    Back up before you update

    Creating a backup is simple, important, and we recommend it for everyone. Learn how to back up your device.

    Download iOS 9

    To get iOS 9, tap Settings on your device. Then tap General and choose Software Update. You should see iOS 9 listed there. For more information, see how to update your device.

Passcode - When you set up Touch ID you also set a passcode. While you might rarely use your passcode, you’ll need it when you update to iOS 9. See what to do if you forgot your passcode.
