Comfortable, nice looking but deteriorated quickly.

I have large wrists and struggle to get watch straps to fit so I chose this strap due to it’s looks, comfort and adjustability. It started out well but soon began to deteriorate. I found it very comfortable to wear and the magnet, although strong enough to hold the strap in place, allowed a little movement when I flexed my wrist. This does result in having to tighten the strap periodically but I prefer that to a fixed strap.

The sole problem I have with this strap (and it’s a big problem) is durability. I am semi-retired; I live a fairly sedate, relaxed lifestyle and my work is predominantly office based. Nevertheless, after a matter of months, several of the outermost links on either side of the strap began to fray which then, after catching on clothing, only served to exacerbate the problem. These protrusions have become very annoying; they regularly snag onto my trouser pocket and on one occasion one such protrusion managed to tear my shirt slightly leaving a small scratch on my skin.

When I first purchased this strap I was very pleased with it but having used it for some time now I would not recommend it at all. For the price I expected much higher quality. Maybe I was unlucky and received a substandard example but I have read of others sharing similar experiences. Subsequently I could not give this strap more than a single star.

    Double Manufacturing Defect

I bought the watch with this band because it looked and felt great to wear. However, on two separate bands the metal plate that covers the magnet has fallen off. .

    Love it!

I purchased this band to go with my gold Apple Watch and it look beautiful!! It's very comfortable to wear, light and airy. It dresses up the watch very nicely compared to the original silicon band that came with the watch. I hestitated for a while before purchasing this band because of the price and I wasn't sure how the white metal would look against my gold watch. I tried it with my watch face in store and fell in love with it.

    Most comfortable of all bands.

I live in a hot, humid climate and own the Hermès edition watch with Fauve leather band. In the summertime, I don’t like to wear leather bands because the sweat from my arm can destroy leather. I also find that the sport bands become uncomfortable from the heat. The Milanese Loop is the perfect solution for summer. It stays cool and dries easily. Infinity adjustable. Very very comfortable. Highly recommended in hot weather if you need to switch to from a leather band.

    Superior to the Knock Off

I purchased a knock off of this type of band. I didn't fit the watch well and it snagged some of my sweaters. I broke down and bought this band and it is superior. I can take it on and off smoothly and it doesn't snag my clothes. Worth it.

    Too bad

This band is a good looking but it does wear. If I had read the previous reviews, I may not have purchased this band.

Still great after two years of everyday wear

I haven't had any problems with this band. I got it because the silicone sports band that came with my watch pulled my hair. I tried on several ones, and because of cost and fit, decided to go with this one. I wear it every day and have had no problem with the metal fraying, hair pulling, magnet slipping, stinky smells, that seem to be indicated in the other posts. I've owned it for two Christmases now. Guess I'm lucky. It has been a great band and so much so, in fact, I'm thinking of getting the black one, just to change it up.

    My favorite

I own several Apple Watch bands, but the Milanese Loop is my favorite because

a.) it is slightly reminiscent of great, vintage Omega Seamaster link bands,
b.) unlike the cloth and rubber bands, with this band on I can put my watch on in the dark and/or without looking at it,
c.) it can survive encounters with moisture of whatever kind, and
d.) above all (for me) it was a gift from my love. :-)

    Snagged and ruined my clothes!

Beware, this band has snagged and RUINED many of my clothes! It starts to get a loose wire/loop near the connection to the watch head and band. I thought it was a fluke with the silver band so I bought the black band and it happened AGAIN. I took them both to the Apple store and they told me I was not the first to have that occur. They didn't do anything to help or credit me; they just said it was a known problem. It is extremely disappointing and I have essentially given up wearing my watch. I wanted a professional look to my watch without having to purchase a $500 band. I have essentially paid that amount on two bands and now I have nothing. I love my Apple products but I am very disappointed with this particular product--not sure what I will do with the watch now. Beware...

    Love it! Would buy again

I bought my watch about eight months ago. I work with my hands so I wanted something to be able to handle heavy duty work but also still look nice when I have a meeting with a client. I haven't had any of the issues with the magnet becoming loose.

My only complaint is that the band sometimes doesn't dry out after washing my hands and/or a sweaty run, making it become a little stinky. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. I just take an old toothbrush, baking soda, and warm water and wash it off. Hopefully that doesn't ruin it. Other than that I highly recommend.

    Thoughts on Band

I got this watch as a birthday gift with the Milanese Loop band in silver. I like the band and the way it looks. My complaint is that the magnet doesn't really hold. I am constantly adjusting the band and pulling it tighter because it doesn't hold, and that's very frustrating. The face of the watch is too heavy for the magnet. I think I would have preferred the leather band with the buckle.

    Loosens itself

I happen to have large hands, not fat, just large, and I can barely fit my hand through the band when fully open, its a tight squeeze. In my case, the band tends to loosen itself during the day which requires readjustment. The Milanese Band is well crafted and aesthetically pleasing, and despite my particular issues, the cost of the band in my opinion is a good value.

I got my apple watch with milanese loop band as a christmas gift last year, and i have loved it ever since.
My ONLY complaint is that the Milanese Loop band pulls your hair!! As a woman, we hate when our hair is pulled and this band does a great job at puling multiple strands at once without you noticing.
I love the look of it but only wear it if my hair is up, i do not recommend you wearing it with loose hair because the moment you so much touch your hair and put your arm down you will have about 3-4 strand of hair stuck to the band.

Apple please find a way to fix it, i love the look of the band but i really think i am going ti get a bald path on my left side of my head from all the hair i have managed to pull with this band.

    Very nice with some caveats

I really like my Milanese Loop band and recommend it. I did originally purchase a knock-off version of this band and while it was nice, I decided that I didn't want to take a chance on it breaking or failing. The genuine Apple Milanese Loop however is more expensive looking and dressier than the knock-off, but sadly the magnetic clasp on the Apple Milanese loop got very scratched up after just a single day of use (wearing only at the office). Whereas the clasp on the cheap knock-off (10x cheaper than the genuine article) actually held up better without a single scratch after several days of use (and the magnet is stronger!)

I will say, I still prefer the genuine article overall, but I hope Apple reads this (even if they don't allow my review to be seen) and address the clasp issue.

Favorite Band, Awesome in Every Way

I purchased the Milanese band with my Apple Watch. It is still my favourite. It is infinitely adjustable - the easiest band to put on and take off and it always looks awesome. When I travel, I always wear this band, as it is so easy to remove from my wrist for security checks. In the dark, putting your watch on is a no brainer with the Loop. Always super comfortable, never cuts in to my wrist or feels loose (it's infinitely adjustable after all). After a year and a half it still looks new, no wear or problems with snugness. When I'm going formal, this is the band I choose. Simply awesome.

    It's wears

I had my Watch for about a year now. I purchased it with the Milanese loop band. I love the way it looks however the magentic wears and now it gets lose and I have to keep adjusting it.

When the apple store a couple of months ago and asked about this. They didn't have a solution for it. I even washed it with jewlery cleaner to see if that would help but it didn't. I will say I wear it everyday for work. I do love the look and it always look good.

I won't mind purchasing another band. Just look away one star because I think the band should last longer.

    Sparkles in the sun

I got this watch band because I wasn't sure what my wrist size was and this one is completely adjustable. I love how it glistens like tiny diamonds in the sun. It's also very comfortable, which is important because I usually don't like wearing anything on my wrist. A friend who got her watch with a different band added this one to her collection because she tried mine on and liked the way it felt.

Very classy with stainless steel Apple Watch

I got this Apple Watch band with the actual Apple Watch with it. I wanted to have this because it was more classy than the black version. It would be 5 stars if you like to wear it loose, it jiggles, but also if you wear it kinda' tight, it cuts into your skin, not literally cut but it leaves marks. But overall, very great watch, very classy, especially if your a kid who may have about $600 to plunk down, wear it to a formal.

    Slinky - Dressy - Classy

This band is beautiful. It's soft and slinky and adds a dressy look to my sport watch.
Sadly it just didn't fit me very well and I returned it. Too bad though, it's very classy.
