    Shut off

Man the power beats are amazing when they work.... now I can't go 20mins without them shutting off during my work out... I used to have the Powerbeats 2 and they were great when I'm sweating or working out a lot but these PB3 STink.

Ghost in the Powerbeat 3 wireless

I have had my Powerbeat 3 headphones for a month and the volume turns down randomly and pauses the music on their own. The volume and track control buttons completely stop working after I start to sweat and the only way I can turn them off is to disconnect from my iPhone. I must hold my phone in hand and constantly fight the headphones to keep the volume up and the music playing. I can only use the phone controls to do this since the buttons on headphone don't work. I am SO UPSET about this because of the money I spent on them. I have reset them and it does not fix the issue. They have a terrific sound when the work. Dre needs to get these horrible headphones fixed. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    DO NOT buy these earphones.

I am on my second pair of ear phones and they cut out after 30 minutes. I do all the troubleshooting steps and it still dies. I really want a refund. I'd spend my money on another brand.

1 week in -- stopped working

I bought these for the gym. After 5 uses, the headphones turned down the volume on their own and will not turn back up. They connect, but I can't hear a thing.

Simply an awful product not fit for purpose.

I did read some reviews prior to buying and ignored them. Don't make the same mistake!!!

    Power button not working

I got them since they came on the market (Nov 2016) from a local Apple Store. I was very happy with the sound and the design of the earphones. I liked everything so far until the power button stopped working a few days ago.

    Not worth the money

I got sick of replacing my Jaybird headphones (on warranty) because they kept shorting out due to sweat. I picked the Powerbeats3 as the best alternative. Mistake. I've had them for a whole week, and in 7 consecutive days of running they have failed me 4 times. They mysteriously die and won't turn back on. Sometimes a 10-minute wait works, other times nothing. I am pretty disappointed, as I had high hopes. I love that they stay in my ear, even when I'm soaking in sweat. But it doesn't do much good if they don't work.

    Horribly disappointed

There are serious issues with this product. First pair died within the first week. Then suddenly the headset would not turn on nor indicate it was charging when plugged in. Returned and received a replacement. This set has lasted about 2 weeks. Battery life of approximately 1 hour. Headset turns off when battery percentage gets to about 85%. Hard to believe this is an Apple product. A real shame because the product works great when it works.

    Powerbeats 3

So far all I can really say is that I wish I'd read the reviews on here before I made my purchase.
The good. Sound quality, battery life and fit are all pretty good.
The bad. They failed after a week of steady use. I get the 3 white lights flashing. I did manage to do a full reset and recharge and managed to get them going again. But after a few more times using they failed again.
It's really poor for a high end set of earbuds.

All 3 pair stopped working within first 10 days

I'm on my 4th pair, which is a shame because I had the Powerbeats2 and loved them. My one pair of PB2 last almost a year, until I lost them. Nevertheless, the 3rd versions buttons have all stopped working on me and one pair just stopped powering on (yes they were charged).

    The worse headphones ever!!

Purchased headphones X-mas of last year, and they lasted about 6 months!! If you are big in the gym and sweat a lot, they will stop working or start doing crazy things on you!!!! Like, volume rising and decreasing on its on, stopping all together, unable to power off...you name it!! These are junk and a waste of money.

    Good when working but...

After 2 months they started disconnecting or turning off every 10 minutes. Wtf is this? Ridiculous for this price. :(

    JUNK

Not ready for prime time. I wish I had read these reviews before I got these. My reliable 2's broke the day before a big race (they do take a beating, no complaint there). I ran out and got the 3's. Nothing but trouble. They sound OKAY (nothing to shake a stick at over their predecessors), but I have had to do the two button reset three times in two days. They can generally, in my limited experience, only be turned off by recycling. Being able to be controlled by the phone only is regrettable, when running. This is unsatisfactory. Don't buy these, there are better headphones out there for the price.

    Won't charge

My first set of powerbeats 3 stopped charging after 2 months. The new pair that I got as a replacement has only lasted 3 weeks. This product is clearly very badly made. For the huge amount that they cost I assumed that they would be a quality product, but they are awful!

    Do not buy.

Do not buy this product. There is clearly a defect with this product because everyone is reporting the exact same issue. I'm on my third exchange for charging issues caused by a little sweat. This product is not sweat resistant like advertised even a little sweat could cause it to have issues. This product doesn't last for more than 45 days.

    Buttons stopped working, battery inconsistent

The power button stopped working out of nowhere, and then the volume and play buttons followed. Have to use phone to manage the headphone capabilities. Battery power and charging is inconsistent.

    Multiple repairs

I really like the headphones when they work, but I have had to return twice so far. Reliability is bad.

    No Sweat!

The Powerbeats3 sound great, but they are not compatible with strenuous exercise. I begin visibly sweating 30 - 40 minutes into my cardio exercise on either an Elliptical or Stationary Bike at which point my Powerbeats take on a mind of their own, lower and raising the volume, pause iTunes, and completely shutting off. Outside the gym they work fine, but I bought them specifically for use in the gym!
