      Not your typical USB-C cable

Transfers data slowly and doesn't support video.

This cable would need to support USB-C 3.1 gen 2 to support maximum USB data transfer speeds, but it doesn't — which is a huge disappointment. (As an aside, it's frustrating that Apple doesn't include this cable with the standalone charger for USB-C MacBook Pros — either that or lower the cost of the charge to reflect the cost of the missing, but essential, cable).

Apple is losing its way.
