It started off working just right but after a couple of weeks. The quality of the sound began to get worse as I could not really hear much. The frustration of the pods disconnecting countless of times every time I try to connect them back it would give me an issue. I see all these great reviews I must of been the lucky one to get a defective piece.

    Convenience is everything

I previously had some bluetooth earbuds, which were liberating at the time (compared to wired) but the freedom you feel with the Airpods is astounding.

Also the convenience, which means you end up using them more. Walking down the street hearing turn-by-turn instructions over the music is great, and when you're in the gym there's no annoying cable noise when running.

I was hesitant to buy, but will never go back!

    It’s awesome

This AirPods gives you the chance to listen to the music and to hear it with a very beautiful and filtered sound and you would feel the you are inside the party

So-so sound quality, lousy battery life

I really regret this purchase. The sounds quality is no better than the ear buds. The batter life is awful. And the reliability of the blue tooth is suspect as it keeps cutting out. They do fit your ear better but they are WAY overpriced. What I have is worth about 20 bucks, in my opinion, compared to everything else on the market today.

    Truly ahead of their time

best experience i've had with earbuds hands down. I decided to wait an entire year to write this review to be as fair as possible. now that everything is updated to ios 12, the experience has been even faster! the range i can go without losing audio is very far - for scale, I'm able to go at least 50 feet and have no issues with audio. I love everything about these and couldn't recommend them enough.

    Awesome headphones

When I talk on the phone no one knows that i'm not on my phone. the sound is clear and great and they tend to stay in my ears and don't easily fall out unless I'm chewing

    Not compatible with android phones

Although able to connect, the volume is capped on on android devices with the airpods so its a struggle to hear anything playing. Would reccimend another brand specifically designed for androids.

    IF ONLY....

I received my AirPods as a gift just 3 days ago. i was loving them. People could hear me clearly without all the background noise and i could hear them. I learned i didnt have to use both just one, leave the other one in he case. yep it was perfect and then not even 48 hours have misplaced the small case that has my other one AirPod inside. ...... OMG if only we could find the AirPods case this would be wonderful. I shouldn't have to buy another company finder to attach to my AirPods to locate an device. now have no more AirPods these things are too expensive and the replacement for a case and 1 ear bud is just as much as buying it all over again. so hopefully if they comet with a newer model this one will have a locator on the case and a clip so you can clip it onto something.

    Work okay until lost

The headphones work okay. Not nearly as good as Bose but still work fine. However, if you lose them, the Find my iPhone that is used to locate them only saves their location for 24 hours and after that, they are lost. It seems as if Apple hopes you lose them as the software they provide you to help find them is extremely underdeveloped. Buy them if you want half decent headphones that are easy to lose and hard to find.

    Battery runs out fast

They’re great headphones, no doubt about that. But the battery on the pods ran out faster over time.

A great product so far, simple to use

I have owned the AirPods for about 2 weeks and I really love the convenience of them. I have been able to get about 2-3 hours of phone time on them and about the same for listening to music. The Bluetooth connection is very strong and I'm able to freely walk around my apartment with them on without concerns regarding losing connection. The sound quality seems slightly better than the wired EarPods though definitely not a game changer. They recognize that I put them in every time and connect automatically and charge very quickly in the case when they're low. I feel like you are paying for the convenience and I do believe the sound quality is very good. To everyone complaining about losing their AirPods, just take better care of them and keep track of your things. I feel that coming into owning these items you know they are small; if you think you will lose them buy something that will be easier to keep track of. I know that Apple products are expensive though I really enjoy this purchase so far and love being able to not have my regular EarPods snagged when I am walking, exercising, or doing work around my apartment.

    Stopped working after a week

For all the great press these buds get, I think it all because these guys reviewed them for less than a week. After one week of using these, I keep having to reset the connection to my iPhone. For over 150 bucks I expect way more consistent automatic and wireless connection. Don’t believe all those other reviews; those guys probably got free AirPods that were only paired with their iPhones, and no other devices. Nothing is more frustrating that having to spend 20 minutes resetting the “well-designed” Bluetooth and pairing to have it work, and then having the AirPods suddenly cutout and have loud music blasting in public. Do better Apple...

    Love my airpods

My son and I have had our AirPods since they were released. We both love them. They have not had a hitch since we got them and both of us use them daily. They are unobtrusive, comfortable and stay in place.
The clarity when talking on your phone is excellent for both parties,.
They hold their charge well and I love that you get the battery life notification for both the AirPods and the case every time you connect.
My son’s AirPods in the case have even been through a complete wash cycle once and they survived, much to my amazement. Not that I would recommend that.

I would recommend this product very highly.

    Super advanced, but barely usable

I was super excited to buy these buds, and they are a great product. But you lose a lot of features just for convenience. To me, I don't think the sacrifice is worth it. First you lose the remote control so you can't adjust the volume without reaching for your phone or watch at all. The double tapping isn't all that reliable. You can only register 1 action per bud, and they are limited to siri, previous/next track, play/pause. It also requires a certain amount of force and the location to tap needs to be precise. After a couple days I learned the tricks but it's still cumbersome and awkward to use. So barely usable controls. The sound, well just louder version of earpods. So, barely usable. The dual mic is said to be super intelligent and great, but in fact they are, well, your caller can hear your sound. So, barely usable. It's also completely not noise isolated, just like the earpods. So on a train or bus, you have to crank up the volume to at least 80% to hear anything.

The good side is that it's super convenient and magical, and, cool. The connection is easy and reliable. Pull them out of the case, ding, they are connected. There isn't any bluetooth earbuds came close to them. And the case lid is addictive to play with, like a zippo lighter. The comfort is fine, they feel very natural and don't give any stress to your ear. If not by direct force they don't fall off your ear. Yes it's still a way bigger risk of losing them than wearing wired bluetooth earbuds.

    Things they could have done:
Allow swipe gesture on the stems to adjust volume
Come with wireless charging case directly
    Bluetooth 5.0 upgrade
    Some sort of noise isolation

    $160 headphone ????

That's what I thought also. Then I watched a video on youtube of a user who was updating his poor review of his Airpods after using and now loving them so I decided to give them a try. Setup was so easy I did it by accident. I accidentally opened the case next to my iphone and they connected. Ok, that was easy, how do I connect it to my ipad, oh its already set up, its showing up on both Macbooks, and its showing as an option on my apple tv ( it is automatically added and configured to any Apple device you are logged in on ). It even works with my work iPhone which is on a different Apple account. They work with both or just one in your ear. You can control Siri and your Apple TV ( basic stuff ). Best part is how well it works with the Apple TV. I normally have the closed captions on to "hear" the TV, with the Airpods in I can actually hear what is being said. If you only have one Apple device, these might now be the best option for you, there are cheaper headphones. If you have multiple Apple devices, then the price is well worth it. One easy ( or even accidental ) setup on your iphone and you are done.

    I am amazed

My daughter wanted a set for he birthday. I went in to try them expecting them to sound a bit naff, came out with a set for myself.

Free of wires and also free of the "charging pain" of all other wireless headphones. These are incredibly well thought out.
