    White noise

Comfortable and attractive but sound only mildly better than the free ones you get with your phone. There is a low white noise in the BG whenever sound is being broadcast. Very annoying.

A good product. Product won't fit in case.

A good product. Sound quality is very acceptable to watch a movie or listen to music and far superior to the PowerBeats 3 that I returned which sounded like two tin cans. Great range on Bluetooth. Default ear plug's are perfect for my ears. The wire laying on your neck is fine but I don't care for it with a collarless shirt. Battery life seems optimistic at rated 8 hrs as I've yet to achieve that. You have to play with two volume controls where my Beats Tour2 you only have one to adjust. The case is a joke as I haven't yet figured out how to get the whole BeatsX in it. That makes it hard to take with you! The Lightening to USB charge cable is a joke unless you plug it into your computer as it is too short to use with any USB wall or car charger. I wish there was an auto off feature after inactivity. It would be nice if you could tap the outside of one of the ear pieces to mute the sound or if they did like the Airpods and muted when you took one out of your ear. I'm happy with my purchase.

    Terrific - crushes competition

I originally purchased the Bose QC30's and was extremely disappointed with the microphone and moderately dissatisfied with the form factor. In comparison, the BeatsX microphone performs well separating background noise from voice. It's sound quality is even better with an encompassing bass and crisp treble. The max volume is notably better as well. The connectivity is quite amazing from pairing to performance. I can keep my phone in my bag, pocket, desk, etc. and I've yet to experience intermittent audio outages. The form factor seamlessly exists. Last, the noise isolation is nearly in line with the noise cancellation on the QC30 and even the QC20i.

A great option for folks who don't fit airpods

They're great! My ears don't really fit airpods/earpods well, and I usually like having replaceable tips for my earbuds, which the beatsX have!

I love the W1s, I've been using them for several hours, and as of yet I haven't had one of the classic problems I've had with bluetooth earbuds, static/range/disconnection. Flipping between my mac and phone works great!

But there's a design flaw (or at least a miss), I've had several pairs of earbuds that have a magnetic clasp. With *every* other one I've had, even ones from a compeditor that was 20 dollars, when you hook the two headphones together the earbuds would send a pause signal to the player and go into a low power mode.

With the beatsX when the earbuds hook together they don't send a pause to the player. I just took for granted that they would work that way, and hooked them together, walked to a meeting, only to realize that my music was still playing when I sat down :(

Not a deal breaker, but a little annoying, and I would have hoped that this was included, maybe the beatsX 2?

After 3 days of use - having Bluetooth connectivity issues

I was pretty excited about these headsets and I bought them on the day they came out. After 3 days of use, I have had numerous Bluetooth connection issues and considering returning them.

    - Connection drops randomly
    - Sound quality begins to deteriorate randomly (tiny, echo)

I have paired the earphones to my iPhone several times and that hasn't solved the issues. At first I thought it was the distance from my phone to the earphones, but it really is only 3 feet away at times, which shouldn't impact the connection. (For instance, it is on my desk and I am walking within my office.)

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues?

    Why not sweatproof at least???

I think the sound is great with these. Pairing is a snap. Fit (for me at least) is as good as I've ever had with a set of earbuds. The cord could be just a touch shorter though. I'm finding that to be a little bit awkward.
The battery has been good based off just the initial full charge. I've used them almost 3 hours and still at 61%.
I was really hoping these would be sweat-proof so I could work out in them and not have to worry about ruining them. I purchased some lighting connector plugs to at least seal that off... I don't plan on doing anything other than running in these or wearing them on my walk to and from work each day and so far, so good... Here's hoping they last a while.

    Worth the wait

I'd been waiting for this product since they were announced, I've never owned a pair of wireless headphones bc I prefer in-ear headphones and all the ones on the market before these came out didn't have the features I want. These are so convenient, the 5 minute fast-fuel charging is awesome. And I already have like 10 lightning cables spread around through out my house so I can charge whenever since they are lightning compatible, and that w1 chip is so convenient. My only complaint is putting them in the case, they aren't meant to bend all that much because of the flex-form cable but I don't feel like I need to put them in the case that much, I just keep them around my neck throughout the day.

Perfect with just one small gripe

Honestly an amazing bluetooth hesdphone. Great design, great sound, great wireless range, great battery life, great form factor, and great pairing process that's just so easy. The Fast Fuel feature is no joke, either. They died and I plugged them in for 5 minites and it went to a full 40%: just insane. One thing I like over something like LG Tone is that you can coil it up and put it in your pocket if you really need to. The carrying case is my only gripe. It's too small and it's a pain to get the headphones in there, but luckily you can wear them with the magnetized earbuds. But aside from that, a near flawless product. Would definetly recommend.

Once you put on the ear phones, you are in the world of music. The outside world doesn't exist. The sound is superb, feel comfortable to have in the ears and above all the design is minimal. Thank apple.

Im really impressed with these! Comfortable fit and they sound great! With the volume just half way up, outside noise is completely isolated (I commute on the tube by the way) Nice balance between treble and bass.

    Imbalanced sound

The sound in the right ear is about half the left side. I know it isn't me as my wife noticed the same thing. They sound eerily similar to the free headphones that come with your iPhone. Very disappointed. They will be going back to the store.

    Excellent connectivity

The connection of the headphones to the iPhone couldn't be easier. Also, outside (where bluetooth always seems to fail), these did not cut out once on a 7km walk in the city. These are the first bluetooth headphones I have used that can say that. They fit well, but I could see some people not liking the look of the long cords down the side of your head, but that is minor. Only gripes, sound could be better (though are much better than the wired pods that come with your phone - they just aren't top tier quality, but good regardless). Also, the button for the pause/play is recessed, which when wearing gloves, makes it difficult to press properly (minor issue and I have an Apple Watch, so it's not a huge deal). Next generation, if the headphones were able to pause/sleep when magnetically held together, slightly better sound and raise the button - it would make it a 5 star in my books.

    GOOD...But could be greatly improved...

First thing, packaging is great as always, Comes with plenty of ear-tips/wing tips. And carrying case, although it feels a little flimsy.

Earphones feel great, and are very comfortable, although I find the neckband/wire feels far too long, when in my ears they hang down very far by the side of my face, which can be a little annoying.

Great battery life and connectivity with Apple W1 chip.

    Great Sound

I have only had them for a few hours. They are not quite as loud as I thought they would be however, I have a listened to about six different genres of music in the dynamic range is very good. They seem to block out all of the background noise and you just hear the music. I have had a few conversations on the phone while driving down the road and nobody seem to know that I was on a Bluetooth device. Hook up was quite easy On my iPhone 6 Plus. So far I am very pleased.

    Nice sound, very comfortable headphones

As a long time iPhone owner I always wanted an Apple wireless headphone set that was light, easy to pair with all other devices, the Beats X is exactly what I was looking for.

I'm not an audiophile, I mostly listen to pop, salsa and podcasts, not necessarily in that order, the Beats X now allow me to get off my car and seamlessly go from my car's bluetooth to the headphones without missing a beat.

I am sure there would be plenty of discussion about the price, sound etc., but if you are looking for good sound, ease of use and not a bad price, these are the headphones for you or at least the Apple fan.

Best wireless earphones on the market!

I've gone through plenty of wireless headphones over the past year. Once these were announced I was very excited. Beats have always had a great balanced sound and the bass is amazing. These earphones are possibly the best wireless earphones on the market. Compared to the other earphones out currently, they have a nice clean sound and fit insanely comfortable. Now I'm not sure about how long they'll last but the build quality seems great. If you'd ask me I'd recommend them to anyone who is in market for wireless earphones.

Not sure about the 8 hours battery!

I've been listening music for 2 hours and I already have 49%.
I don't know what they mean by 8 hours of battery life.
Other than that, I love them, very light, you can't even feel that its around your neck. Sound quality its as usual GOOD. Depends what size eartips you wear you will notice a difference on sound and bass.
They are very steady in my ears, perfect for jogging or gym work outs.
Easy to pair it with your Apple devices.

    Early days yet but...

I've been waiting for these for months but well worth the wait... easy set up with all my apple devices but more importantly the sound is amazing and really comfortable. I was looking for a go between of casual all round day-to-day use and also good for the gym (even with out the wing tips for stability) these as suspected are perfect. Stoked.

    Love the features

I had been waiting for these headphones for a long time. I liked the concept that these would easily connect to all my apple products without any effort on my part. What really got me going was the 5 minute fast charge, which saves me from having to remember to charge these before I go to the gym (I can wait 5 minutes for a 2 hr charge). Even better, they charge using a lightning connector, so once less cord to carry with me when I travel.

I also like the heavy duty cord holding the headphones together. It feels like they will last a long time and will not get tangled when I shove them in my pocket.

In terms of sound quality, these are an improvement over the headphones that come with iPhone, but I would not call it an earth shattering difference. Obviously the noise isolation nature of these helps improve the sound and I think they've compensated for any loss of quality over the bluetooth connection. I'm happy so far and would recommend them.
