Once I put these on, I can't go back to wired anymore! I LOVE THEM!

My experience with these was very similar to watching regular TV and then seeing for the first time what High Definition looked like. Once I saw that, I could not go back to normal. I had to watch only HD! My experience with the AirPods are the same! I am hooked! I love them. If I could buy them for every member in my family, I would.

    Great bit of kit

I had spent quite some time wondering whether or not it would be worth investing in a pair of AirPods, reading many reviews, and trying to justify the cost to myself. I can gladly say that they were worth the purchase.

I had read that volume wise they weren’t as good as the wired headphones. I can confirm that this is not the case, or at least it was t noticeable from my perspective. The sound, if anything, is much punchier at the low end. Does the sound quality justify spending £160? ....certainly not. However, the freedom of having no cables getting snagged on things is worth every penny.

Over the years I have owned various brands/styles of headphones - Sony, Panasonic, Philips, JVC, Sennheiser, E-Shure, etc. What did they all have in common?.......all of them failed due to cable issues. Cables getting caught on handles, in zips, trapped in drawers and what not. Over time the cables are damaged beyond repair, and in most cases cannot be repaired/replaced, so they’re flung in the bin. The e-Shure headphones cost me £120 alone, and that was a decade ago (to date, they had the best quality of sound by a mile though). This is how I managed to justify the price

What if they fall out of my ears??? - everyone has different shaped ears, so there may be people who may not get a good fit. I’ve had absolutely no issues with the AirPods even remotely budging from my ears. In fact, the wired headphones were more prone to coming out of my ears due to cable snagging. I had my first run with them in today and there were no issues with the AirPods working loose.

    Why 4 ⭐️, not 5??? - are they worth £160?, no. £100-120 would be a fairer price.

What could be improved? - more controls. I can set my double tap on each ear to either skip track/play previous. The problem is that I then can’t assign a double tap to activate Siri, or any other double-tap function. Hopefully Apple will find a way of adding additional functionality without having to opt for which ones you’d use most. I’d like to skip tracks, change volume, and activate Siri by using different tap commands (why not have a triple tap option??)

    Please redesign

While the sound is good (while in a quiet room) and the connection flawless, these look silly. They remind me of Q-Tips just hanging out of your ear. Surely Apple could have come up with a different, more ergonomic feel and look? Seriously, these white sticks poking out of your ear? I know that the reviews are more about the sound quality and how they actually work, but my first impression was how they look. I give it 4 stars for the technical side but 1 star for aesthetics.

Complete utter waste of your money - if you are debating purchasing this product I would advise you don’t - the charge is useless, it is way too overpriced, clearly cheap to make and design and they can’t stay in your ears to save your life - very unsatified with my purchase and I hope you don’t make the same mastake

Easiest pairing process ever. Syncs to all my other devices automatically. Extremely smart, best hardware UX I’ve had in a long time.
    Highly recommended!!

    Awesome tech!

I was so sceptical about these. I thought they would sound like the earbuds that come with the phones. Those aren’t worth 160.00. These are worth it. People complain about not having any controls on the AirPods. I don’t have that issue, I control my music with my Apple Watch. When music is playing on your iPhone the Apple Watch has the music controls on it automatically. You have all the controls (pause, next, previous, volume control, and access to playlists, radio, and albums. I know it’s something else to purchase. But they work so well together....

    Best Decision Ever

I couldn’t decide for a long time if I should purchase the AirPods or get something different. I finally made the decision to purchase the AirPods and I’m glad I did. The sound quality is amazing and they fit perfect in my ears.

    Surprising good!

I was VERY skeptical but am more than pleasantly surprised. My preference for buds have been Jaybird for a long time, and I still prefer those for hardcore cycling due to wind noise and a little fear of losing one, though one has never fallen out. I've noticed a difference when listening through Watch, which is not as good as listening direct from iPhone. I wish there was an app to fine tune the sound like JayBirds but not a deal breaker.

The fit works for my ears, which isn't true for the Earbuds that come with iPhones. Can wear all day with zero fatigue, and love that I can listen while working, switch to phone call (which sound great on both ends of call) then pick up where song was. The case is awesome. When I take a break, the pods charge back to 100% in short time. I have only had a few occasional instances of break up in connection, and can't put finger on why it happens. Mostly at gym so far, but not enough to really bother me. Now Siri..I changed settings to pause/play for one and skip to next track on the other, but sometimes change one to Siri. Since I have the Watch, it's easy to control volume and other things from that, or the phone. Convenience is amazing compared to others..no pairing, no on/off, easy to see battery life. So far I love them. And did I mention, no wires? So why 4 stars? Price is one reason. And no choice of colors is another. Should offer colors like phone and watch.

    Perfect for university

A hassle free easy way to listen to the music you love with quality sound and a long playback time, it says 5 hours, personally they have lasted 6 and a half for me before and with the case they can last about 4 days before charging the case. perfect for college or university as cables don't get in your way and you don't get the bulk of over ear. Its almost like they aren't there. not sure about for workouts as there is no sweat proof "label" so do at own risk.

    far better than expected

far far better than I expected or hoped for.

Tried a pair for size in the apple store, great fit, no movement or risk of falling out.
Sound is excellent when fitted tight in the ear, and the easy of connection is just 1st Class
    Highly recommend

    Worth the price

I bought these yesterday morning then headed out to cut a few yards, go to the gym and pack up a spare room in my home. This morning I have done my own yard work, made repairs lot my fence, washed the car and worked on chores that are not as rewarding. The AirPods stayed connected, provided great sound quality and never fell out of my ears. Phenomenal! To justify the price of theses I have been putting money back for the past few months, they are worth every dollar on the tag.

Great product from a amazingly innovative company.

Buying for a Mac? Think again

One star may seem harsh for this product but there is a reason - and it's pretty fundamental.

I got mine to use not just with my iPhone but also my iMac - a recent edition iMac at that.

At first I was impressed - but then the problems started.

The primary problem was that when I switched to using the airpods' mic with the Mac the audio was rubbish. A little digging around suggested that when switching to using the airpods' mic it forced the Mac to use a low fidelity codec - and not only that it applied to the listening audio as well as the mic audio. Option-click on the airpods in the blu tooth list confirmed it - it showed the codec being used and it downgraded when using the airpods' mic.

For me the quality was unacceptable - and I have had resort to either using the built-in Mac mic (which kinda defeats the purpose) or using my old wired apple earphones (which definitely defeats the purpose).

The other main issue is that for me they did not seamlessly switch from my Mac to my iPhone - I have to manually do that through settings.

So, for me, it is another apple product that doesn't 'just work'.

    Purely Magical!

It works like magic! with great sound quality and quick connectivity, AirPods are truly redefining the way we are listening to music and making calls.

All together its a great product, but it has some limitations - like for eg. if you need to up/down the volume you need to depend on your iPhone or Siri. Hope Apple would come up with a solution in the near future!

So say good bye to wired era and say hello to AirPods! It's the future!

    Volume too soft

Bought a pair and found the volume was so low you could not hear the music in usual shopping centre noise. I did not make it out of the centre but took them back for a refund. Good idea but poor execution

    Superb product

I was skeptical but I shouldn't have been. I can only recommend this product. Music sounds great, I don't think MP3 format would need more than airpods can offer for sound quality. You can easily pair with other iPhone if you want to lend it to a family member. Honestly I don't know if $159 is too much or if it is a fair price for this but once you own it price will not come to your mind ever. My ears are big enough to hold them even if I ran but they fit in the ear of my 12 year old as well w/o any issue with movement. The only reason I gave 4 stars because there is no AppleCare for this product yet it cost the same like Apple TV.

    Pick up Today

I went to AT&T to get Direct TV service. I had been looking at the AirPods for a while wondering if they were up to par and should I spend my money. Let me tell you I'm so happy I got them and I love them just got them today 6 Oct 2017. I have to say I'm surprised of them to sound so good. Go check them out you have 14 days to return them if you don't like them so why not. I thought they wouldn't stay in my ears but I was wrong no I haven't done anything crazy to see but I'm totally satisified of my purchase. You would believe I wrote a paper on Apple Bluetooth headphones while in college at UOP in 2014. I wrote it to connect with all an look what happens they come through with what I wrote. you can check they wasn't in 2014. All in all they are good to go with me. I do not work for Apple just done a paper on the company because they were one of the ones that didn't have bluetooth (headphones) at the time.

    My Seven Day Review

For having this for a week, it's amazing how simple and yet almost needed it is to do my daily tasks that involve audio. Sounds a tad better than the wired ones. Overall these are great and are justifiable for their price.
