The super reviews created my interest. Time for my review.

Yes, I had struggled to have Bluetooth headsets charged, to ever enjoy them. But this headset is a game-changer. So far I am in love. Part of it is the one ear at a time use, so I can listen to a podcast or music and hear the real world to safely drive, walk. Calls are super clear and those I call say I am super clear. Best purchase in a long time. The beauty of the case and the ability to use one headset so one can be ready without pause to answer calls, the simple pairing, all major pluses. I gave away a few failed headsets to Goodwill. This odd looking set turns out to be what I was looking for without knowing it.

    So useful

So I have a mophie case for my iPhone and it changes the the charging port to android charging port but it has a backup battery pack in case I run out of battery and it has the same protection as a otterbox and it cost 100$ so with the AirPods I can listen to music without a lightning port.

Great Idea but does not deliver

Great concept but not up to par with all the hype.
Does not stay in ear. Good for sitting on a plane, in a car or a train but forget about moving around. They will fall out of your ear canal.
The sound quality is on par with the free EarPods that you get with your phone. Not worth the price. Seems like Apple jumped the gun and released this before all the kinks got worked out. Would not recommend but would advise to wait for next generation. Sad indeed.

    Excellent Wireless Experience

I bought these primarily for taking/making calls while driving or walking, and of course for music. I am not an audiophile, but I find the sound quality to be very good considering they are in-ear headphones. I have found that a couple of people who previously complained about hearing me on my wired Ear Pods no longer have any issue hearing me with the Air Pods.

Stating the obvious, they do not make a great fashion statement. Luckily for me, I really don't care about it.

For the most part the setup and daily use of the Air Pods are as advertised. They couldn't be easier to use. My only issues are that:

    1) Battery life for the Air Pods, especially when using for calls, is not fantastic. I seriously doubt I would get 5 hours.
    2) Occasionally the bluetooth connection to my iPhone is very slow.

While the battery drains faster than I expected, they do charge up in the case very quickly. So far it seems the battery drains faster when taking and is more in line with expectations when playing music. Not sure why. In real word use, they still offer solid battery performance.

As for the bluetooth connection issue, I can't pinpoint scenarios to replicate the problem. Once in a while when I put an Air Pod in my ear, it doesn't connect or takes 20-30 seconds. Most of the time, it is instantaneous.

Overall, I am very impressed especially as a 1st generation version of a new product.

    WOW!

I just got my AirPods Thursday. Have been sitting with them in for the last 4 hours or so and it is great to listen to music and my ears not hurt from my head phones. The sound doesn't compare to my Sony wireless over the ear headphones, but the sound is pretty good. Linking them is so EASY!! Just open the case near your unlocked iPhone or iPad and it pops up to link. They come partially charged and ready to go. They stay in pretty well. I've been dancing around like a fool and they haven't budged. I got no strings on me should've been used for the commercials for the AirPods, cause truly there are no strings.

Great Concept But Falls Short Of Expectation

I was very excited getting my hand on one of these as they are pretty much sold out everywhere. Honestly, I do not know what the big hype is about. The AirPods are extremely uncomfortable in my ear since it's a piece of hard plastic. If you try to shove it in your ear canal to stay put, the sharp edges not only cut into your skin but it is also a very awkward sensation. Because it is such hard and high gloss material, it does not stay in your ear comfortably. They keep loosening up even if you don't move and eventually slide out of your ear completely. There is a reason why other manufacturers use soft silicone tips! You can probably get around this problem by purchasing additional after market silicone covers, but you have to keep taking those off every time you have to charge your pods. I'm just surprised that Apple did not think about this.

    These are the best!

They really exceeded my expectations. Sound is crystal. So comfortable you can't even feel them.
Long battery life and the recharging/docking station is genius.
    Thank you so much.

    brilliant

i was blown away by the quality of the AirPods from the structure of it to the sound quality. I have tried every brand out there and nothing was good enough. I have always been using Beats over ear and decided to give these a try only for me to fall in love with them. they don't fall and the base is pretty impressive for the size of them.
worth the investment. another home run from Apple.

    Love Them

Had them for about a week now and I am in love. They work so well with my iphone, ipad, macbook, Apple Watch and Apple TV. I've done multiple workouts including running and full body workouts. They NEVER fall out. I honestly have to check my ears to make sure they're not lose or anything because they feel so light like nothing is there. The mics are amazing. Music quality is great. Only issue is now being able to control volume without the watch or phone handy but all the Pros of owning these far outweigh the cons.

    Worth it

I had such a low expectation on this tiny guy, especially if you have ever done some research on YouTube. People say that sound quality is not as good as beatsX. But guess what this is the one I have ever exceed my expectation. The sound quality is actually not too bad. Love his totally wireless concept. Deffo worth any penny

    Crazy in-ear earphones

No words to speak when putting it on. As an audiophile, this is a surprising wireless earphones with great sound quality! Usually wireless earphones are poor in sound, or comfort. But this has both of 2 worlds! The only issue I am having is the plastic case, which scratches and dents extremely easy, you need a case right away if you are OCD, which is why I have given 4 stars. With the prices comparing outsiders, this is really worth it. I am now using it as my home and walk and run ... which means my daily life necessity!

    The Best Headphones EVER

I am blown away by my airpods. I have never been able to wear EarPods because i can't keep them in my ears. But the airpods stay in no matter what. I wear them at work, on the way to class, at the rec, and on my fixie (bike). I ran 7 sweaty miles on the treadmill with them on with no issues. I tried the beatsX before these and I think these have way more cool tech; the only good thing about the beats is that they isolate noise (not always a good thing).

The air pods are extremely great

I was so excited when the air pods came out but the price kept me back. But once I tried them for myself in store and my friends I was in love. They hurt my feelings when they said It would take 6 weeks (sad face). But they did not only took 4 weeks (happy face)Still a long time but I am so happy I waited. I love the way they connect with all my devices. And the soind is great. Only 1
Issue they are small as heck and can easily be lost. So make sure you be very careful
With them had them 2 days and already almost lost them taking my wallet out the case is really light. Other than that worth every dime better than the beats x. Trust me I tested both and they sound the same to me

    Extraordinary!

There are always going to be minor issues with the size of the product versus the size of ear canal; whether this or that person can run with them; will they fall out when you eat etc. TBH the pod fits perfectly in my right ear and slightly less so in my left. BUT THAT SAID this product is an extraordinary leap forward by Apple. Sound for movies etc on the iPad is great. Sound for Apple Music is superb and stereophonic to the extreme. And all of this ability carried around in a protective, chargeable capsule that you hardly know is in your pocket. I definitely recommend this product.

    Fantastic with fixable limitations.

Very impressed with this product. I have a lot of Bluetooth headphones. Some cheap-cheap. Some high-end. For the price, AirPods take the cake in terms of ease and sound quality, and battery life. Also, I know the fit isn't for everybody, but they fit great on me. I'm particularly impressed on how seamlessly you can go from stereo to mono. But... It's very lame that volume can't be manually controlled. It should be a given. I shouldn't be punished for not owning an Apple Watch.

However, overall: Great product for iPhone owners. It's not a necessity, but a very neat and fairly affordable extra.

    Great sound quality
    Seamlessly integrated
    Holds a great charge
    Charges very fast
Do not think that these are normal bluetooth headphones, these use a technology that is so much better and faster
