    Great product

I got this product months ago and I love it. I have tried so many different wireless devices and they don’t compare to it. The sound is so great, when I have on I’ll forgetting that I have it on.

One of those Apple products that really holds the "magical" descriptor

I generally don't like the ear pods that come w/ iPhones. We have a bunch of those little cases around from iPhones over the year. They're not quite comfortable and can even fall off the ear.

    AirPods, however, are different.

The design actually seems to matter because they stay in. Pretty well, too.

Really loving them. Pair immediately. iOS 11 lets you modify the "double-tap" commands instead of Siri (click on them in your bluetooth settings). They know when they go in your ear. The mini case is carrying around a multiple charges with you. Control quickly from you Apple Watch with WatchOS 4 (music controls on when something is playing).

There is a reason people are raving about them. If you're on the fence about getting them, you should probably make the jump and get them.

    Doesn't live up

I waited for these airpods and bought them in January. They advertised that you could use these for any type of activity unless in water. I am on the 3rd pair since they lose sound quality if you use them regularly when exercising. They were great at changing them out but finally we determined this would not work. I asked for a refund so we could stop the back and forth but Apple doesn't stand behind its product. They now sit in the drawer. What a waste of money.

    Excellent!

They are very comfortable and easy to listen to.After a while you don't even realize you are wearing them. The freedom of wireless is fantastic! They are able to reproduce a excellent sound stage. You can also hear the texture of the voices on a well recorded piece of music. In my opinion they are definitely worth the money.

    Fit great!

Just got the pair other day, would recommend.Sound better than corded more bass and are truly easy to use without the regular hazel of other bluetooth headphones. Almost as good as sound as my bose on ear bluetooth. The charger is smart and more hours than you will need.

    AirPods-The Tangle Free Future.

As the proud owner of PowerBeats 3 I never opted for Apple’s AirPods originally as I felt I didn’t really need them and was also frightened of losing them (pro tip: set up Find my iPhone and you can track the location of your AirPods).

Having seen a good friend with them recently I must admit I was easily swayed and opted to indulge in a pair and needless to say it’s not a decision I regret.

Gone is the annoying habit of getting your wires tangled up and wondering why your music has stopped (because you’ve caught yourself too many times and pulled the cord out!)

Audio quality is great but not stellar (sorry Apple); audiophiles will argue otherwise but I find my PowerBeats 3 have better range and quality over the AirPods.

The charging case is great; it uses Apple’s Lightning cable which is useful if you have a few of them lying around at home. A few minutes in the case means you can easily listen beyond the quoted playback time of five hours.

Also like the feature in whereby you can place both AirPods in the carry case. Open the lid and hold it near your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and it’ll show the battery life remaining in each AirPod plus the battery percentage of the case itself.

All in all? Definitely the way forward and am glad Apple came out with this.

    Worth every penny!

One of the most magical products I've ever had the joy of using. Pairing is easier than plugging in a headphone's, and because of this I find myself listening to music more often. Sound quality is pretty good, definitely a step up from the EarPods, and the battery life is pretty great. Would highly recommend this to anyone, even someone who isn't so tech savvy. Wish I purchased them sooner.

    AirPods!

I purchased these AirPods earlier today, and I must say, I can hear the difference in sound quality with these, and the wired earphones. These AirPods give off great sound and the quality is amazing, also. There’s no static like there’d be with the wired earphones. For the price, these are definitely worth it. I love that they come with a charging base that isn’t sold separately. So, if I’m on the go, I can easily charge my AirPods, without having to worry about getting to a USB port to do so. I think the creators of these AirPods have outdone themselves. These are certainly great if you happen to yank the wired earphones out of your ears, constantly, like myself, or they get caught onto something.

    Never going back to wired!

I got my AirPods yesterday and am so impressed. The quality of the sound and the charging case are awesome. My right is set for Siri with a double tap, and my left is to pause / play. I noticed that the double tap to pause / play does not work with some of my programs, such as games. While on YouTube, the double tap would pause the video and sound, but double tapping did not start it back up, and I had to push play on the phone. That was OK with me because I was watching a video anyway. As for programs that aren't Apple, bringing up the Control Center or pushing the Home button would instantly pause the sounds, so knowing that, it's no big deal to me, as I'm looking at my screen anyway. I loved going downstairs to the kitchen and still being able to listen to the music playing on my iPhone that was upstairs. I did notice that when playing music on my Watch the controls are front and center automatically, but when I double tapped to pause the music, I waited too long and when I double tapped again, it didn't resume where I left off, but started playing different music from my iPhone. I pushed play on my Watch to resume the song was I was listening to. I generally bought these to play games without disturbing my husband while he watches tv or sleeps, to listen to music, and to make calls from my Watch. When making calls from my Watch, I couldn't hear the person I was talking to very well, but now it's perfect volume and clear, and I love it! They fit great in my ears and do not fall out, even when making a headbanging gesture. They are comfortable, and to me, they just look like earrings. I think they are worth the money and I recommend to anyone hating those wires that constantly get tangled, restrict how far away you can be from your iPhone, and pull the EarPods out of your ears to try these. I also love being able to keep my iPhone 7 charging while I watch videos. A big plus with me!

    Very, very good

Very impressed with my AirPods. They connect effortlessly to any device you are using, they are comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. Another great feature is the smart case, this ensures you will be never be caught out battery wise as when the AirPods are placed in there they are charging, excellent feature.

Nice, but less magical and more frustrating.

I really wanted to love these, and for the most part, I do. Or at least, I like them a lot. They sound pretty good, not much better or worse than the wired earbuds. They are extremely comfortable and don’t fall out or even become loose. However, switching between devices is a pain. Half the time it works as advertised, and feels pretty magical. Half the time, devices simply don’t see or show them at all. Everything is signed into the same iCloud account. Switching from iPhone to iPad is hit or miss. Switching to Mac is even worse. Have to go to Bluetooth settings and manually connect or forget and re-pair them. Typically it’s a lot of putting them in and out of my ear, in and out of the case, and flipping the lid open and closed repeatedly. If I’m lucky that works. If not, it takes 1-3 minutes of jumping through hoops, settings and buttons. Quite frustrating actually, especially considering the price of these things.

I love Apple. Long time user and fan from before the “Apple is doomed” days. And these AirPods are fantastic - WHEN THEY WORK. But overall I’m left slightly disappointed, if not hopeful, that these are close, but still not great. Maybe an update will help things. Fingers crossed. Still use them every day, despite the regular frustrations they cause.

    Not quite there

Pros: Easy pairing, comparable sound to wired earbuds, GREAT microphone for phone calls, works great with apple's apps (music, podcasts, phone)

Cons: Ugly design. Not great compatibility with 3rd party apps. For instance taking the headphone out and having it pause feature works great for apple apps, for third party apps resuming when you put the headphone back in is hit or miss, and double tapping to get siri to play a 3rd party app almost never works (even when its just to resume play after pausing, the phone is unlocked, AND the app is open, the phone still prompts me to open the app to play rather than simply doing it from voice command), this is NOT an issue I have with other bluetooth headsets, just a weird obstacle apple put in place for these ones. Also there is no method of control from just the headsets (where other bluetooth headsets have a physical button to push for play and pause, double push for volume etc, or some combination of taps to accomplish the same), with these ones everything is siri, so no matter how simple a thing you want to do its double tap + voice command, which is overly cumbersome for small things like adjusting the volume or pausing playback, and I have found the double tap to not work maybe 25% of the time, which is often enough to be annoying. Also a feature oddly lacking that is present for other bluetooth devices is having a battery gauge in the upper right hand corner, if I put the batteries in the case, then flip the case open, I get a pop up telling me what is left on both the case and the ear pieces, but otherwise you're stuck guessing your battery level between recharges.

A lot of the cons can be fixed through software updates, so still hopeful these might improve while I'm owning them. But right now the cons outweigh the pros for me.

Once I put these on, I can't go back to wired anymore! I LOVE THEM!

My experience with these was very similar to watching regular TV and then seeing for the first time what High Definition looked like. Once I saw that, I could not go back to normal. I had to watch only HD! My experience with the AirPods are the same! I am hooked! I love them. If I could buy them for every member in my family, I would.

    Great bit of kit

I had spent quite some time wondering whether or not it would be worth investing in a pair of AirPods, reading many reviews, and trying to justify the cost to myself. I can gladly say that they were worth the purchase.

I had read that volume wise they weren’t as good as the wired headphones. I can confirm that this is not the case, or at least it was t noticeable from my perspective. The sound, if anything, is much punchier at the low end. Does the sound quality justify spending £160? ....certainly not. However, the freedom of having no cables getting snagged on things is worth every penny.

Over the years I have owned various brands/styles of headphones - Sony, Panasonic, Philips, JVC, Sennheiser, E-Shure, etc. What did they all have in common?.......all of them failed due to cable issues. Cables getting caught on handles, in zips, trapped in drawers and what not. Over time the cables are damaged beyond repair, and in most cases cannot be repaired/replaced, so they’re flung in the bin. The e-Shure headphones cost me £120 alone, and that was a decade ago (to date, they had the best quality of sound by a mile though). This is how I managed to justify the price

What if they fall out of my ears??? - everyone has different shaped ears, so there may be people who may not get a good fit. I’ve had absolutely no issues with the AirPods even remotely budging from my ears. In fact, the wired headphones were more prone to coming out of my ears due to cable snagging. I had my first run with them in today and there were no issues with the AirPods working loose.

    Why 4 ⭐️, not 5??? - are they worth £160?, no. £100-120 would be a fairer price.

What could be improved? - more controls. I can set my double tap on each ear to either skip track/play previous. The problem is that I then can’t assign a double tap to activate Siri, or any other double-tap function. Hopefully Apple will find a way of adding additional functionality without having to opt for which ones you’d use most. I’d like to skip tracks, change volume, and activate Siri by using different tap commands (why not have a triple tap option??)

    Please redesign

While the sound is good (while in a quiet room) and the connection flawless, these look silly. They remind me of Q-Tips just hanging out of your ear. Surely Apple could have come up with a different, more ergonomic feel and look? Seriously, these white sticks poking out of your ear? I know that the reviews are more about the sound quality and how they actually work, but my first impression was how they look. I give it 4 stars for the technical side but 1 star for aesthetics.

    WASTE OF MONEY

Complete utter waste of your money - if you are debating purchasing this product I would advise you don’t - the charge is useless, it is way too overpriced, clearly cheap to make and design and they can’t stay in your ears to save your life - very unsatified with my purchase and I hope you don’t make the same mastake

    Awesome tech!

I was so sceptical about these. I thought they would sound like the earbuds that come with the phones. Those aren’t worth 160.00. These are worth it. People complain about not having any controls on the AirPods. I don’t have that issue, I control my music with my Apple Watch. When music is playing on your iPhone the Apple Watch has the music controls on it automatically. You have all the controls (pause, next, previous, volume control, and access to playlists, radio, and albums. I know it’s something else to purchase. But they work so well together....
