Is there a way to upgrade multiple Macs to Snow Leopard without having to use boxed copies? Currently looking to upgrade around 40 Macs in a school.

Actually looking to upgrade these Macs to Mountain Lion via a volume license, but the Macs are all on versions prior to Snow Leopard. Want to avoid buying 40 individual boxed copies and installing Snow Leopard on each one!

As per apple's TOS you can have five systems associated with your apple ID which would give you access to lion and mountain lion on five systems, but since you do not have snow leopard yet you will have to contact apple to see if they still offer volume licensing. I am pretty sure they do, but it is not publicly offered any longer as snow leopard is four years old almost. Contact Apple @ 1-800-MY-APPLE to see if this is still offered. I'd be curious to see if this is still public ally offered! Good luck!
