    Amazing

    • Written by Konsta J from Helsinki

Some say that you pay for the brand with Beats, but these Pro ones are amazing and worth every penny. The bass is not too overpowering, just the way I want it: I want the high sounds to come through clear. Everything sounds amazing. Also, the build quality is awesome, there's almost no way to break these even if you travel a lot...they fold into a small space nicely. Noise cancellation isn't the same as in the Studio ones, but it's enough and even in an airplane you can hear just fine, you just have to crank the volume up.

The perfect headphones! Hear music in a new way.

    • Written by Aidan L from Adelaide

After a day of owning a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre Pro, I'm extremely impressed and satisfied with my new headphones. The clarity of vocals and instruments is mind-blowing. I heard my favourite songs in ways I've never heard before, there are several instruments and parts of songs that I never knew existed. These headphones produce deep, punch bass and crisp vocals without any overpowering harsh tones or muddiness.

I highly recommend grabbing a pair of these. The best headphones I've ever used.

    Outstanding Sound, Quality, Value

    • Written by Robert F from North Las Vegas

Well, I guess I should start by saying I am not the type of person most people think of when they think of Beats. I'm a retired military guy almost 70 years old. Though dozens of the guys at the military gym I use do have them, I've been fairly content with my Bose SoundTrues and Klipsch Studios. After spending $300 on Bose QC25s, and have them work on and off and finally die at the one year mark, I was ready for something more durable, thicker wires, and reliable. I waited until they went on sale in my military exchange and got the Black/Silver ones for $230. They came through perfectly. I held my breath as I set them up, not knowing if they were going to be too heavy, too much bass, or what. I'm not a big bass guy. I like some of it with classical music and some jazz, but a lot of my music is pop, J-Pop, C-Pop, opera, and soundtracks. My time in the military exposed me to a lot of different cultural music. Well, I am happy to say that these headphones, set with Flat, Treble Booster, or even Bass Booster EQs from my iTunes Library, made every sample I selected sound wonderful. As I said, I'm not a big bass fan but I like sweeping orchestrations in classical and pop...and these headphones did them beautifully...almost like I was surrounded by the orchestra! I never got that from my Bose or Klipsch. I guess the fact that these are 50mm drivers (and not 40) makes a difference. The real test for me, though, is the high vocals (I listen to a lot of Italian tenors, as well as a lot of Japanese/Chinese/Latina female pop artists). The mids were equally there, most notably in concert and jazz selections. The trebles, however, were very crisp and breathing and word pronunciation came through very clearly. I am by no means an audiophile, but I love how these headphones sound, the musical presence they provide, and their ability not to distort or drown out the mids or trebles. In some pop songs with orchestration, these headphones bring out the low string sounds very well, something missing from my Bose. I'm not into a lot of other genres----country, R&B, hip-hop, but these Beats perform admirably for my mostly pop, rock, classical, and jazz collections of songs. They are outstanding build quality, but do weigh about 8 ounces more than my Bose, but that is not an issue for me as I have a large head to keep them from moving around. Another bonus---no batteries, yet they isolate sound almost as well as my Bose noise-cancelling headphones did, but they are not active noise-cancelling of course. A major bonus---my iPod Nano and new iPod Touch (Gen 6) play very efficiently at 40-50% of volume with these. The Beats Pros have very low ohms and high sensitivity, which means they don't require a lot of your device's battery power, which is good for iPod/iPhone users. Some other brands require an amp as the ohms are so high, but these seem very well suited to small mobile devices. I have no need for an amp unless I wanted to be drowned completely in bass. My Bose QC25s, which broke, required 70% volume compared to these 40-50% for the same listening volume, and the noise-cancelling technology in the Bose hurt my eardrums sometimes. All in all, I'm very pleased with these outstanding headphones, and at my age I'm pretty hard to please. I have 90 days to return these to the military exchange for a refund, but I've decided they're $230 well spent. In the back of my mind I think I read where Apple or Beats changed the sound signature on these from the original heavy bass sound. Now, these are very pleasing to a guy who, as I said, is not a huge heavy bass fan. If you are, you'll still like these as with Bass Booster or Treble Reducer, you can make them bass strong. These are tremendous quality and value compared to my flimsy Bose that broke so quickly. I am glad Beats made a headphone that provides excellent listening for my type of music. These are going to be my favorite headphones very soon.

I don't think I could have been happier with the purchase of these headphones. I've used plenty of headphones as my dj career has taken off. Even in a crowded environment with speakers on full blast, you somehow manage to slip away into your own world. The only thing you will feel is the bass on your chest from the clubs subwoofers. These beats are built to last it all. As a Dj I needed something sturdy, high quality, and had noise cancellation. When it comes to mixing you don't seem to be overwhelmed with treble or bass. It's the perfect blend leaving you in shock and awe.

    Top shelf quality

    • Written by Michael Y from Auckland

I bought the Detox edition of the Pros when they were first launched many years ago. The Detox is the same specs as the Pros so no difference in sound. The build quality is strong and sturdy. The sound quality is brilliant. The bass is rich and deep. At times the bass is so powerful I need to adjust my equalizer if the song is too bass heavy. Every one of my friends who have tried out these headphones have been very impressed and didn't want to give them back. If you're in the market for a set of stylish, strong, solid and premium quality sound then the Pros are the ones you should get. The only negative they have is after a while they do tend to feel a bit heavy on your head like a vice clamp. That's only because they're built strong and tough and durable for hardcore use. I love them.

    • Written by Abhijeet B from Newport

I have now bought two of the pros. The first one was about 3 years ago and now I have got the black this year. Between these two, I have tried other, similar (price wise) headphones from well known brands. But in my experience, most of the headphones don't come even close to the performance of the Bears Pro.
Yes, they are towards the more expensive ends of the spectrum. But then again, you don't spend that amount of money on a pair of headphones if you are not serious about your music. The one thing that made this my love-at-first-beat pair was the bass. It is not overpowering and it is not meek either. It sort of hits the sweet spot every single time! The only con is that you can not wear this on, say, a 4 hour flight. Your ears will hurt. And the fact that the leather on the ear cups on my first pair sort of disintegrated into a white, thick powder like substance (must be the sweat breaking the leather grain) after 3-4 years of extensive use. That was the entire reason I went for the black one this year. No other faults. The headphones are exquisite and an absolute beauty to listen to equally with spotify or with my vinyl.

I just got mine in the mail and I'm in love *_* ! The sound is really amazing. I've been a Beats buyer since they've been released, and I figured it was time to upgrade my ear buds and solo's to the pro's and I'm really happy with my decision. The only thing I would change is the carrying case. You guys really cheaped out there. I'd for sure make a hard case since they're so rugged!

    Best headphones I've ever owned.

Every headphone has its own flaw. If you want to pick the flaw for the latest Beat's Pro's, you'd have to make something up. Skip the worry of cheap headphones, and go with the best. My purchase of these headphones has been one of my most satisfying experiences in awhile.

I love this beats product and I gotta say its my favorite. I had the Beats Solo2 for a long time and they broke because of the wiring problem then I took a break from beats when I saw my cousins have the beats pros so I tried them on and I loved them and they have great bass and sound for Hip-Hop and Dub-step. I asked my family for birthday cash and I went to Best Buy and they have the Lil Wayne Beats pros. Its all red and stuff its pretty cool I dig it. I got the Lil wayne beats pros from last year and I had no problem. Shout Out to Lil Wayne.

    Superb quality and endurement

    • Written by Koen V

Bought my Beats Pro in 2012. Until then I owned a lot of different headphones, but they all broke within the year or two years max, this made me chose to buy some decent quality. The aluminum body makes it heavy but also very sturdy. I still use the headphone frequently to this day and still there are no defects or visual displeasing. The sound quality is amazing, every time I use my earpods and come back to this headphone it's mind-blowing. The ability to connect other headphones to it is a nice feature. If I have to mention one minor thing, the cover which is supplied with the headphone is a bag in which the headphone doesn't even fit, that's kind of a bummer. But who needs a cover when your headphone is resistant to almost everything. Still pleased with my purchase!

    Amazing Quality!

    • Written by Harold T

My old beats pro broke or should I say have been used way to much haha. I had the originals with Monster on it. They finally gave out after 5 years of using them every single day. Very durable. Some people prefer the comfort while I prefer it lasting through anything. The bass is tight and clean. The highs are crisp. Honestly since I listen to House music and Latin music these are perfect for everyday use, working out, ECT. It seems like every brand is going wireless which I notice is nowhere near as loud. I could care less about the noise cancelling that is overkill for headphones. You buy headphones for loud quality sound. Anyways you pay for what you get with these headphones. Looking forward to having them another 5 years like my Orginal.

    Best head phones ever

    • Written by Ryan N

So , why I recommend these headphones for the price. I’ve had almost every beats headphone product and they have all broke after a year. Mainly because I am very rough on headphones. Through the gym and getting kicked around in my travel bag for work. So the pros I have had for about 3 years now. And they still sound amazing. The frame on these headphones feels and is very durable. Only draw backs is they are slightly heavy if you want to run in these. But comfy for hours of just sitting around getting some of the best audio feedback I’ve heard from many brands .wish I could say this is a paid promotion but if your on the verge of buying these I’d say do it. worth it. They aren’t wireless but that doesn’t bother me much.
