    Good sound quality, bad design

    • Written by Devin M from Plainsboro

So the music sounds good, but the 3.5mm plug, and the rubber "jacket" around it are badly designed. I had the first pair purchased replaced under warranty, and a couple of months later, the same issue occured, where the rubber started to tear. Apple now wants $49 for a replacement. If you're spending $60 for a set of headphones, they should last and be durable enough to withstand some bending for a couple of months. Beats Headphone quality has gone down, in my opinion, since the Apple acquisition.

    Downgrade from its predecessor

    • Written by Ben S

Had earlier version of the UrBeats for the last 4 years. Unfortunately mine died, no more audio in the left earbud. I bought the new UrBeats3 and noticed the major difference in price, now $59.99 rather than the $99.99 I paid in the past. Got the new ones, plugged them in...VERY UNIMPRESSED. Not even close to the predecessor in every way possible in regards to sound quality. Apple being a company that boasts about its ability to make great products completely blew it on these. Save yourself the money and go buy ANYTHING else. The UrBeats3 are the equivalent of anything you can buy off the shelf in the Walgreens checkout line.

    Bang For The Buck

    • Written by Angelo A

Just bought urBeats3 and so far, from my history of using Beats headsets (from the original Beats Tour to urBeats v1 space gray until my recent purchase), I liked that they have toned down the overly powered bass of their previous in-ear headsets. The highs, mids and lows are just perfect for my taste, together with some tinkering with tuners and equalizers, they really sound great for it's fair price point! I just hope that they last long since the product warranty runs up only until a year when you purchased it, but so far, the build quality is great. The eartips and wingtips are a good plus! Overall, I'm very satisfied with urBeats3, and would recommend to other people as well.

    No bass

Seriously like zero bass at all and the cable is too stiff. It pulls the earphones out constantly. Going back to Wally today.

    Terrible

    • Written by Matthew R

Product sound quality and design are average. However, the quality of this product is terrible. The product last 3-4 months until they started to malfunction.
    Do not buy.

    Not worth It

    • Written by BARBARA C from MISSOURI CITY

I purchased the urBeats3 online and picked them up at the store. Three hours later I plugged them into my MAC and I heard nothing!! In trouble shooting, I plugged in some old Sony headphones and the sound was perfect. That let me know there was nothing wrong with my MAC it was these awful earbuds. There is no on or off switch. No lights to indicate there is power. No way to charge. They are suppose to be plug and play. THEY DIDN't PLAY. What's in the box: changeable earplugs (that do not fit properly - they slide out your ear) and an insert with very little information about the product. They are not worth $70. I will return them to the store!! So disappointed.

    New Pair EVERY year.

    • Written by alyssa M

They're great but something always goes wrong every pair I get. They're only *perfect* for about 10-12 months until something goes wrong. I've had several problems: first pair (red and black) had a weird bendy piece that goes into the phone so it eventually wore out and the wires were beginning to expose so music eventually didn't want to play through them. My next pair (white and gold) are pretty odd. They're the only pair that send shocks into my ear from time to time and the plug in was fine until music kept stopping...my solution was to pinch or angle the cord to continue to play music. My next pair (black and silver) lasted the shortest when I ended up losing sound from one earbud entirely. Today, i use the white and gold pair because they magically started working again ??? hopefully my other 2 will eventually too lol.

    Poor qaulily

    • Written by Mohamed S

Urbeats are the worst product lineup for this brand. Please do not waste your money on it. The internal connectors to the ear buds ware-off after a certain time (less than a year). I purchased it for the first time and I had to return it after few months. And got another, guess what it did the same. If you are a brand loyal customer please reconsider buying a different product of beats except the urbeats.

    Garbage

    • Written by Niccolo G from Seattle

They do not fit properly, sound quality is on par with free earphones from airlines and after a month my Iphone X says "accessory not supported by Iphone". I also experienced sudden interruptions during calls or music streaming.

    Great until they break

    • Written by Ethan Q

Always loved the urbeats and I’ve had more than 6 pairs over the years because I always manage to get them wet and I’ve been fine with it, but over the last 2 months I’ve had 2 pair of them because the headphone jacks have broke, I like to listen and change so that’s why I still have the 3.5 jack but I’m going to the lighting cable now, would love to get a discount of some kind because of the problem, haven’t had luck with any warranty in the past but we shall see. Can’t compare them to any other headphones when they work, noise canceling is amazing and the sound is next level.

My pair lasted me 8 months

    • Written by JLun H

My pair lasted me eight months, and they still work. It's just some product damage. But these earbuds lasted a lot longer than I thought. They are definitely more worth it now that the price dropped 40$.

    Meh.

    • Written by James L from Singapore

The sound is decent, although I do not recommend it for ‘audiophiles’. Unlike unboxing videos on YouTube, the earpieces I received do not contain wingtips, and the carrying case. Very disappointed.
