    Love it

I purchased this case in January because I wanted something convenient to keep cash and a few cards in. I decided to try this one since I love how Apple Leather cases feel. I was pleasantly surprised!! I appreciate the fact that the cover is floppy because it allows me access to my metrocard, cash, and credit cards quickly. Plus it makes picture taking really easy and I can maneuver the cover with one hand when I need it open. The leather feels amazing, and the case protected my phone very well when I dropped it. The back has a few dings on it but that’s it. The pockets haven’t stretched out one bit and the patina is really nice. I also love how you can make a call with the cover closed. This is a great case and I plan on getting the Electric Blue, Soft Pink, or Taupe. Maybe all three!

    Not worth it

I've bought and tested this case, and let me tell you that there are plenty of cases for your phone that are far cheaper than this. Do I need to really tell you that it's not worth it?

The build quality is excellent, but the price.
The functionality is brilliant, but the price.
The aesthetic is simple and works well, but the price.

In the end it all comes down to the price so if you want to waste your money you are more than welcome to do so!

Cute but not what I expected

The case is cute but the magnet doesn't work. The case doesn’t close on my phone the whole way.

    Stylish and secure

My new iPhone X is safely protected and I love how it wakes up the phone when the cover is opened, puts it to sleep when closed. One downside is remembering to hold cover back completely and securely when picture taking, other leather is good grade and not heavy, I love it.

    Highly recommended

This is a nice looking, well made, premium leather product for iPhone X.
Minor drawback is it disconnects from calls if cover is closed.
Guess the best workaround is to have calls with speakerphone on.
Certainly look forward to an update that will allow calls/answer without having to flip open the case cover.

Have long wanted a case for my phone like the one I have on my iPad that shuts it down when closed and like has been available for Samsung phones for a while. Very disappointing that callers all complain I sound muffled. Given the point of a phone is to make calls this is a big negative

folio cover results in muffled outgoing sound on phone calls

Apple, please look at this! There are numerous reports of this problem on the discussion boards. I even returned my iPhone X to the store for a new one, which, of course, had exactly the same problem. Yes, it really is the folio case cover, I know, hard to believe, but 100% reproducible. And it's trivial to demo: Just open the folio cover like you normally would to use the phone, and make a phone call. The person you're calling will hear noticeably muffled sound; now, simply release the cover, letting it flop open to the side, so it's not overlapping the rear of the phone; the callee will now hear noticeably improved sound. The cover appears to be interfering with the noise canceling aspect of the microphone on the rear.

It's probably reasonable to assume this is not specific to the Apple case, but would likely occur with any folio style case. I otherwise really like this case a lot, so much so, that I plan on keeping it anyway, and simply let the cover hang open when making calls; yes, it's a bit annoying, but I rarely use my iPhone to make calls, so I'm willing to deal with it. If you make a lot of phone calls, you will probably want a different style case. I'm also hoping Apple can fix this in software, but first, they have to be made aware of the problem.
