I have had these things for like 10 years and they have not malfunctioned once. They have had so much wear and tear, use by children, and they still work probably seven years later. Fantastic!

    Terrible Sound Quality

    • Written by Naomi M from Toronto

I bought this headphones like a few months ago so I can use them with my iPad. They were good at first and then started to lose its sound quality. I cleaned off the ear wax off with a soft tooth brush thinking it would go back to normal but that was not the case. Now the left side is quieter than the right side and it’s making me crazy. No matter how much I try to take care of it, the sound quality is not getting any better. I will never buy another pair until you fix the sound quality and make sure it is worth the forty dollars.

These are the best, high quality earbuds I ever owned. I accidentally dropped one earbud in my cereal bowl full of milk and it worked as good as ever even after that. Well made, very happy with these. Thanks

    holy moses they're bad

I've had 4(!) pairs of these, with light wear and use, and they've all died within 3 months of use. Absolutely pathetic manufacturing. Never buy another pair.

    Terrible Product, Highly Disappointed

    • Written by Manny C from Clarksville

I am an avid Apple user and like to believe that most apple products are reliable and durable. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the headphones. Please do not buy them at all. On the bright side, but still in disgust, is that they came with the new phone we purchased. I rarely used the headphones and still, they barely lasted over six months. What a total failure and disgrace. I am starting to lose faith in the future and products that Apple produces. Being on a deployment overseas and having the headphones break mid-conversation with my family back home is an absolute embarrassment. Purchasing another set would take nearly a month to receive, please stay away..

The best earbuds I have ever used

    • Written by Princess C from Cupertino

Cons: These are not noise-canceling, so if you want noise-canceling ones, buy something else.

Pros: Despite what others say, my current (and only) pair have been through the washer 3 times, still works perfectly, perfect sound quality. There is no issue with one of the earbuds being a little louder than the other, and ruining the stereo field. Absolutely no issue with that, even after putting them through the washer/dryer 3 times. They are very comfortable to put in my ears and don't fall out. I can put them in my ears after I go diving (with water still in my ears). I feel a little uncomfortable doing so, as I think I will break the things. The place where the wire attaches to the plug threatens to loosen up at any moment, but still, I will accidentally pull on it, and nothing happens. These earbuds have worked fine through all of this abuse I have accidentally put them through.

    My conclusion: worth the money!

    My Honest review

    • Written by Alex K from Thiruvananthapuram

The old school 3.5 mm earpods still holds up to compete with the other third party vendors. I received this champ along with my SE.
I was not an avid fan of this ‘budless’ type but, these headphones are perfectly designed to fit in your ear. I did not experience any form of ache even after hours of use.
Although, you will have to compromise with certain aspects if you are deciding to buy it, particularly ‘noise cancellation’. If the volume is loud enough, those sounds can be heard to the outsiders other than the listener.
If you are looking for rich bass, quality and durability, definitely go for it. You won’t regret your decision. I have been using the same earpods for past 2 years, ever since I received my iPhone SE

    Wish you the best

I've had these earphones for eight months but the silicon covering the wire has peeled off, the bit that plugs into the phone is very loose and comes out easily and the volume sometimes cuts out or starts up deafeningly loud. Quite disappointed because my old earphones worked for over two years. Honestly, these shoddy products are probably part of a larger ploy to get us all to buy ridiculously expensive airpods. Would recommend getting another cheaper brand to be honest.

Usually the left earbud goes out but I use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and rub it on the grill of the ear bud to clean out the wax and after wait for a couple of minutes and it’s good to go.

    Not worth the price.

    • Written by Alayna C from Franklin

I have went through at lest 7 iphone headphones in the last few years because one of the speakers goes out. These are NOT worth $30, they worth at the most $15. So not worth it. You need better quality headphones. Tired of spending $30 on headphones when they just break in the next few months. I just got my headphones with my new phone in May and one speaker is already out. i don’t even listen to my music loud. i’m just so sick of it.

    lasts long(ish) for low-midrange earphones

    • Written by Reina T from Singapore

I don't know why, but I have the worst luck with earphones. I've spent $10 - $200 on a variety of earphone brands and types, and they never last more than 4 months. I don't abuse them, and I try my best to treat them kindly but no matter what I do, they end up beyond repair by their 4th month.

These earpods made it to the 6th month mark before they died.

6 months is better than 4 months for me, so I'm rating them as above average.

Don’t buy unless you want to spend lots of money

    • Written by Sofia M from Santa ana

I can’t believe how these are considering it is an apple product. I got these for 30 dollars and they only last about 6 months. I’ve have at least 4 EarPods that have broken or stop working in a small amount of time. And I’m sure it’s not me that breaks them I take good care of them I don’t really tangle them or do anything that would cause them to stop working. The ones I’m currently using the box on the right earbud were you could pause, turn up and down volume has stopped working and I only bought them in March also I’m starting to hear bits of static and Siri starts turning on and my music keeps pausing. I remember once buying cheap $5 earbuds and they lasted long and good(my mom vacuumed them by accident )and they were much better. I do not recommend these unless you want to constantly buy them. I wish I could get refunds. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND .

    Most uncomfortable and least noise-canceling

    • Written by Isabella S from Fairfax

The old design with silicon buds was way more comfortable and noise-canceling. This design doesn’t fit well in ANYONES ear, the shape is odd and painful. Whoever decided to change the design is a moron. I never use these, and I recommend buying a more comfortable earbud and use a dongle, if necessary. I rather use no earbuds than use these pieces of .Bring back the other design, at least as an option because I swear it will do better than this design.

    Built to break

    • Written by Trey D from Provo

I go through these earbuds like toilet paper, I don’t fling them around, I don’t step on them, they just decide to stop working after six months. I’m righting this review literally ten minutes after the left earbud stopped working. The only reason I keep getting them is because they’re the only cheaper earbuds you can look good using. I’m pretty sure they just don’t care about the manufacturing of their earbuds anymore because they just want you to get AirPods that don’t break like these ones because they don’t have the flimsy wire. But I’m not gonna spend $200 on some plastic overpriced garbage that I’m probably just gonna lose at a party.

    Bad Review

    • Written by Sophie D from Sheffield

The first time I bought these they packed up after 3 months. And then when I swapped them for a new pair they broke again after a few months. The sound quality is brilliant at first but then after a while it gets quieter, and quieter. And now mine have just broke again the sound quality is terrible and you have to twist the bit that goes into your phone just to get decent sound, and because it’s just a few months past my 1 year garuente I can’t change them for a new pair. They are deffinatly not worth the money.

Two failed sets on one year. Absolutly dissapointed. Zero stars!

    • Written by Cristian M from Coquitlam

For one set the shell split in two from the weld. No sign of abuse.
For the second pair, the jack failed. Pulled the jack from the plastic (not from the cable) the metal part of the jack remained in the phone, The plastic still strongly attached to the cable. How is that possible. Apple won't replace either one. I guess I'm done with Apple accessories.
