    Best earphones I've owned.

I tried to pairs of Jaybirds before I bought this pair. The second pair of Jaybirds lasted a month before the right speaker stopped working. These have better sound. They have better battery life and are more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Would I buy again most definitely.

    Great sports earbuds!

I had a pair of these for about a month before I returned them. I had absolutely no complaints about these! The only reason I returned them is because I wanted to wait for the BeatsX. The battery life and sound on these was amazing and reading some other reviews saying these things aren't loud enough or they sound like a tin can are really not true! The sound on these things was amazing coming from earbuds that small, they had amazing bass and I was able to get around 3-4 days of use out of one charge. I really had no issues whatsoever with these but I just decided to wait for the BeatsX. If you are looking for earbuds for the gym (or even regular earbuds) these are great. I feel like all the reviews complaining that these are bad, are probably just people who don't like them just because they are "Apple."

    Poor product, do not buy!!

I got these in December 2016, few weeks before Christmas and mostly use them when I am at the gym. Out of the box they claim to be sweat proof and have all the features that of the Powerbeats2 but man am I disappointed by them. In 2.5 months Apple has replaced them 5 times, yes you read that right. Out of no where they just die or stop charging. One of them had the mic and remote stop working, the forums are full of people complaining about the same issue. I am really surprised that Apple has produced something of such poor quality. I do not recommend them to anyone as even if you sweat lightly during workouts, these are bound to fail at some point in time.

    Total waste of money

I've been a loyal Beats customer for years. I'm an avid powerlifter. These lasted 30 days. I have been through 3 pairs in a year. Each time I was hopeful. I'm done with Beats. Period. The volume button cover fell off twice, wires and cover snapped off by the earpiece and now this pair just stopped working. And right before a workout! No! No! No!

    Sweatproof....you're joking right?!

The concept is great and initially I was very impressed with the functionality, i.e. connected to the iPhone 7 instantly, the Siri function worked well, the headphones were secure during a run, etc. However, I soon understood the true meaning of the 'W1' chip compatibility....Works 1 time. As others have stated, once you use the headphones for their true purpose, the control button malfunctions; the volume button stops working then randomly adjusts the volume down by itself. Come on guys, are you seriously claiming these earphones are sweat proof...this is a premium product and both Apple and Beats should hang their heads in shame as the product testing must have been seriously flawed. Amazon should cease selling this product until the 'Premium' gang get their act together.

1st set worked for just over a week

Great sound and very comfortable. The sound was almost as good as my Bose Soundsport wireless though I found the Powerbeats 3 to be more comfortable for running and I loved the extra battery time. Unfortunately after my third run with them they started to malfunction. I'm assuming the issue was the headphones were not actually sweat resistant. Initially the volume and pause buttons stopped working, Siri would kick in and they would pause by themselves. Finally they totally stopped working.
I have a replacement pair now, though don't yet use them for working out. It's been suggested that I tape over the volume switch to protect them from the elements (as that is almost certainly the weak point) though this would negatively impact the functionality. . Beats needs to admit the problem and implement a fix ASAP as I see the brand is taking a hit due to quality issues, which of course will also include Apple.
These would be my favorite headphones if I could use them for the gym and running. I can't see myself buying the beats brand again until I hear they've resolved their quality issues.

    Disappointing Sound

I expected full sound, not this tinny, bad speakerphone-sounding thing I got. On the plus side, it was easy to set up and use and it is well designed from the perspective of wearability. I think I would have liked them if the sound quality was better. I didn't own them long enough to experience any of the quality issues some reviewers are reporting.

I contacted Apple immediately for a return. I think it's the first time I've ever returned something to Apple.

Sound is much worse than old Powerbeats2

I decided to replace my old powerbeats 2 this xmas, and I was shocked when I started listening. The sound is now tinny, hollow, and has almost no bass. I have now tried 4 different pairs, all of the different sizing cuffs, with no improvement. Such a shame!

    WHOA!

If you want bass that is in your face (but still has plenty of treble), these are for you! I wear these kicking around the house, to the gym, and while working in the rain. I own a pair of BeatsX as well, but they aren't water/sweat resistant; the Powerbeats3 are! Each pair of my Beats serve their own purpose, and with both the Powerbeats3 and BeatsX, no stone is left unturned.

Not for working out or running

Great look and fit. Stopped working after 2 weeks. Similar problems on other reviews. These are fine for everyday use but not for working out or running. Very disappointed because of how much they cost and being an Apple product. Poor design where the power port is uncovered and sweat can't get into it as well as sweat can get into the volume controls as well because they are not sealed.

I've gone through 2 pairs in 6 weeks. Don't seem to be sweat-proof

I'm no audiophile..just someone who needs a decent pair of reliable earphones for my workouts and when I run. I sweat like any normal human during my workouts, so sweat-proof earphones are a necessity to me. That being said, I've had a set of Powerbeats2 earphones for over a year, and they've held up extremely well and have given me no issues.

Recently, I received a pair of Powerbeats3 earphones for Christmas to replace my old ones . After about two weeks of usage, the Powerbeats3 earphones stopped holding a charge, and I couldn't get more than 20 minutes of battery life out of them. Figuring it was just a defective set, I returned the earphones to Apple and received a new pair. Two weeks later with the new pair, I'm getting random spikes and decreases in volume, and the earphone controls and power button are not responsive. In fact, as I type this review, I'm trying unsuccessfully to power down the earphones.

After reading other reviews, my experience with these headphones does not appear to be isolated. There seems to be a major issue with quality control, and I'm pretty sure that these headphones aren't sweat-proof....Positives...they fit great, are low profile, and have a decent sound (I think my old Powerbeats2 sound better). If these actually worked, they'd be great for workouts. Until Apple can get this issue sorted out, I'll be falling back to my reliable Powerbeats2 earphones.

Will Not Pair with Apple Watch 2

Bought these new and they will not pair with my Apple Watch 2. Spent 35 minutes on phone with Apple Support, and they could not decide whether it were the headphones or the Watch. Other wireless Bluetooth devices pair fine with the Watch. I did get the PowerBeats3 to pair with my Microsoft Surface Pro 4, so I think it is funny that an Apple product works better with a Microsoft product than their own.

Horrible sound quality - not worth the $$

First had Beats2 - they had good sound... but bad design. The earbud thing broke off even though I treated them carefully - and after reading reviews - it was a consistent problem. Then I experimented with several cheaper pairs. Sound was horrible. So I tried Beats3 - looked like a different design. Expected same sound quality. BUT - design FEELS CHEAPER and the SOUND IS HORRIBLE. Not worth the money.

They sound great but design is flawed

I originally had the Powerbeats2 which I needed replacements for about 3 times. The 4th time I asked for a brand new set rather than a refurbished set. Apple Support was kind enough to oblige me with new Powerbeats3 which was totally unexpected and great of them to help me trust the brand again. 2-3 months in with the new powerbeats3 and the rubber piece that loops around the top of the ear literally snapped off while I was so delicately trying to mold it to fit better onto my ear. I'm disappointed. For something that cost so much yet the product continues to fail and disappoint at every turn. If you sweat a lot, the remote starts to malfunction. As a loyal consumer , I have made the logical choice to no longer purchase any more Powerbeats headphones. Why are we paying so much for a product that is cheaply made?

    Disappointing

3rd pair in 3 months. Previous 2 had the same issue. Couldn't power up.

Let's hope the this set works better than the previous 2.

    Expected more from Apple.

    Disappointed - 5 sets in 7 months

I have gone through 5 pairs of PowerBeats in 7 months. 3 pairs of Beats 2 and then the Apple store replaced them with Beats 3 and I've gone through 2 sets of those in 8 weeks.

The PowerBeats 3s cut out when i'm working out, the volume on iphone starts turning down til i can't hear the music - or it pauses the song or siri comes on. Eventually they just won't turn on after a charge.

I've given up on the Powerbeats. They're probably fine for everyday use but they do not stand up to sweaty workouts. It's too bad because I love the fit and design of them, but they gotta work...

Come on Apple you're better than this!!
