Any problems with using my MacBook while traveling in Canada? Also will be traveling with an iPad. What do I need to do to be able to use it?

No problems re electricity. Power in Canada is identical in all ways to USA, including the type of plug.
Connectivity is another issue. Most Starbucks and McDonald's here have free Wi-Fi. As long as you look around and find a Wi-Fi spot, your connectivity will be fine.
The cellular networks (i.e., 3G, 4G) are run by Canadian companies. There are three major networks (Telus, Bell, Rogers) and then other cell providers who use those networks. There can be issues connecting and it can also get very expensive.
If you're expecting your iPad to work with a cellular network, then you should check with your provider first before you leave to see if you can make sure everything will work.
