    They Break so easily

    • Written by James B from chippenham

I've had my beats X for around 5 months, they broke, like all the other comments on here. However, I will give credit to Apple when it is due, as they broke within 5 months they were still in warranty and sent them off for repair, within 3 WD I got sent a new pair , However, I fear that they will also break in 5 months time and if they do I will dramatically change the tone of this review. so currently this review can stay at a 3. I hope they have sent me a new durable model.

    Great while they worked.

    • Written by Will R from Reading

Honestly these headphones were great while they worked. Comfortable, sounded good (I'm an audio philistine and don't have much to compare them against, but music came out), and they worked great with the iPhone.

However.. the headphones died completely while within warranty and were sent away for repair, worked great again for a few months, and have just recently died again - now outside of warranty. Its a little difficult to stomach replacing them at this cost when they haven't been used particularly intensively during that time.

    Great...when they work

    • Written by Caitlyn B from Seekonk

One of my favorite pairs of earbuds I've ever owned. Sound quality is great, battery life is good. Unfortunately, like other people, I have the same problem with the red and white flashing light.

The earbuds turn off and don't connect. The power button flashes between red and white. When you plug them in and unplug them, you can connect for about 15 seconds before the process repeats over. This has happened to me with two pairs now, one 9 months after I started using them and the other about 7 months. Thankfully, Apple's customer service is great and easy to work with to resolve the problem, I just wish they didn't break as often as they do.

    Less accessories same price?

    • Written by Javier C from Springfield

I lost my first pair, so I ordered a new set. Open the box and no wing tips of carrying case. Had I known that I would not have ordered them just on principle since I paid the same as my first pair.

    Very Good Headphones.. Except...

    • Written by Haris W from Toronto

I received the Beats X back in the winter season of 2017. For the first year, they were very good. The W1 chip made pairing very quick with my iPhone, and sound quality was very respectable. Sound isolation was also very good. However, 9 months after using them, the dreaded blinking lights occurred. I tried everything to fix them, but it ended up with me making a trip to the Apple Store and having them shipped off to the warehouse for repairs. I got them back a week later and everything was good until just recently. The right earphone itself died, out of the blue. I have yet to find a fix, and at this point am pretty sure they are unfixable with what I can do. I contacted Apple once again, and now since my Beats X are out of warranty, I would have to pay $99+tax CAD for a repair. At that point, I may as well buy a new pair of headphones all together.

Amazing BUT no low battery level warning

    • Written by Mary M

+ Sound quality + easy to use - the only reason im giving it a 3 star is there is no way to have a warning of low battery (other than barely 5 minutes before and if even). This is really inconvenient when you are on the way to the gym and then stuck without music.

    Great sound, but...

    • Written by Krystl O

These headphones have amazing sound quality, but they do not last. I've had mine for just over a year. JUST over a year and they broke today. I have always taken great care of them, but now one side won't work. $150.00 wasted. Save your money and find something better quality.

Great while it lasted, but ended up disappointing

    • Written by Taylor Y

I got them for working out and for that purpose, they work just fine. You are able to adjust the size of the ear bud, so it's not necessary really for the wing. Also, its awesome that you can charge using your iPhone charger. That definitely was a huge plus and convenient. But unfortunately, they just died and stopped working so soon. I haven't even had them for half of a year and all of a sudden they won't turn on or restart no many how many times I've tried. It's frustrating because I hoped that they would be more durable to get your moneys worth, but I guess not.

    Good headphones, terrible wingtips

    • Written by Tomasz S

The headphones are good quality, lighting charging and battery life are good, but the wingtips broke after 3 months of use and replacement set was 12 dollars. Seems excessive given the price of the headphones in comparison to the competition.

    Not as Good as AirPods

    • Written by Youssef K from Scarborough

I used these earphones for a week and switched back to my apple earbuds. The W1 chip is extremely good, and makes switching between apple devices seamless. They also did stay in my ears during running however they had to be pushed in well into the ear canal. What I didn't like was the look of the device while wearing. I don't find it very stylish because of the clunkiness of the batteries and the look of the wires. I would suggest the apple AirPods over these due to the AirPods better looks and less wiring.

    Don't last long.

    • Written by Alex S from Lehi

I love my BeatsX. I do not like the Airpods because they are so hard, and don't noise cancel, I find them very uncomfortable. These are perfect. However, after 6 months they broke and I had them sent back to Apple to fix, and after about 3 months with my "new" pair, I got the red and white flashing light of death.

All in all, 3 stars because they are great when they work, but I'm supposed to pay $100 a year for headphones? ew....

Great headphones but they don't last

    • Written by Emily P from Rotherfield

I got my first pair of BeatsX in March 2018. Since, then I have had two replacements so I'm onto my third pair in 10 months. These headphones are great, easy to use and great sound quality. However, they are not very reliable. However, Apple have been great at replacing them. Both times I've received a replacement within four days of sending them off.

Sounds good but not very reliable

    • Written by eric L

This earphones sounds and feels good. the included accessories are cool and the fast charge comes in handy for morning workouts the downside is that they're not very reliable, I'm on my 3rd set due to some issue with the Bluetooth connection. They last an average of 4 months, still under warranty and really hoping that this last set works just fine.

    Not what I expected

    • Written by Andre J

These headphones sound great. However, they easily fall out my ear. Even after changing the different sizes. And I only get 5 and a half hours of playing time. If it wasn’t a Christmas gift from my wife I would seriously return them. Save your money! My Samsung’s Bluetooth are way better and cheaper.

    poor battery life

    • Written by Zac M

my dad purchased these exact ones last month the saturday after thanksgiving and just recently asked him how they were because i know he lives on the phone with conference calls. he says they last about an hour or so… he’s a “fully discharge and fully recharge before use” kind of person too. other than that, he says they’re pretty good.

    Quality Sound

    • Written by h P

No doubt with the sound quality. I bought a wireless solo and works perfectly. I recently bought a wired Urbeats 3 but does not include CARRYING POUCH ;( which plays an essential role in taking good care of my beats.

    Great until battery issues

    • Written by reinier V

Great device, great reach, great quality. Until all of a sudden the battery is useless. Drains automatically, and after a direct charge works for about 30 minutes tops and is dead again. This was after about one and a half year use.

    Right earbud not working

    • Written by Ratanak M

Worked for a few months then the right earbud no longer worked. I didn't drop it, put it near any liquid, or anything of the sort that would harm my BeatsX. Kinda ashamed cause I really like it.
