    Don’t believe the hype.

Received these headphones as a gift 4 days ago, and would of honestly gave them a 4 star rating if they would still be working. I started to get issues with charging of the headphones and unfortunately they stopped working completely. I tried all of the trouble shifting methods suggested, but got no positive results! Highly disappointing piece of electronic! Would strongly recommended NO ONE TO PURCHASE THESE. Luckily I can still return them so I didn’t suffer any loss other then the disappointing experience.

I love the product, but its reliability is horrendous.

I really really like these headphones... when they work. I just sent my Matte Silver BeatsX headphones in for the 3rd time for repair. The sound quality is good, probably better than all my speakers except my Sony studio headphones at my desk. They are very easy to use, charge quickly, last practically all day (about equivalent to an iPad's battery life), and are easy to sync between my Mac, my iPhone, and my iPad. I like the Matte Silver finish; it's subtle and refined. The bluetooth connection is reliable, however, I've noticed that it can be interrupted by concrete. I DIY maintenance work on my cars, and laying on the ground with the phone above me can sometimes cause the connection to drop. That's ok; I bet similar headphones would have similar issues. Setup is very easy to do.

But. All that is tempered because of the unreliability. I've owned dozens of Apple products over the years; at least 10 Macs, a dozen or more iPods, a dozen iPhones, a half dozen iPads. None of those products has ever failed me; if they broke, it was because I broke them. But these BeatsX headphones - which are still my favorite headphones for daily use - have failed three times in the past 10 months. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

    TRASH!

Unreliable, stopped working after 8 months of use. Volume drops whenever it wants. Just loses connection and just totally awful. Idk how these are still on the market.

    DO NOT BUY

I bought two pairs - one for myself and one for my brother. Mine were the first to go. I would plug it in and it wouldnt' charge. the power light did not even turn on. I called into Apple Care and got a new pair. That pair has lasted 2 months. This time, it's the bluetooth connection. I workout in these headphones and every time the right side battery bar on the headphones brush against my collar bone, it turns off! I have to re-connect them, but it takes forever. I turn it on and off about 4-5 times. At this point, I am so frustrated I don't even want to finish my workout.

I am on the phone with Apple Care again and I'm on hold. I am writing this as I want to warn everyone - do not waste your time and money with these stupid headphones. Totally overpriced for garbage.

Battery Dies After Only A Year!

I bought these in September of 2016, treated them well, no damage, nothing and the battery completely died in the beginning of August 2017. Went and got them fixed, now it's July 2018 and the battery has died AGAIN. For $150 there is no reason I should have to fix and/or replace them literally once a year. I know this isn't an issue specifically with mine either, because my boyfriend has a pair and the EXACT SAME THING happened to him - just under a year and the battery totally died. Do not purchase, total trash.

    Poorly made garbage

I received these as part of the education promo less than a year ago. Within a few months they started to come apart! First one of the “b”s came off. Then the rubber started to become detached from the plastic housing on the power button side. What’s worse is that when I sent them in for repair they wanted to charge my $79, claiming it was “accidental damage”. BS, the adhesive didn’t fail in completely different spots on “accident”.

In the past I have had good experience with Apple products, but this makes me seriously question their current quality control standards!

I absolutely love them except the die every 3-6 months

I have had these sent in for repair/replacement twice and the 3rd pair has just now died outside of warranty and I'm SOL. For a set of headphones that I spent about $150 on, I am extremely disappointed in their build quality. Pair one had the power button go bad. Pairs two and three had the right earbud go dead. I only use them sitting at my desk at work. That's it.

I wanna love these things. They're exactly what I want in bluetooth buds, but they're extremely unreliable and I'm super disappointed in them. I cannot recommend anybody spend good money on these things.

    Didn't last long

Had these around a year. Sound is OK, but often lost connection to my phone. Every few weeks, had to reset earphones, delete from Bluetooth list & reconnect again. Now I only have white light flashing three upon startup & no matter what I've tried, based on online support, they won't start up any more & indicate endless charging. I don't recommend these earphones if you want good sound quality and a reliable product.

You have better options then these

On the plus side they are long enough to comfortably hang down around your neck for anyone. The magnets on the end are a great way too keep them on and not lose them when not in use. However the sounds is just OK. Not bad sound quality but not good either. You have many other choices out there that are much better. Like Bose. Unfortunately if you want the Bose that is similar to this par then you cannot buy from apple as they do not offer them. I also own a pair for the beats sport and the sound does seem to be better than this pair and the battery life is amazing.

Have been the best wireless over neck style.

I love these headphones they have been the best everas far as wireless. I recommend them to anyone. We work construction we also haul trucks big 18 wheeler‘s and I’ve had them about six months now and the only LITTLE problem that I have and sometimes the connection is aggravating to get connected. But simply just unlock your phone hold the power button and click connect on your iPhone. I work around grinders and heavy equipment and very loud things if I put the BeatsX and turn the music half to 3/4 I don’t hear anything else around me if I get a phone call, they work perfect if I’m in the vehicle or not around noise but I’ll go in but if I’m around loud noises all you have to do is hold the mic closer to your mouth and it works perfectly fine the people that are writing these as one star probably got a bad bunch and I’m sorry to hear that I really hope you can try them again because last I’ve seen they were on sale for $89.99. I paid $110 and they have been worth every penny so far and I will recommend them to Everyone in anymore thank you Apple for making this product better. Also everyone I’ve asked on the other end of gone say they hear me just fine.

    technological problem

hi i have been using beats from last 1 year they are great but the only problem i felt they do not provide priority to one connected device

i visited store in regards to this they had no idea over this

this problem is only with these beats earphones and with no else

so, if you have one of this and you have connected them with multiple devices in couple of days or time since you bought them, suppose my beats are connected with X Y AND Z devices

currently i am using device x and listening music or calling someone using beats and suddenly Device Y turns his bluetooth on and tries to connect my beats which are already connected with device X, the beats ll disconnect my network and ll join with device Y with no priority to which device they are connected and if in case Z tries to do same they ll disconnect device Y and gets connected to device Z.

so whoever ll try to connect beats, beats get connected to them (one who had connection with them earlier not a new device)

no else series do so they tells you that device is connected with some else device and connection can not be established.

Brilliant headphones, didn't think they would be so good

I bought these headphones as I fancied something wireless and whilst the earbuds are good i wanted something that would block out external sound, so I bought these. Best decision ever. They come with a number of fittings and I have to admit it took me a while to find the best for me but they fit snugly and block out lots of external sounds. A lot is made of how easy they are to pair with an iPhone, which they are, but you do this once and never have to think of it again. The battery life on them is good, but what is great is how quickly they charge. It makes the battery life irrelevant. 5mins of charging makes them usable for hours. The only down side I would say, and this is not really that bad, is that it took me a while to practice putting them back into the case, they fold in a special way that isn't that intuitive. Overall they're great, don't regret buying and I would buy them again in a flash.

Great sound but breaks too quickly

I bought mine during Black Friday of 2017 and the sound is really good and amazing at blocking out outside noises even thought they aren't noise canceling. I enjoyed them a lot and got a lot of compliments, but suddenly out of no where the power button stopped working. The light still turns on and it still charges but the power button is unresponsive.

    Worst headphones I've ever owned

These are just terrible, and money would be so much better spent paying an extra $10 for airpods. I wanted wireless headphones for running, but the weight of the battery and controls is so much that these are constantly being pulled out of my ears from the force of these bumping up and down. Makes for a very uncomfortable workout. Aside from that, the sounds is bad for the price. Wish I hadn't bought them.

    WORST HEADPHONES EVER

I bought this headphones for freaking $110 and it wasn't working from the moment I bought. I had to exchange it for another defective piece. This second defective piece was again replaced. It took about 10 days to enjoy the first experience of beats. And now the third one isn't working. All the three had the same issue. The earphones don't get charged. When three earphones have a similar problem, it is a flaw in the fundamental design of the earphones.
This will remain the worst purchase I ever made. This is my ever first review for any product. I am doing this to show my sheer frustration and to wake up the engineering team to build better earphones.
I thought of gifting this to a friend. Now I would not even recommend this to anyone. Thank you for making me roam around your stores for months along. :(

    Free airline earbuds are better

These headphones have worse sound quality than the free earbuds that airlines hand out. The tin sound was unforgivable. Setup and pairing worked perfectly, and I like the style and fit, but I'm returning due to complete lack of quality.

    Not for working out!!

I got these late January and they completely died by the end of February! These do NOT work if you workout with them. The second I got sweaty in my workout the controls didn’t work. The volume would go all the way down and up by itself, the songs would skip, and I couldn’t turn it off because all the buttons/controls on it wouldn’t turn off. The cord was also really long which I didn’t particularly like. When these worked for the first couple weeks I really liked them because the sound quality was great for wireless headphones. If you are just using these for school, running errands, etc. these are the headphones for you. If you’re trying to hit the gym with these I would keep searching.

    So disappointed!

I had high expectations from this product and it was equivalent to the $20 pair I had. No bass it was horrible! I’m so bummed. Don’t waste your money.
