Had waited for these but disappointed in the results

I have been waiting for these earbuds and order them immediately. Had several problems with them and was forced to return them. They kept dropping calls very frustrating. When I was listening to music and a call came in, irrelevant of the Volume I had them set to the ring would be at full blast and blowout my eardrums. I have a pair of corded beats and the sound quality is better than these. I like the concept but disappointed in the results.

    Poor Bluetooth connection

I've had my BeatsX for a little over a week and have experienced dropped Bluetooth connect in various situations. For no clear reason, the earphones will disconnect from my iPhone. I've tried removing and re-pairing a couple times with no luck. Apple also suggested resetting the earphones. I'm returning my pair and will try a second pair, so maybe the rating could be higher. Usually I don't mind paying a premium for Apple—but for now, I'm disappointed in an Apple product for the first time ever.

    Returned them.

hardly any bass at all. Every song sounded baseless. And kept falling out at the gym. Returned them.

    Best All Around Wireless Headphones

I have tried out many different wireless headphones, and I this is by far the best one. Sure this isn't perfect, but overall, it is a must have for anyone in the Apple Ecosystem. The headphones are really easy to pair, and it's easy to switch between my Mac, iPad and iPhone. These headphones are great at isolating sound, which I actually don't really like. When I use the headphones, I can't hear any background noise. For example, the fire alarm went off in my office building, and I didn't hear it at first. Battery is great, and the ability to fast charge and use my iPhone charger is perfect. My one complaint is that I wish the headphones would automatically turn off like the AirPods. But other than that, they're awesome headphones.

    Good enough for my needs

Pluses - I used to use standard, UE wired earbuds when I drive and listen to music or take calls. The wire to the iPhone always got caught on the emergency brake, etc. I really like the freedom of not having to deal with the extra wire. I do a lot of hiking in the hills, and again, not having the wire to deal with is great.

I think the sound quality is pretty good. I have read the negative reviews on sound, but I did not buy these for perfect sound. I like the fact that I can leave my phone in the house and listen to music or make calls from anywhere in my house. I have not had the issues others report of dropped calls.

Minuses - Battery life is said to be 8 hours. That is not my experience. I have kept track of the actual time and it runs about 5 hours; 40 minutes. That is not continuous use, and I am thinking of turning them on and leaving them on to see if battery time is longer. 5 1/2 hours is an adequate amount of time for me so it is not a major issue, but it concerns me that, when new, battery life is quite a bit less than advertised. I hope it does not decrease from here. They did power down once with 26% still showing as available. It has not happened since.

I had a hard time getting the right "fit" for my ears. Being male and having "male-size" ears I figured the larger ear "hooks" would be correct with one of the soft ear buds. Nope. Regardless of what I tried, they kept falling out. I finally switched to the smaller "hooks" and am using the buds from my UE earphones and have not had any issues.

    very happy purchase

at first, they shipped me the wrong color - which was easily fixed in store. The sound quality is good, its got a soft ear pod so it blocks out a lot of noise on the subway, and the one ear phone call is great in the office so you don't end up shouting.

Music: bass levels are nice, clear acoustic.

    Converted

I've worn Bose QC15 or QC20s for the past 6 years and they're still my go to earphones for flights or when I want better quality sound. However, these BeatsX are a brilliant every day earphone. I wanted bluetooth for simplicity and ease of use for my daily commute in London. I originally looked at the AirPods but the normal EarPods don't fit my ears that well so I assume the AirPods would be the same. The X1 chip made it super easy to pair and they also showed up automatically on my MacBook, iPad and Apple Watch. Having refused to join the Beats club previously on the grounds that they were over priced fashion accessories I'm not sure how the BeatsX compare in sound quality but I'm happy with the results. I've had to change the equaliser to 'Rock' on my iPhone to get more bass from them and I feel they could be a little louder but overall they do a good job. Quick charge feature is a god send when you want to go for a run and they're dead. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an every day earphone with half decent sound and hassle free use.

    Not bad, but going back

I'm returning these and getting AirPods instead. The sound quality is amazing and clear, but the cord makes a lot of noise every time I turn my head. The case also collects a lot of lint and weird crud, and the eartips do, too. All the little annoyances starts to add up! It's a shame, they do sound fantasrix.

Jaybird Freedom Wireless vs. BeatsX Earphones

I was looking for a set of wireless earphones to wear to work. Something light, compact, great hearing quality and comfortable. So here's my review comparing both brands I used:

JAYBIRD: I first tried out the Jaybird Freedom and it would not stay in my ears no matter which size ear buds I tried. I even used it with the wingtips for added comfort and support, and while they did help kept it in place, I felt the pointy ends poking my skin. They were extremely uncomfortable, the length was too short which made the earpiece fall out when I would turn my head to the side. The sound quality was also disappointing because one side was obviously higher than the other. I went back the next day to exchange it for the BeatsX earphones, and it was THE BEST decision ever!

BeatsX: I am SO IN LOVE with these! They connected to my iPhone 6s within seconds of being powered on. Fits so comfortably and securely in my ears that I can barely feel it being there. The flex-form cable that goes around the neck really keeps the earphones from shifting around so the length stays even on both sides. The length is also perfect because I can turn my head freely without pulling the earpiece out. I read some reviews complaining about the length being too long, but because the wire was shorter on the Jaybird, it kept shifting around the neck and pulling my earpiece making them fall out. So for me personally, the longer length works out better. The sound quality is also noticeably BETTER. I also own the Beats Solo2 Wireless headphones ($300), and the BeatsX ($150) is not that far behind in sound quality.

So YES, I highly recommend these BeatsX earphones if your goal is to have something that is convenient, stylish looking, great for listening to music, and extremely comfortable to wear. Also, it doesn't show the battery life at the top of your iPhone, BUT if you swipe your finger to the right while on the home screen and scroll down the list, it will show the battery life for your iPhone AND the BeatsX earphones. =)

    BeatsX Wireless

Got my BeatsX for a week to test it out from morning till night.

    Pro:
    1) wireless - convinient
    2) while waiting on my daily commute - I enjoyed listen to my favourite music using my iPhone 7 Plus
    3) it's light weight - sometimes does not even know it was there
    4) does not irritates my skin on my neck
    5) the fuel charge is the best thing of all
    6) Love the colour of the beats they throw in (Blue)

    Cons:
    1) the over all sound out put is not great but acceptable
    2) not sweat prove
    3) both the ear tips given for long hours of listening causes soreness

    Conclusion:
 Nothing to complain for the price I got. Initially wanting to go Jaybird X3 but I give up. The price is too much.
 Hope in the future will develope an app to adjust the sound equalizer for music junkie like me to tune to the level I wanted.

    Best of the BEST...

I ran Iroqouis Park Saturday, 6.9 miles (twice around) and did not have to adjust them once. The sound and bass response is INCREDIBLE! They do not allow for much if any outside noise. Be aware of your surroundings...

I really wanted to like them...

The BeatsX Earphones are comfortable and sound pretty good. They pair like magic to your apple products as well. If I were to use them for a daily commute or any other nearly stationary event I would have loved them. One of the key pieces to my sanity is, however, running. As the cord from these headphones smack your shoulders as you pound along it makes a horrendously distracting noise. I tried to ignore it, but could not do so. I ended up reverting to my tried and true Bose SoundSport Bluetooth earbuds. I tried the BeatsX on 3 different occasions, to make sure I wasn't being overly sensitive and they were not the victim of a bad mood... they are really that annoying. Sorry BeatsX.

Beyond Impressed with Everything - Former Jaybird X3 Owner

I picked up a pair of these white beauties a few days ago and all I have to say is... WOW!!

Bluetooth technology integration has been seamless using my iPhone 6 with the W1 chip and I've never encountered a problem. The charging is so convenient that not only does it charge quickly-even when I'm in a rush-but it's so ingenious for Beats and Apple to way produce a lighting-connected Beats cable. Reason being is if I lose it, I don't need to worry when I have plenty of lighting cables. Cable management is much better than my old, broken Jaybird X3s.

The most important aspect for me, is the SOUND. Apple came through with making Beats audio so much better when I used to never like Beats for their infamous reputation of being bass heavy. Get this, I currently own the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, and I needed a new pair of buds since the X3s I had wasn't durable. The sound the BeatsX provides was the utmost surprising. Everything I heard was clear, and to my favorite genres of EDM, pop, hip-hop, and rock, the bass was controlled yet still punchy, and the midrange I could hear more clearly and there was no harshness to the higher frequencies.

The BeatsX is a wonderful buy!

    Horrible for making calls

Just returned them after 2 weeks of intense use. Returned the first, the second was the same.
For making Calls: Horrible - callers constantly complaining. If you plan on making calls with this unit think again.
For listening to music: great sound isolation, average quality (nothing special and I think over priced for the sound quality.
Fit in ear: great, light, loved the magnet, cord too long.
DONT BUY IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO USE TO MAKE CALLS!

    Underwhelmed

I'm very disappointed in these - I've been waiting months for them. When using them for phone calls, the call goes "pixelated" or sounds "digitized" at times where I can't understand the person I'm talking to. Really poor quality.

    not ready

If this is Apple's answer to the wireless revolution I am going to keep my iPhone 6+ and wired ear buds. Really.

First the good. Yes, they pair easily. Hold it next to your iPhone, turn it on, and voila. Paired. Doesn't seem to work while actually wearing them though. Pretty easy with my Mac and iPad too. Hence they got a star for that. fast charging works, second star.

And thats about it for the good, and I REALLY wanted to like them, REALLY worked hard to understand them, but after a certain point of yet another dropped call, another 2 minutes trying to get them to actually work with my phone (after pairing) and then giving up to put the phone on speaker, after another fumbled Skype connection, at some point you realize its not you, its them.

To get them to fit, I had to use the extra ear pieces (and ear buds work fine for me). The instructions are not clear. The on off button is difficult (need to use my fingernail) and provides zero tactile feedback. They don't have any power management when out of ear. The sound really is not that great. but I didn't expect much, blue tooth is blue tooth. The range is not that much better than a cheap BT ear piece. People complain about the long wires, well yes they are a pain, but still not long enough to get to the controls comfortably which you have to use because if you touch your phone the phone forgets you have headphones and uses its own speakers. battery usage is not easy to find. Did I mention it routinely drops connection with my phone on calls, even if my phone is literally 2 feet away. Never drops on music. strange.

I wanted to like them, but now I want to return them.

    Returning it!

Read many reviews about this product, every where it was mentioned this one has excellent and strong bass but sadly wanna say it has no bass at all... tried all equalizer settings on my 7 Plus but didn't help at all. Secondly, these do not come with the sweat / water resistance... am sure music lovers will be disappointed.

    Sound Quality

I'm extremely disappointed with the sound quality of these headphones. My wired standard earbuds have better sound quality than these do. The battery life is adequate to meet my needs, and the design is amazing. I loved the way the earbuds fit in my ear and blocked out some of the loud NYC sounds. I'll be forced to return these because I don't see why I should spend this much money for a lack luster sound quality.

    Great earbuds

Great earbuds. They are a tad bit on the expensive side, but you cannot beat the Apple ecosystem. Everything works seamlessly and as it should. Of course the sound quality is paramount and the beats X deliver. Especially when playing around with the EQ, these ear buds hit all the ranges my ear can discern. I was a bit skeptical of the range but I am glad to say I was impressed. The cable itself is really comfortable, and sometimes I forget they even have a cable. I was able to play a little low-intensity basketball with them and they never fell out and maybe needed some readjustment once, showing they are great headphones for anyone on the go.
