    awesome little earphones

just got a pair of black ones. very well made. they charged fully very fast. the earbuds that came on them fit perfectly. so far i have to say they sound great! i haven't listened to anything yet with heavy bass, but i'm sure they will be good. extremely comfortable. i think i can wear these for a long time without them bothering my ears which is not true with a lot of in ear headphones. i'm very happy!

Great headphones, but need a little tweaking.

    Pros:
    Design
    Ear adapters
    Connectivity(but also a negative)
    Magnets
    Sound

    Cons:
    Connectivity
    Random music playing
    End call/play pause button

I really enjoy these headphones. I own the Plantronic Backbeat Go and I enjoy those as well for different reasons. I would not recommend these headphones for jogging or outdoor activities(for safety reasons). These headphones block a lot of noise and you should be able to hear somewhat what is going on around you. For this reason I enjoy the Plantronic. These headphones are great for studying, airplanes, or in the gym. I started a call today and then connected the headphones, then out of nowhere music started playing and would not stop until the phone was reset(iPhone 7). The play/pause/end call button sometimes takes a firmer press for some reason. The Plantronic are updatable, I do not know if these are. I mountain bike and this is why I compare these to the Plantronic. I am not a brand junkie but functionality and sound and these sound really well. These headphones need some minor tweaking, but they are awesome sounding and work great.

    It's only ok

I expected BeatsX to impress me with good sound quality and exceptional battery life. The output doesn't sound stereo like. I have a 6+ and tried switching out the equalizer trying to find the best sound but to no avail; I still haven't found the best sound output for these earbuds. I also switched out the earbud pads that came with it maybe that'll help but it didn't.

The flexible neck band is very nice for workouts and running so that's a plus. The battery claim of up to 8 hours is hit or miss. I use it all day at work for a good 10-12 hours and I'm yet to see it go past 6 hours. The Fast Fuel does help after charging it for 5-10 mins, it'll give you at least 2 hours or less, so that's accurate. There's a problem with overnight charging though. After charging it overnight, I noticed a "trickle" discharge even if the earbuds are turned off. I noticed this a few times after turning it on, it displays either 98% or 97% on the battery meter. This is somewhat accurate but I can't say for sure because of my experience of less than the advertised battery life of up to 8 hours. Overall, it's decent enough to get 3 stars from me.

    Fab BeatsX

Brought these after having a different set of wireless headphones that were too heavy and wouldn't stay in my ears. These are fantastic, easy to set up, easy to use, battery lasts forever and super quick recharging.

My only complaint would be with the carry case. It's ridiculous, the headphones don't fit in nicely and there is nowhere to store the cable. For the price I would have expected something way better.

Would I still recommend them definitely

Simply the best headphones I've ever had!

I've had many different headsets over the years, some better than others for my use case. I walk for 2 hours per day as my main form of exercise. At my age I can't read books without falling asleep after 20 minutes so I multitask (yes it's possible as I'm combining a largely subconscious activity with a largely conscious one) and it's hard to fall asleep while waking. I have "read" more audiobooks in the past 5 years than I have read paper books in the previous 60 years. So I was after a headset with a decent battery life, good acoustic qualities, effective noice cancellation, wireless operation and ear comfort. The BeatsX is the best combo so far that I have found. The only suggestion I have for potential users is to consider changing out the ear tips for a good pair of Comply tips which work better for me by improving the ear comfort and passive noise cancellation.

    Excellent

M1 makes all the difference. I was a happy user of Jaybird headphones for years and never found another pair that was compelling enough to change. The only reason I bought these was for the M1. I have many Apple devices, and typical bluetooth headphones are a pain to use between multiple drives. With these, pairing and switching connections actually works and is super simple. The battery life is excellent, and the quick charge feature is game changer. The sound quality and fit is really great as well and on par with Jaybird.

My only complaints are that I wish the mic button doubled as the power button, like most other headphones, instead of having a separate power button. And I'm not a fan of the harder, rubber cable that sits on your neck. I'd rather the cable was shorter and hung freely behind my neck like the Jaybirds do.

    Otherwise these are great headphones.

    10 Short Seconds of Happiness

I purchased these, opened the box and was really excited. Tried them on and they were more than enough for my taste. Fit nicely in my ears, look great etc.. Im not going to comment on the sound because to me its fine; however, I cannot deal with the fact that every 3 seconds the connection cuts off. I did not pay 200$ to not be able to listen to a full 3 minute song.

    Battery stand by time.

I've been waiting awhile for BeatsX wireless available since announced in last Sep 2016.

Finally this BeatsX arrived. After few days play around with it, my concerns for this product is stand by time.

I have several BT earphones such as Sony SBH-80, Samsung U Pro ANC, etc. With those BT earphones, stand by time quite good when not in use.
Let's say you charged them, use them for 1-3 hours and leave them alone for few days, then pick them up and use in couple hours. And during stand by period, battery drains out very little. let's say 5-10% in few days.

Apple claimed 08 hours battery life but didn't mention about stand by time. My BeatsX last less than 02 days in mixed use and stand by.

Anyone please give me some update about stand by time when you using BeatsX.

    Thanks,

    Great headphones - 1 Flaw

The M1 chip truly changes the overall quality of headphones these days, 3rd party companies are going to have to seriously step up their game to compete with the technology. The beatsX are overall, a great wireless headphone solutions for everyday use working out or just listening to music and taking calls. However there is one major design flaw, the cord length is way too long. I'm 5-10 and the cord sticks out on either side of neck and hangs down toward my chest in an awkward way. This has to be the case for nearly 90% of the people that buy this product, I don't understand why Beats/Apple would include such a long cord assembly as it flops awkwardly when I run and workout and I can see it in my peripheral vision all the time. Just not as streamlined as it could be, perhaps sell two different sizes?

    Really like these!

Was disappointed that Apple delayed these for so long, but the wait was worth it! They connect really easily, are very comfortable, and the sound is good. The noise isolation is very solid (they block out most external noise on the subway), and the sound quality of phone calls was surprisingly excellent. This is my first-ever pair of bluetooth headphones, and I really enjoy the freedom of not being connected directly to the iPhone all the time. And the bonus? With the W1 integration, I can easily use these on my Mac or my iPad without having to unplug anything.

Not Worth it for the price

To begin with I feel these earphones are overpriced & should be no more than $100. The W-1 chip isnt that special & connect to my iPhone just as fast or a bit slower than my SOL Republic shadow wireless earphines. Next the volume is low on these earphones. I find myself having to almost max out the volume to get a desirable sound. These dont sound bad at all but these have more of a flat sound. I feel there are better earphones on the market for a cheaper price such as the SONY EXTRA BASS earphones ($99 wireless) ($29.99 Wired versions) that sound so much better & louder than the beatsx & definitely have more bass! If you are a bass head like myself your will absolutely love those earphones over these, and also save money as well. Definitely a better bang for your buck. After discovering the Sony extra bass earphones, I returned the beatsx the same day. For the beatsx you're mainly paying for marketing and Bluetooth connectivity features.

    NO CONNECTION.

This is my SECOND pair, and neither one would connect. I have an iphone 6s plus, a new macbook, and an Air 2, so I'm not being a 'hater', but these wouldn't connect to a FREAKING thing. Best of luck to everyone else who has had success, but in my opinion, they should have done more testing before selling a product with deal-breaking faults.

Excellent design, sound & ease of use - not for cold weather

Great design and fit, really easy to use, excellent sound. I took them on a backcountry ski outing at around 15 degrees, and they turned off after about 15 minutes into my hike up...seems like they'll be great for other sports as they fit tightly and stay in. Cool feature how the earpieces snap together. Highly recommended other than in cold weather.

A Truly Amazing Pair of Earphones

After a few days of usage, I've decided to create a review of these small but powerful pair of earphones. I've arranged my review into four categories and rated the earphones in all of them. I also added a very small section dedicated toward choosing these or the PowerBeats 3 at the end. Keep in mind that I am no audiophile and that I just enjoy and love bass in my music.

LOOKS (8/10): Since Beats is notoriously known for its fashionable-styled headphones, these are no exception, right? For the most part, yes, these look really nice. But the part that ruins the style of these earphones are the dangling cables; they look weird and too long, especially for those with short necks. Other than the cables, the buds themselves will look beautiful in any color you choose

BUILD (7/10): The buds themselves are made out of plastic with magnetic backs, meaning that when not in use, you can let them hang on your neck connected, which is awesome. The remote on the left side is also made of plastic. The cable itself is flat but the part that rests on the back of your neck isn't. Finally, the extra buds and wingtips are made out of silicone, providing maximum comfort.

DURABILITY (8/10): Keep in mind that the buds are plastic, meaning that they won't be that durable, but the cable is extremely flexible and bendable, which makes it easy to put the earphones in the provided rubber case However, I wouldn't just shove these in a tight pocket or anything similar since they might break.

SOUND (Subjective, but 10/10): (I am not an audiophile by any means) Look, don't call me stupid for liking Beats's sound quality; I know that the past generations of headphones sounded horrific but these are truly amazing for me. I listen to EDM and modern rap music with lots of bass and these earphones do not disappoint. Bass is extremely present but isn't overpowering whatsoever, unlike previous generations. These earphones will please anyone who enjoys most of today's modern music.

BONUS: To maximize your bass, change your iPhone’s equalizer settings to bass boost, find the best fitting earbud and use the wingtips; all together, you will get the best bass possible.

OVERALL SUMMARY: These earphones aren't for everyone; they're for those who truly enjoy bass in their music and want to really hear it. With that being said, I would recommend these headphones for those who listen to EDM, rap, and today's modern music. Keep in mind these are Beats and are intended to be used with an iPhone but can still work on an Android phone.

So are the PowerBeats worth the extra $50? It depends on how you'll use them. If you're planning on working out with your earphones, go for the PowerBeats since these AREN'T sweat or water proof. If not, then get these. Excellent noise isolation, looks, and sound in one great package.

    Comfortable Good Sound

First, the BeatsX sound very good. Not blow-your-mind-amazing but very good. I did a side by side test with the new Apple AirPods and the sound for the BeatsX was clearly better. The BeatsX are very easy to sync between iPhone, iWatch and iPad. Overall, highly recommended. However, there is room for improvements. First, the case is sort of a joke. I can not figure out a way to compact the BeatsX into the pouch without a piece of the cord or charger wanting to bust a move out. Second, where is the app? When you first pair the BeatsX, the battery life is reported to you so it is clearly being sent to your phone. Why is the remaining battery life not available directly through the iOS or a standalone app once the BeatsX are paired?
