Disgraceful, Totally Not Fit For Purpose!

I am a massive Apple fan, but these just didn't work as advertised. The tracking function was set up in the store for me by a genius, however when I needed it (misplaced device) there was no way to see the last location, or lock them. I was skeptical for this exact reason and was proven right. Disappointed beyond belief, as the headphones were god quality - just the after care and supposed tracking that doesn't work!

The largest concern I had with buying this product was the aesthetic design of the AirPods, but within a week of using them I learned how to wear them without looking idiotic. Don't wear the AirPods as if they are wireless earbuds, but how they are supposed to be worn, like a bluetooth earpiece. Pointing the end straight down makes them stick out the side of your ear, while diagonal looks just fine. I think most people realize this, but I've noticed most people criticizing their design wear them in this awkward way.
Their bluetooth quality is much better than the earbuds, and I'd say comparable to most other wireless bluetooth brands. I've heard some people can tell the difference, but if you're a casual listener it will sound identical.
The charging method is slightly overcomplicated, but far better than typical wireless earphones. It's the standard lightning port you have on your iPhone. A charging pad and case (which Apple plans to release in the future) would completely solve the problem of charging.
And yes, it does look like you're carrying a dental floss wheel with you everywhere, but how would you design it differently if you were Apple? It looks fine.

Overall, the fact that the AirPods are completely independent from each other sold it to me. I'd highly recommend these to anyone annoyed of wires.

    The Case Is Great!

I have dropped my AirPods, in the case, so many times. Every single time I panic think they will be broken. However, they still work and nothing is wrong with them. So the case is very good quality. 10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend!

    Love concept hate exacution

I have owned this product for less than a year and they have broken three times each times the main speaker breaks earwax gets them and if you try to clean them out they will break. The blue tooth is also awful and disconnectes constantly. The only positive is the concept that’s it.

To get the best & loudest sound (which is not that loud) the Pods have to sit in the ear at an unusual angle. Unfortunately this position cannot be held very long and you are constantly trying to re-position them; and impossible to move without dislodging them. More work is needed before these can replace other wireless earphones. Kind of typical of Apple to go to market before they have been truly road-tested. I expect we early adopters will have to wait for the next version and cough up again. Nothing new there then.

    First Time

I love these headphones so much! I was kind of nervous because I typically can’t wear the normal headphones because they hurt my ears, however, these fit much more comfortably. I love the charging case as well! Sound is great! The only down side is that I wish that they would get a little louder. But they charge fast and are great!

I would recommend for anybody who likes the way the EarPods sound (even though the AirPods have a little bit better bass). The only time you should hesitate to buy these is if you exclusively listen to music on very loud environments. These don't cancel audio, which may seem bad at first but it kinda helps when someone calls out to you, or you wanna be aware of your surroundings when you are out on the streets.
Oh, and before you say they're too expensive, look at other truly wireless earphones such as the Jaybird Run, Yevo 1,Bragi Dash. The AirPods are actually the same price/cheaper than a lot of them, so yeah.

I’ll keep it brief: they’re really very good and I’ve not taken them out all day!
Fantastic! Why have they been so understated? Why did it take so long for me to buy them?
Thank you Tim. Brilliant. I love them!

    Audio adjustment should be integrated

if it include volume adjustment, that'd be excellent. In my opinion, the gesture it's gonna be: tap on both left and right, then tap right headphones as volume up, and tap left as the volume down.

    Just okay

The sound quality is inferior to Bose. I could deal with that, but the volume level is not high enough, and the sound is rather tinny. I'm 60 years old and not a person who needs or wants a huge bass sound. But the most irritating thing is even when fully charged they only last about 2 hours. So if you are on a flight that is longer than that...bummer for you. Found that out the hard way, unfortunately.

Almost immediately after the warranty ran out, they broke

For the price of these headphones, I'm extremely upset that they broke almost immediately after the warranty ran out. I referred all my friends to go out and get these headphones and they experienced issues with theirs as well. This included issues with the connectivity and sound. It's absolutely not to the standard that I expect from Apple. The replacement bud is $89 plus shipping which is already about 41% of the price I paid initially! I have no problem paying for headphones at the $219 price point but I expect much better quality than what I've gotten. I expected Apple to stand behind their product and they don't. I will definitely not be purchasing a replacement bud nor will I buy another pair of AirPods. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.

    Great Idea but Horrible fit

Works flawlessly but the fit cannot be customized at all. UNACCEPTABLE! The things fall out walking, eating or simply moving my head. Terrible implementation of fit. Potentially a fantastic product but the poor fit completely ruins its appeal to me.

    one of my best purchases

When I got the iPhone 7 I was like had to have that annoying extension for my head phones so it meant I couldn't charge my iPhone and listen to music at the same time, then I did some research into AirPods, then I decided to give them a go and purchase the head phones, I would have to say best purchase I have done, means I can play my AirPods on my MacBook Pro, iPod touch and my iPhone 7 no more tangled cored or head phones with cord breaking after 11 months, I would highly recommend it if you have these if you are an apple user feel free to watch your own youtube videos and reviews about AirPods but at the end of the day its peoples opinions but they do come with a warranty if they do break or something goes wrong with them

    Decent product

They are a bit on the expensive side. I dont think it is fully worth the price. They are a bit uncomfortable, but if you are adapted to earpods it wont change. Not the best sound cancelation, and if you are playing your music too louder than half volume people around you may hear your music. They keep a good charge, and as long as you take care of them you shouldnt have a problem with them. They are good in the way that they are completely wireless, but these are lacking in some aspect. Consider purchasing something cheaper and better sounding if you really want these.

Love the sound and Hate to connect between my iPad and iPhone.

I think they are a convenient headset that you could place in your pocket when you are not using them. They have great sound quality but you really can't use them in an airplane because they don't get loud enough. It was great to use one of them to talk on the phone and found that using just one while talking on the phone it started to die after about 1.5 hours but I could get my other ear piece and switched them without missing a beat.

The one thing I hated about the headphone was when I exercise I like to use my iPad and watch a show but when I wanted to use my iPhone later on it wouldn't connect back to my iPhone. I would have to restart the phone to get it reconnected and sometimes that didn't work the first time. I could understand if I was still using my iPad but it was turned off and put away for hours and it still wouldn't connect to the iPhone. I use other bluetooth devices and never had a problem reconnecting to my phone. Apple advertises that is it magic how easy it is to interchange between apple devices and that is not a true statement at all.

I am waiting for the next Generation of AirPods hoping they have fixed that problem and make them water proof. Then I will try them again but not before.

    Not a good product

Sound is decent. There’s like a lag between me turning down the volume and it actually happening. But the worse thing is they keep cutting off. No matter where my phone is at, my hands/ pockets it cuts off. You have to disconnect and connect again. I didn’t pay almost $200 for my headphones to always cut off. Don’t buy this product
