    Overrated/Overpriced/Overhyped Garbage

    I got these a while back and still go back to my cheaper < $70 Bluetooth headphones as my primary, day-to-day option. I really regret buying these as they constantly fall out with even the slightest movement.

    They’re only good to use while sitting at my desk at work, where I can be sure the won’t get lost when they inevitably fall out. The case is the perfect size to fall under your car seat, into your couch, and get lost a few times a month. Aesthetics are just about the only thing they have going for them.

    If style is what you’re looking for over quality and functionality, then these are definitely the way to go.

    Nice idea, but rushed to market

    Airpods keep disconnecting from my iphone 6. I've gone to help websites, spoken with Apple reps, and no one can fix it. Hold off on buying Airpods for a couple more years until Apple gets it working properly.

    Airpods

    I received a pair of Airpods as a gift about 3 months ago. At first they would not charge correctly or stay charged. I reached out to Apple, and we concluded that the charger is bad. Apple replaced the charger. everything worked well for about a month. Now, I am having charging issues again. Either one ear piece or the other is charged at 100% and the other is at like 5 to 10% charged. When I use them generally only one or the other ear piece works because of the charging issue. I would not recommend these to anyone. I finally got fed up and bought a pair of Bose sport fit wireles head phones. Much better.

    Great when they work. Unreliable.

    Design is flawed and charging is unreliable. When they work they are great but had to have left AirPod replaced once, case replaced once and right AirPod replaced twice. After third failure of right AirPod Apple wouldn’t replace claiming corrosion. Despite their advertising these apparently can’t be worn for exercise.

    Poor Connection

    Facing connection problem to my phone since i bought it . I swear most of the time you must connect it to your phone MANUALLY . Also , sometimes when im using WhatsApp call , the call always hung up itself due to the airpod disconnection , just always disconnecting by itself without any reason . The only advantage is Convenient

    Too expensive -Poor quality

    I agree -The AirPods 2 reliability &volume components perform numerous “disappearing acts”.
    I’m extremely disappointed with this product!! Although some consumers enjoy the Pods with minimal and/or no issues, others, such as myself aren’t as fortunate.

    So far, my (< 3 months) experiences with them have been frustrating.
    They malfunction constantly and my right Pod doesn’t stay in my ear.

    Both AirPods have been replaced (R 3x’s & L 1x). The sound quality is very short lived- My Pods go from Low volume to No Volume. I just finalized the exchange process yesterday (9.25) for my left Pod. A few hours later, I noticed my right ear (4th replacement, arrived < 2 wks ago) is already low. I only used them 1 or 2xs because my left Pod stopped working. I dread calling Apple again… This is ridiculous!!!

    I’ve spent more time exchanging and troubleshooting with Apple support reps THAN I do using the AirPods. Overall , this item was total waste of my money and I regret this purchase….. I REALLY do.
    I have no problem with cleaning them and I do understand technical issues occur. However, consistent (time consuming) occurrences at the Very High Price of $199+ is unacceptable. I appreciate Apple Care+ Hardware Repair Coverage. Nevertheless, “Innovative” products are meaningless when they’re UNRELIABLE and I’m sure other customers & consumers concur.

    Would Recommend Against Buying These

    If you're okay with your earbuds constantly disconnecting, lagging behind in one ear, and fizzing out and glitching the moment you enter a public space, then do not buy air pods. I've had mine for around 4 months, and I'm so mad at myself for buying them. They have some pluses, sure; they're convenient, the sound quality is pretty good, and they actually have some pretty impressive battery life IMO. But, for what you're paying, it's just not worth it. I would just buy a pair of Bose SoundSport Wireless and then maybe grab a pair of ear pods for when you're just sitting down and doing work. Don't buy airpods. You will regret it.

    Mines broke after around 2 months of using them, one speaker failed and battery is terrible, sound was alright but definitely not worth £160

    worse than previous version

    I don't know if ts me or not but battery life on this is terrible and when it gives low battery sound , it shots off right away. even the old version was going at least 10 min more after the low battery sound. Also in general the battery is significantly going less than previous one. The functionality is the same as the other one. so if you have the first gen, don't bother getting a new one. maybe wait until the new one comes out.

    This product makes apple no better than MS or Samsung, if not worse...

    I've been with apple for since they launched first iphone, having bought over 5 iphones, 3 ipads, 2 watches and airpods. it lasted so long as I completely stood by their quality and reliability. But I have to say over last 2-3 years, their quality has gone down significantly. I get crashes on iphones like no different than the other phones owned in my family. And Airpods are worse of them. speakers drop, sync issues, connectivity, random speaker dropping, and finally one of them stopped working for good. Googled it and see this is a pretty common problem. They lately only design products that will last 1-2 years only. A company which launches 2 models a year, can;t make a product to last 10 years, that will be against their sales philosophy.

    I would highly recommend to stay away from apple products, esp airpods. Its not worth the headache. I finally have reasons to move away from apple for good. I can see their bad days coming.

    I was lied to!

    For the past year and a half I have been told by several people that I should purchase AirPods. I was reluctant to purchase out of fear that they would fall out of my ears and get lost. EVERYONE assured me that the AirPods would be the perfect fit. I finally gave in and got some this past Friday and was assured again, by the salesman, that they would stay in my ear. I was excited to get them home and try them out. I was sitting on my bed when I gave them a try and one popped out of my ear within 5 minutes of it being there. It didn't take long for the other one to follow suit. Now I'm like wow! I don't feel like I will be able to fully enjoy them out of fear that they will get lost from falling out of my ear. I wish that Apple would make smaller sizes or have a way of accommodating people with smaller ears. It would appear that I wasted my money on a product that I can only use if I don't move a muscle.

    Not worth what they cost

    Pretty convenient for all activities/needs HOWEVER mine have a sensing issue, and have pairing issues. I love them when they work — but for what they cost I’m rather disappointed for how little they work at 100% level they should.

    Airpods

    I usually never leave reviews but apple AirPods are so low quality for how expensive they are. The sound is decent but one side always randomly stops working and you have to put them back in the case and restart them all the time. I don’t want to always have to carry around my charging case because they cant work properly without having to be reset.

    Not Worth The Money

    The sound is very low, I have to always put the device on max and still struggle to hear through the airpods sometime.

    I thought my ears were average. However, the airpods are too big. They always fall out while I am doing normal activities, like walking or sitting.

    I like how they pair easily, However, they are slow to pick up sometimes when I want to use them. I also liked how they can be found with Find My Iphone, only if they are near. If not they are lost forever.

    Apple will charge you $69 a bud to replace them.

    I am through with the experiment. They didn't work out for me.

    Meh

    Obscenely expensive, sound quality is basic at best, the real benefits are the Siri controls and easy connectivity which funny enough fails here and there. About twice a month I have to go grab my charging case and reset the pairing otherwise they won’t connect to my iPhone X. Pretty terrible.

    Maybe next gen will be decent

    don't even waste your time or money

    i love apple but these are a huuuge disappointment. they NEVER stay in your ear no matter what you do, i even order silicone covers for them to see if they would stay i my ear and nope they keep sliding out. i only had them for a week and i'm already returning them because they are just not worth it. the sound quality isn't that great and actually they're not even that loud even when i turn the music up all the way. and not to mention that the case and pods get dirty so quickly it's kind of gross lol. yeah don't waste your money yall

    Disappointing

    Come on, you’ve had years to update these headphones. First of all, they don’t fit well in my ears. It feels like they’re going to pop out. Secondly, and related to the first problem, they leak soumd. I want to be quiet and considerate among my noisy rude commuters who blare their music on the train, thank you. Lastly, the sound quality is meh. Do better.

    A major step backwards!

    If you are thinking of updating to the new AirPods from the porevious version, DO NOT DO IT!

    I upgraded because they were supposed to be a more seamless connection, leading to increased productivity. It’s been the precise opposite. They’re not ready for prime time. It’s as though they forgot to do the QA process before releasing.

    I consistently have problems where only one earbud connects and I have to put them back in the case, sometimes even having to unpair them. The time I spend connecting has increased 10x from the gen 1 product.

    I should note that I even had to return a pair and get them exchanged for new ones. The problem is happening again on the new pair. Shame on you Apple for taking money on a product that’s not ready for release.

    Great sound at the sacrifice of talk-time, fit, and customer support.

    I purchased these AirPods with great anticipation. Regrettably, they fell short of Apple’s specifications and my expectations. While the sound reproduction is nearly as impressive as top-end quality headphones, the talk time is dismal. I have never achieved the two-hour talk as advertised in the Apple specifications. On a full charge, the battery conks out below 90 minutes to just over 95 minutes. I should have returned the AirPods within the first 30 days for a full refund but I gave the device and Apple the benefit of the doubt, relying instead on Apple’s one-year warranty.

    After attempting some unsuccessful troubleshooting tecniques through Apple Care, Apple suggested returning the AirPods under warranty for a replacement. To my amazement, Apple would only ship me a new charger or a new set of AirPods, but not both. I would have to go through the return process twice in order to be supplied with a fully new product if the replacement charger didn’t solve the issue.

    The fit of the AirPods is also less than adequate and they’re likely to tumble out of the ear quite effortlessly. This annoyance is easily remedied however, with the purchase of inexpensive AirPods ear hooks. I sampled three different brands before deciding on the AhaStyle model with the sound quality enhancement. They keep the AirPods secured under most conditions and are very confortable to wear.

    Connection difficulties have also been an issue, especially with an Android device or a Bluetooth equipped television.

    Hindsight being what it is, I probably should have waited for the second generation AirPods to appear with their increased talk-time. Thankfully, I made my AirPods purchase with my American Express credit card which provides me with an extended warranty and buyer’s assurance benefits. I’m almost afraid to ask Apple what my options are if the new charger and AirPods exchange won’t solve the unacceptable talk-time issue.
