    No Bass at all.

Very disappointing as the bass is really low. Comparing them with the normal/standard earphones that come with the iPhone, this is very bad.
At the first I though they could be faulty so I exchanged them, but the second ones still the same.

    Shocked

After previously owning both Beats by Dre Tour earphones and Bose QC25 Acoustic noise cancelling earphones, I did not expect these to surpass the quality of the Bose earphones, but definitely be an improvement on the Tours...The result was as I said in the title, shocking. They quickly proved to be as good or better than the Bose earphones and not only were these buds unrecognisable from any previous beats product before them, not only in form factor and technology, but in their build quality, their balanced, rich and quality sound reproduction. They stay comfortably fixed in my ears at all times no matter what, especially with the provided wing tips, and sound isolation is amazing especially considering that's not even a SP. 100% Recommend any perspective buyer to go for it, you wont be disappointed, I never usually bother to write a review but I felt these deserved it.

    Fabulous headphones

Convenient to wear, store and set up. Fit perfectly (in my ears at least) with lots of options to get the right fit... Most importantly though, they sound brilliant. Crisp, clear, bassy but not overdone. Classical music just as impressive as pop/indie etc. Highly recommended.

So sad that I had to give only 1 star

I have been looking fwd to this little thing since it's announced.
I purchased it on the very first day it's released.
    Then I am disappointed.
I just want to share 1 thing.
The sound is intermittent, this is definitely not something I could accept.
I can't even listen to my song!
I dunno if I was unlucky, but to me, Apple did an ugly job to deliver this to me.

Buggy, buggy, buggy. Nothing but irritating issues with these earphones

    Very disappointed in the BeatsX.
The sound is mediocre at best.
The power button is a pain to use and takes me multiple attempts to turn on or off. Very small and hard to press.
The other day, I tried to pause playback and instead started hearing an advertisement while the music still played.
And as I'm writing this review, my phone rang, it was announced in my earphones, but would not pick up when I pushed the button to answer the phone!
I thought this new chip was supposed to make pairing and usage easier, but I'm having nothing but trouble using it with my iPhone and Macbook Pro.

I think I need to return these.
Disappointed as I was looking forward to these for so long.

    Good, but didn't last long

I had very high hopes for the BeatsX. I'm a runner and have tried just about every other set of wireless earphones out there that are less than $200. Sound quality was excellent!! Bass was much better than I expected and the really fit in my ears good right out of the box. I had no need to swap the ear tips.

However, they only lasted 10 days and then they died. I used them 6 times over the course of the 10 days, and I was very impressed, but now their dead and won't come on. Reset doesn't work either, so back to Apple I go to change them out for another pair. I'm disappointed, but hopefully I get a better pair that last longer this time.

    My favorite earphones to date

The BeatsX have to be my favorite headphones the company has released. I have owned many pairs throughout the years from the HeartBeats to the Tours and PowerBeats. Being a developer, these have been a blessing to me. The sound quality is great for music, and hosting conference calls has been great as well. The charge is extremely quick and can recharge if I need to when I run to lunch and be set for the rest of the day. Keep going Beats. You are doing great things.

    First good value from Beats

First Beat product I can say that has good quality and value. Very competitive pricing. Pros: Very high quality product. Very light. Love the Lightning charging port. Perfect length of cables to move your head around. Good sound quality. Cons: Not much. The power button could be a bit easier to press. Current firmware 6.7 does not show battery indicator beside the BT icon on my iPhone. My other BT headset shows a small battery bar.

    Very Pleasantly Surprised

In the past I have used top of the line, wired Shure earphones. I had accidentally sucked my Shure's up in the vacuum and was leaving on a business trip the next day- long flight to Asia and needed noise cancellation afforded with earbud type earphones. I bought these out of curiosity and I am very happy with them. They sound great VERY comfortable. I had also tried the LG platinum HBS1100s and those were garbage compared to these. BTW to me they sound best with EQ on iPhone turned off. Anyhow, well done- definitely an effort they should be proud of...

    Perfect!

Just bought these babies today after finally getting the cash to purchase them and they're absolutely fabulous!! I was torn between the PowerBeats 3 and the BeatsX. Read many reviews and watched plenty of YouTube videos on each of them and also in comparison to one another and I went with the newest addition to the Beats family, the BeatsX. The new W1 chip makes battery life and Bluetooth paring seamless. They are perfect for my workouts and they're also perfect for just using them as an everyday earbud. The BeatsX come with 2 sets of wings to help secure them even more into ones ear, as well as an additional 3 other pairs of rubber caps.

I was going to go with the PowerBeats 3 at first, but, on my journey of reviews and videos, I have come to learn that the PowerBeats 3 have many many issues and most people retune them over and over again, or just go with new Beats all together. BeatsX all the way!! 5/5 would recommend.

    Worth the money

These are great headphones, sound is top notch and easily stay in my ears/around my neck. Only drawback is the cord isn't adjustable so it tends to slap me in my face/cheeks a lot, which is why I gave 4/5 stars. Also the case the headphones are stored in could be a little bigger and zip! Overall, I would highly suggest these to anybody! Wireless headphones make life at the gym so much simpler!

    Workout? While yes go ahead!!!

Look first off, like Cnet stated, these are sweatproof even though Apple doesn't spell that out in it's features. I owned Powerbeats2 (Bluetooth) and replaced them countless times! These are the best earbuds I've ever owned! I have used them for 2 straight weeks for a total of 9 1-hour elliptical sessions! Make sure you wear them around the back of your neck as advertised! You're welcome!!!

    Not Recommended for Northerners

My fully charged BeatsX earphones quit working about 5 minutes into my walk this morning. It was 10 degrees F. Apparently the battery cannot take the cold. That's a bummer for those of use who live in New England, because they cannot be used during outdoor activities in the winter.

Otherwise the only real problem with them is some cable noise ("microphonics"). I guess that's one advantage of the Apple AirPods.

Overall, they deliver as promised. They don't sound as good or as accurate as my trusty Sony MDR 7506 ($90) but they are more convenient.

    I really like these!

I have tons of earbuds and headphones so I know what sounds good and what doesn't. I really like the Beats X earbuds. They are super comfortable and so light that you don't feel much if anything in your ears or on your neck. They aren't noise canceling but the earbuds cancel out a lot of noise on their own so really, NC isn't necessary with these. They sound pretty good overall but they could be a touch louder but they are loud enough for 99% of people I think. The carrying case leaves a lot to be desired. It's just a silicone sleeve with an open end. ,aybe it will work. Maybe it won't. Time will tell. I prefer a carrying case like the zip up one they send with the power beats wireless.
Charging is simple. Pairing is simple. There isn't much not to like about the Beats X. There is no resistance when turning my head like I get with some earbuds from the cords pulling on my neck. Battery life is good enough. The one thing I'm not sure about is sweat. How will they do on a really hot set of days after a bath in salty sweat? We will see..

    Great purchase

So my Apple in-ear buds were starting to be problematic (going on 5 years) and since my ears do not hold EarPods snugly, Apple's AirPods were out of the question. Thus went with the new, blue BeatsX and am real happy with them. I mostly listen to audiobooks and the sound is just as good as the wired in-ear buds. I did not have to install other-sized tips as those preinstalled fit and hold just fine. Battery life is well...darn good and the 5 min charge/2hour battery life is indeed true. Pairing is scarily easy for a bluetooth item and sure enough, my other devices paired up via iCloud.
If I had to list annoyances there are 2: 1- if the cable rubs against the collar of your shirt you hear it and 2, the carrying case could have been thought through a little better. No closure so the cable tends pop out and it's a lint magnet!
    Other than these 2 minor points, it's a home-run for Apple...again.

    Excellent product!

Before I bought these, I had the AirPods. The AirPods are great, but I needed something that was comfort in my ear due to a tragus piercing and something that was a little louder since I suffer from hearing loss. I decided to try the BeatsX out and immediately noticed the excellent noise cancellation design. When I turned some music on, it was so clear and had a great volume! On top of that, I absolutely love that it had a remote feature for Siri, volume, and playback unlike the AirPods. It is very nice having wings and other interchangeable tips. I am so happy with my purchase!

    Wow. I'm impressed

I normally dont give reviews; however, I feel it necessary to review one of the best products I've bought in a long, long time. From the box right to the first use the Beatsx are remarkable. Sound quality exceptional, look is edgy and cool, and the functionality is on par to the best out there. Well worth the dollars. Thank you beats!

THEY DONT sound good enough for $200

I bought the iphone 7plus in November 2016 and, like many others, I'm scrambling to find a quality set of Bluetooth headphones that have features for my phone. I WANTED to love these headphones. The design is slick. The fit is great. The battery life and fast charge fantastic. The lightening charger makes me even happier. BUT BUT BUT. These are headphones....they have to SOUND good. For all the apple friendly specs I just cant convince myself to keep them. The sound is sooooo sooo subpar. The bass is uneven and flat. I have a pair of $29 sony earbuds that provide better enveloping bass with crisp trebles. I tested them over and over again playing the same songs, switching between my earbuds and the beatsx, and i just cant convince my ears and my brain into keeping them anymore. For something that's 10 times the price of a regular set of earbuds the sound quality should be comparable if not better. THESE ARE NOT. The fact that they aren't sweatproof either makes me worry they will be dead within a few months of taking them to the gym.

Overall - wait for the next gen. Apple even if these were $30 more and that was all it took to make the sound actually good...DO IT. Consumers - Dont buy these unless you dont actually care what your headphones sound like (which is crazy) but honestly.

Don't buy if you live in Canada

They're good earphones. Sound is good. Fit is good. Great for indoor use around the house or at the gym. However, if you're outside for long in the Canadian winter, they will constantly disconnect from your device. In -7 weather, they start dropping after 10 minutes and then have to be resync'd again every 5 minutes or so. Very annoying.
