    don't buy it

The headphone works fine for only about 3 month. After that i have experienced consistent interruption when listening musics on my mac book. This interruption happens like 1-2 times every hour. it's not worth $200

    Wireless Beats

my second pair of beats just broke in the exact same place - out of warranty so i am out of luck. great to run with since they stay in, but a very short shelf life - not worth the price since the entire bud breaks off for no reason (I don't run that often)

GAR-BAGE!! So disappointed. 1 Star for sound, that's about it! SAVE YOUR $

3 months????! 2 days was the usage I got out of them. Apple, how do you make a headphone for working out that literally can't handle working out??! I used the Powerbeats 3 wireless for 2 workouts and the bluetooth controls stopped functioning. I suspect it's due to the sweat, which was honestly a DROP from my neck onto the control buttons. The same thing happened with my BeatsX, however I didn't know that they weren't sweat resistant. Got a BeatsX replacement from apple, so thanks for that. But that was the whole reason I bought the Powerbeats 3; so that they could withstand a great workout. The only good thing about them is the sound. They sound great, no doubt. But that's all. It's like buying a Ferrari that can't be driven or it'll break down after hitting 65. Listen people, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! I can't express that enough. Luckily I was able to take mine back to the store I bought it from. Got my $200 back and spent $42 on another "not well known" brand of bluetooth IpX5 water/sweat resistant earbuds. They sound actually pretty good. Not as good as the Powerbeats, but sh%# I'll sacrifice the sound to get a good pair of earbuds that can actually do what they're meant to do. Last time I buy beats from you guys. You lost me.

    Stopped working after running

Awful product. I returned 3 different pairs for charging, music scrolling issue, volume issues, no sound through mic on phone call, static in speaker. Just a bad product.

Great Headphones - Wireless could be ever so slightly improved :)

Really great set of headphones with really good battery life. Excellent punchy bass and clear, crisp sound quality. The only thing I could fault at a push is the Bluetooth connection between the device your music is on (e.g: iPad, iPod, iPhone) and the headphones themselves. When biking or running the Bluetooth connection can cut out intermittently if the phone is pressed up against your pocket for example. Apart from that I cannot fault these earphones as they work seamlessly and provide excellent sound quality. Would recommend.

    Worst headphones EVER, complete rip-off

I had to have these replaced 3 times, 3 TIMES, and I only use these maybe once a week at the most. The microphone piece fell off 2 of them, all of them would stop charging at some point, and 2 of them wouldn't turn off so ran out of the charge after each use. Could not feel more taken advantage of by this product with this insane pricepoint for what you get. Save your money, go to Amazon, search for wireless headsets, and spend $20 for a better product. If I could give this no stars I would

Surprisingly good for bluetooth in earphones

I wanted an earphone that would be good for both gym and walking and the Powerbeats 3 are comfortable and usually remain in position what ever the activity. They are comfortable for my ears too.

I have read different reviews of these and many other phones and notice that there is a very wide range of performance assessment. I listen to EDM and mostly Techno. The bass response is good, the mid's uncluttered and the hi's are clear and crisp without being shrill.

Perhaps the problem is the file quality of the music being listen to that determines the response. Most streamed music and downloaded mixes are very low bit rate mp3s. I notice that 128Kbps or lower certain takes the shine off these earphones but with 320 they start to wake up.

I DJ and only use AIFF which are uncompressed files and similar to Wav. Those unmixed tracks that I store on my iPhone in the original uncompressed state make these earphones come alive!

So the old adage of 'rubbish in. rubbish out' may well apply to earphones too.

    Not great

They claim to be sweat resistant for "heavy training." They are not. I am now on my third pair. Apple keeps replacing them for free but I am about ready to give up. They fit great and sound great but just don't last! The first pair lasted four months. The second pair for two months.

Wanted to like them but couldn't

I have had a rough time finding bluetooth earbuds that would stay in my right ear. I thought I had finally found the solution with the beats. My son has a set of second generation that I tried before buying these and was looking forward to the third generation. I got less than three uses out of them before I started experiencing connection issues. Having to take your phone out of your pocket to re-connect to the earbuds after every song is more cumbersome than a wire. I will be returning these and trying a different brand. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT, especially for the price.

    Beats 3 earphones

These earphones are the worst. Waste of money. I got 2 pairs in less than 5 months and both just stopped working and never came back on. Would not recommend.

The worst earphones I ever had!

I bought this device and works just fine for about 3 uses and then just get damaged, the cable control just get crazy and never go back to normal again. I went to the store and in two weeks I got another one and it happens the same. Just do not buy it or you are going to loose your money. I am so desapointed with Apple and Beats for still selling it.

BAD!!! WORST EARPHONES BY FAR!! DON'T!! BUY! 0-STARS!

    FUNCTION:
These earphones are meant for workout and gym , they betrayed me within a couple of weeks at the gym. They switch off halfway of my workout routine and refuse to turn on for the next half of the day!! The lady at the chatroom called the situation ''ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS'' , so I guess she meant that they are NOT meant for workout sessions at the gym.

    PRICE:
The price for those earphones is utterly ridiculous for the quality and experience they give you. I would not pay more than £20 for those. In fact I had some cheaper ones from Amazon for much less and the sound ,quality and durability was much higher level than those ones here.

    SOUND:
DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SOUND!! Very poor sound quality , they will not give you the 'kick' that you need at gym.

    DESIGN:
Rather ok design, they look ok , fit ok, however once you sweat they will be stuck on your neck and pull off your ear with a small move.

REGRET BUYING IT !!! DON'T BUY IT! WASTE OF MONEY!!

    WORST EARPHONES ON THE MARKET

This is ABSURD. That is the perfect word to describe this product. I have had let alone around 8 Pairs. EIGHT. I bought 3 new ones and the other ones were given to me by apple because they could not repair the ones that were damaged. Each one last around 3 months. I workout with them and its always something with the sweat. After numerous of times going to the apple store and having to deal with this problem. This was the last pair I bought, they lady working at the store told me "I'm going to be transparent with you, a lot of people come back to return them because they have problems with the sweat." So i told her yea let me give it one last try, maybe it was a bad batch or bad luck I don't know. But rest assure I bought my third pair and within a week and a half the buttons did not work. I love apple and I love these headphones. but its unprofessional and unethical for apple to be promoting these headphones to be water and sweat proof when they are not. Just be truthful and state that they are not meant for water or liquids, thats it end of story, but don't give people false information. That is why mostly I am writing this review. I have never ever in my life written one, but I am sorry for gods sakes man this is ridiculous. You should NOT , buy these earphones until apple figures out what to do. Tim should be aware of these issue, because this is Apple not some mom and pop earphone maker.

Need to Beef up Sweat/Water Resistance/Proof

I bought these to accompany my Nike+ Apple Watch thinking that they would withstand heavy sweating during intense workouts (running & cycling). After 3 months of use, the control and power buttons are no longer responsive/working. I am very disappointed to say the least. For this reason alone, it gets a 2-star rating from me. But here are my takes on other features of this Powerbeat3 Wireless Earphones:

    1. Comfort level - 4/5. It took me some times to getting used to these but once you made adjustments (ear loops and isolation buds), they are comfortable. The over-the-ear loops and around-the-neck cord offer additional comfort and security that these won't slip out and lost on you.

    2. Sound quality - 3.5/5. Having owned many earphones (Bose, Shure, Beats, etc.) and being a DJ, I have keen ears for sound quality and know what it takes for a good set of earphones. While sound output is relatively low when they are well isolated in comparison to other earphones, they are sufficient for a decent listening experience. When they are well isolated, the sound is very warm and not necessary bass punchy like the Bose's. Generally, they have good responsive range with the focus on mid-range clarity. However, these tend to slip out of your ears during intense workout and you could lose isolation and the output level become very low.

    3. Battery life - 5/5. I never had any battery issues or ran out of power for the 3 months I had. I like the 5 mins charge for 1 hour use feature even though I never had to use it because a full charge can last it pretty long. If I am no mistaken, it takes less than 2 hours for a full charge.

    4. Build quality - 1/5. The real issues I stated above, that the control and power buttons are no longer working after 3 months of use due to heavy sweating. These need to be built with waterproof in mind in order to improve for the next generation Powerbeat3 earphones. Material wise, these are great. But functionality wise they need improvement; especially in areas where water can seeps in and renders them malfunctioned.

It's my first set of wireless earphones and was willing to gamble on the price. In retro-perspective, they are too expensive.

So here is my advice: if you are a heavy sweater like I am, trying something else with better waterproofing feature. Otherwise, give this a shot if price is not an issue to you. You might like it a lot more than I do.

Pairs nicely, Sound good, but cannot update

I like the build quality of these earphones, the seamless bluetooth pairing, and the sound. The only issue I have is I cannot perform a firmware update. The cable and earphones are not being pickup up by the Beats updater software. Not a total showstopper, as they work well when running and walking.

Also blocks out background noise too.

    Don't waste your money

Powerbeats 3 are a big disappointment, they only work well the first two months. After the two months you will start experiencing problems. I bought this earphones because they were promoted to be used during workouts and is the only time I used them. After two months they will start turning off by themselves, 15 minutes into the workout and I have no music. I have to take two pairs of headphones to gym, so I can listen to music once this headphones stop working. I'm currently on my second pair after getting the first pair exchanged when they stop working and I'm about to go back and return theses too. It's really disappointing to spend $200 for some headphones that don't work after two months. The worst part is that the Apple store won't return my money and I just have to continue this cycle. Don't waste your money on this headphones and safe yourself from the headache.

    Don't get

Save your 200 dollars and buy a different pair. My power beats wireless 1 works 100 times better then my power beats wireless 3. I get constant problems with the third generation ones, leaving me with no music in the gym or on runs.
