non Apple ear phones, which usually have awesome sound quality at the expense of hurting my ears...not worth it IMO). AND these are super easy to charge; and they charge fast!! The pod case they come in holds enough reserve charge to recharge these pods at least twice, which is really nice--I don't have to plug in the pod charger as much as I would have to otherwise. Lastly, these things are very comfortable to wear; in fact, I find it easy to forget I'm even wearing them! That was so not the case with other ear phones I've tried--but again, I am NOT a fan of ear phones that shove into my ear canal as that really gives me an ear ache after just half an hour.

CONS: On some occasions, they can be glitchy. For example, (and this is pretty rare) one of the ear pods randomly cuts off and I only have one thats working. I usually have to insert them back into the charger and then put them in my ears again--and it works! Also, they're not cheap; but for me all the PROS far outweighs the cons and make the cost worth it. I suppose if you lose small things easily, it could be a con that these are so small. But I find that any time I'm not wearing them I immediately put them in the charging case, and for some reason I find it easy to always know where my case is (I guess the high cost of it makes me hyper attentive to where I put it!).

Overall, I can honestly say this is one of the best purchases I have made in the last couple years. I don't regret it, and I highly recommend to anyone who's an Apple fan to give them a try.

    Love it

    • Written by Angeleea H from Craig

Ok they are the best thing ever but seeing all the reviews make me wannna tell people about what they are saying like the Siri won’t work when you double tap it it does you just have to go to setting and change it. Or like the slipping out your ear thing just buy ear hooks of your having that issue. The you cant walk away from your phone cause at a certain distance it disconnects I mean if you don’t wanna lug around your phone that’s your issue so don’t complain about it. Just because they don’t work with non apple products is fine cause it’s how they are programmed. I have a few suggestions for later AirPods though maybe add a bar on the side that can lower volume or increase it and maybe some how add water resistance like the Apple Watch so You can’t worry about dropping them in water. These are a great invention can’t wait for future AirPods :)

    March2018-January 2019

    • Written by Roberto T from Howell

PROS:Works great when I’m sitting behind the desk for 8 hours. Charge last the work day and the features are easy to manipulate.

CONS: Do not recommend for working out or jogging. The slippery texture makes the ear buds way too easy to fall out. Also trying to adjust them to stay in will activate Siri more than half the time. At $150, I don’t think I need to buy gel caps or ear hooks to make the product work for me in an active state. i Have never been more frustrated than while trying to work out and trying to get my AirPods to 1. To stay in 2. Not have Siri interrupt the song. Ended up buying anothe brands sports wireless headphones Which is a bummer as they too were $150

    Great Product, Great Sound

    • Written by Callum S from Mandurah

I recently bought the Apple Airpods. As soon as I had opened them I knew they were great quality. They were so easy to set up. Literally open the cap, turn bluetooth on and they were connected. Great that you can not only connect to iPhone, but Mac and Apple Watch on the same iCloud account. Great sounds, and detects when they are in your ear. Really like the Siri option. Great charging case, and was suprised Lightning Connector was included. Great size of the case, and fits in your pocket perfectly. Overall, a great product. Would definitely recommend.

    Great experience while it lasted!

    • Written by Leandro T from Berlin

Very confortable and practical. The sound quality does not bother because of those other two high points. But I happened to have lost it last week, and since then I AM REALLLY ANNOYED by the fact you are only able to "find your airpods" via the app unless they are CONNECTED to the PAIRED device. It makes no sense, based you register on icloud with your Serial Number. It should behave like the iphone and I should be warned via icloud if its paired to some other device without the "first owner" erasing it from icloud. So I believe this is a business model for Apple, you loose it and buy another one. Magical like that! For those who have it, I recommend taping your phone number with a message for the good souls that may find it in case you loose it, which I regretefully didnt do, as I assumed it would be "found".

    Amazing product!

    • Written by Josh T from Paignton

I recently purchased the AirPods because of the issue of constantly accidentally pulling the EarPods out of your ears by the wire. And these fixed that problem excellently. They are so comfortable and they never fall out of my ears even with the most vigorous work outs. And the charge speed of these is just amazing they literally charge up in no time. As for the sound quality it’s pretty good it’s not amazing but then your not paying £200-£300 for headphones. The Bluetooth range is also really good as I can leave my phone on charge upstairs and go down to make a drink and still listen to music or take calls with no disruption. So overall it does exactly what it says on the tin. They are convenient, comfortable and useful. Would highly recommend.
