I have been using my pencil for a couple of hours, every day for about 9 months. I'd say I am pretty gentle with my pressure.
I am finding that my strokes are getting a bit intermittent now and so I think it's time for me to replace my nib. I don't think it's done too bad!

  • I'm not sure as I've only had my iPad about a week, but it doesn't seem to me there would be any reason it would wear out, perhaps if you drop and damage the tip you'd need to replace it, but there isn't any friction to speak of between the glass and the tip, also maybe if you are using a screen protector the tip will wear down against that material, those are just guesses though.
