      Stopped working after 2 months

I just bought this adapter 2 months ago and the HDMI port has already stopped working. For $70, this should have lasted much longer.

      Poor Quality - Stopped Working

I bought 2 for presentations. 1 as a backup. 1 of 2 have stopped working after no more than 15 hrs of use. Going to try an Anker at half the price.

      What the... poor quality equipment.

Basically the USB-C port didn't work. Wouldn't mount a USB-C drive or power the laptop through it. Connecting to power it kept beeping and turning on and off. Basically the USB-C port didn't work. Wouldn't mount a USB-C drive or power the laptop through it. Connecting to power it kept beeping and turning on and off. That sort of thing could also destroy a USB-C drive (if it could ever mount it). Very poor quality for an overpriced piece of peripheral equipment. I thought Apple would be robust, but no. Back to Satechi then. A friend also reported the HDMI dropped out all the time when doing presentations using one of these and her Comsol adaptor came to the rescue.

We purchased some RAVPower 61 watt chargers and attempted to connect and charge a 12-inch macbook with both this dongle and a third party dongle. Generally, both dongles consumed 2-5 watts, without peripherals. With the RAVPower charger and third party dongle would typically report somewhere near 55 watts total. But the reported wattage with this dongle was only 2 watts total unless we connected an Apple charger specifically. This is typically not enough to overcome the discharge rate of a working laptop, and only slowed the drain.

Using it almost one year, still works fine, but..

I had no problems with this device, except connecting Samsung T5 SSD Everything except Samsung T5 SSD connected in full speed of USB 3.0. But Samsung T5 SSD i I had no problems with this device, except connecting Samsung T5 SSD Everything except Samsung T5 SSD connected in full speed of USB 3.0. But Samsung T5 SSD in some reason works only in USB 2.0 with this adapter. Connecting it via USB-C->USB-A adapter gives real full speed, but not USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter So it is not working with every USB devices in USB 3.0 mode.

Works great, not sure what all the whining is about.

I have 4 of these, they all work perfectly. FYI dont daisy chain your pwr thru the adapter, they aren't designed for that.
