Worse sound than earbuds. Much worse.

I love my iMac. I have enjoyed immensely my iPhones, from the very first one to my current 6s. But with the change to lightning connectors and airbuds the handwriting is on the wall for the 3.5mm connector.

But look! Apple has earphones, not just earbuds for the 3.5.

If you want to pay over twice as much as earbuds then to be rewarded with worse sound for phone calls (it is an iPhone after all) than late 60's office intercoms (they were a thing, a horrible sounding thing). This is the product that will make it happen. As to music, don't even try. No bass. None. Listen to all of your music, or something, was the promise. But not with apple's earphones. Because they are dramatically worse than earbuds.

Unusable. Unbelievably so. For a company that is so committed to music and music appreciation to produce an audio product this bad is mind boggling.

    Rubbish

This was without my worst purchase, ever. At the price, and with the Apple trademark, you may expect the best headphones ever...oh no. Within weeks one of the headphones had reduced output...this can be changed, but more importantly, the design is at fault as the weight of the product isn't carried by the in ear design meaning that the headphones keep falling out he ear...no matter which fitting is used. What a waste of money.

    Horrible

The day that I can finally put apple headphones and not have the outside world drown out my music is when you can say they're "revolutionary". I hear the persons conversation more then my own music. Definitely has no bass to it. From exprience $10 headphones sound better. Save your $30 and buy something better.

    Elegant and perfect

Perfect sound details; rich and warm bass; equally great for spoken voice and music; total isolation from sorround sounds; and NO DISTORTION. Grids require regular cleaning - just as your ears do :)

Surprising result when machine washing earphones with your pants!

Yes - it's a pity, and I did it. Silly me.

So I've ordered a replacement set because, over 18 months usage, I had found them extremely comfortable and stable; even when out running they don't get dislodged. The music and voice rendition is extremely good and a lot better (and more comfortable) than the standard ear capsules that come with the iPhone, etc. My only real criticism is that if you eat potato chips while listening, it ruins the music.

For interest, after a machine wash cycle (the phones were in the pocket of my pants) I found the connecting jack was a bit iffy and the composite switch didn't work most of the time. Not such a surprise. But I really need that remote.

The big surprise, though, was the earphones themselves continue to produce great sound across the range, so all is not lost

I shall chalk this one up to experience.

    Good

The sound quality is great and they are comfortable to wear. Too bad that the cable close to the jack head rips off just like the charging cable. This model headphones are too old and too be expensive. Apple should've at least drop the price by now. Good quality but not durable.

Cheap Quality for a High Price

The sound quality is worse than the standard earphones that come with your iphone. Really disappointed about having to spend $129 for earphones that are only worth about $60.

    Apple headphones

These are the worst headphones apple has made by far. I am going on my third pair of headphones for my iPhone 7 because they continue to break and it always is the connection into the port. Quit being cheap apple!

Please update these for iPhone 7+

I love these buds. I have a few pair actually.
But now I have to use the lightning converter in order to use with my iPhone7 Plus.

I am on the search for similar buds with the lightning connector. I hope you guys decide to update these.

    Thanks
    - Patrick

    So much for $100

You can easily detach to the world because noise suppression is good. But the materials was so cheap it gets brownish. It makes no difference than apple's regular earpods. It won't last a year because some of the materials gets detach like the rubbers below the speakers. Annoying.

    Wonderful sound in one earbud

I was so happy with my purchase, and when I plugged them into ipad for a movie on the airplane, they felt and sounded great,....but only on one side. If I wiggled the cord around, sometimes I'd get both sides for about 10 min. Then, the left side would get static and go dead. I returned them to the selling store.

    Good!

These headphones are *far* better than the similar ones made by Beats. The sound is good and the earbuds are very comfortable. The only issue is that I have occasionally lost the rubber part that goes in your ear and Apple doesn't sell replacements.

Great earphones, silicone earbuds are the problem

Earphones are great for the price range, but the silicone earbuds are the issue. They become loose over time and slip off quite easily. When I lost mine went into apple store to buy a new pair of earbuds only to be sent away by the concierge, who advised I would need to source my own replacement earbuds from either amazon or eBay. Purely based on this I would not recommend these. Shame because these are the only earbuds that have lasted more than 6 months without the wires splitting near the earphone jack.

    Love them but...

These are my favorite headphones, but I want to get the iPhone 7, and these are not compatible. Please make a version that is either wireless or has a lightning port! Please!!!

    Totally not Worth it

Bought these ear phones online, was shocked after looking at these earphones as it's no where comparable for the price i paid, these were as similar as $5 earphones that i can buy in gas stations. Never excepted such a poor quality from APPLE. Finally I would say not worth your money.

    Horrible

The worst headphones ever. Either this pair is broken or they are pure garbage. I am extremely disappointed. The sound quality is horrible. They are flat and the bass sound is a sad joke. What is even more infuriating then the sound quality is the price. I will try to return these tomorrow. I cannot believe these are even manufactured.

    Comfortable with different tips

The EarPods that come with the iPhone are extremely uncomfortable to me. I chose the purchase these in-ear style for the promised sound and comfort. The gel tips that come wth the headphones are poor. Twice I've had them dislodge from the stem and remain stuck in my ear canal. On both instances a colleague had to remove the gel tips with tweezers. I've kept the in-ear headphones and now use tips from Comply Foam. Best sound isolation for the price. I hear my phone calls and music clearly, even in noisy environments.

    Great product

Everyone who has written a review saying "its trash" or "they don't fit" either doesn't know how to change the silicone buds or hasn't used them. SMH
