    Noise canceling? Not!!!

    • Written by Luis M

I have bought many apple products, I know these are “beats by DR. Dre”. But, there are owned by apple. And in my opinion any apple product belongs in the trash. I was excited to buy a pair of these since beats have been a trend for a while “the cool thing to have”. The buttons on the side is so freaking loud wether you are wearing them (high volume) of not! The battery life is very bad it doesn’t last as long as it says it does. They are also very uncomfortable! I prefer Bose or JBL over beats or any apple product!

    Much better headphones out there

    • Written by B G

£300 for headphones that do not go louder than the room around me. The worst element for me is that they still need battery to use them with the wire?? I find that utterly bizarre. If `I have battery I'm using them wirelessly! Really disappointed with them, £300 down the drain, buy other headphones.

    Great headphones

    • Written by Colin D from Shipley

    Pros
    Headphones sound great
the Noise cancelling is brilliant, it almost silences the noisy office that I work in.
They're comfortable to wear all day.

    Cons
The case needs more work. There is nowhere to store the charging and external cables that come with the headphones. Apples workaround is to jam them in under the headband, but that's a squeese and for the standards of apples products I'm surprised that this hasn't been thought through better. I would much prefer to have a separate pocket to keep these cables in.

    Future ideas
I've made a small modification to my headphones. The charging port is the micro-USB that comes on alot of devices. To help my headphones last longer, rather than using the included USB Charge cable, I'd found a 3rd party MagSafe style USB Charging cable. Since MagSafe was an Apple invention in the first place, it would be fantastic to see something like this build into the headphones as it will relieve stress on the charging port. I'm saying this, as I love my Beats Studio3 and want them to last as long as possible.

love them! connect effortlessly, lasts for ages.

    • Written by david Q from nsw

Premium headphones, premium sound. The noise cancelling isn't as good as Bose's top of the line noise cancelling but it's pretty good. sound quality is awesome, very comfortable although as with all my over the ear headphones after about 2 hours I need to take them off as I tend to get a sore jaw. These connect as easily and work just as well as the apples AirPods. instant connection, super easy to swap between devices, no cutting out. Also they connect with my LG TV which many of my other bluetooth headphones don't. They are a premium plush headphone so not having bought Beats before I haven't really associated them with the gym. I know others say they wear them at the gym and they break easily but these would be the last things I'd wear at the gym, they're just not made for that environment. I've had mine for 6 months without any issues. The battery lasts ages - I wear them for hours everyday and probably charge them about once every 2 weeks. Others have said there's issues when it's cold - I'm yet to take them out in below 10 degrees so I can't comment on that. Overall I'm super happy with these, love everything about them and would definitely recommend to others.

don't buy if you want to use outdoors

    • Written by ob L

Apple states it will work for 3 hrs+. And it will as long as you don't what to use them outdoors. If you do, the battery fails if it gets a bit cold. I have experienced as low as 10 minutes. Before you buy you should apparently telepathically know to check this page https://www.beatsbydre.com/headphones/studio3-wireless before buying (scroll to bottom to see reviews), because according to apple if you store or charge them wrong, the battery won't last. What they don't mention is that if you store & charge them right but then want to use them outdoors, the battery will deplete in a record amount of time & within .5 hours of being outdoors, the battery will die.

    Nonstop

Ok, so I’m not one to write reviews but I felt the need to stress my dissatisfaction with this company. I have been a user for almost 5 years and I have gone though a total of 7 pairs, 4 Powerbeats, and 3 solos. These headphones are downright awful!! I’ve had to send pair after pair in multiple times for repairs because they are made so poorly. I’m heavily involved with fitness which is their primary use, and they continue to fail me. I just sent in my Powerbeats 3 because the earpiece detached from the headphone and this is 3 months after I sent them in the first time for shorting out ( I assume from sweat) and they were replaced. As I sit here now my solo 3 is making a humming sound in my right ear, and I just bought these back in November as well for work. I believe in making things last so therefore I TAKE CARE of my stuff (putting them away correctly, wiping them down after use) but no matter what I do it doesn’t seem to work. For the $ and time I advise going with a different brand, this is the last time I ever buy a pair from this company. Thank you for taking my $ and wasting my time.

Do not buy Beats Studio 3!!!

    • Written by Amanda R

We bought our 13yr old son the new studio 3 wireless beats for Christmas. He had them a week before one ear speaker was Falling off. He is very good with his stuff, and even if he pulled them off his head by the ear it shouldn’t come off that easily!! He has the solo 2 headphones with no issue and the wireless ear buds, no issues, so we send them to Apple (after going to the store and being told “with no appt they wont even look at them and if a repair is needed they will ship it off anyways”). They send them back and say we have to pay $200 for accidental damage. After several reviews I have read, And a couple of his friend’s had the EXACT SAME issue with the speaker falling off an ear, I know this particular model is garbage. We will never buy beats again.

Very disappointed with the product for Canadian use outside

    • Written by Roberto F from Winnipeg

If you live in Canada and are thinking of using these outside for longer than 5 minutes — don't buy them. They are not made for our weather as they shut off below -0C. This is a massive issue as it is considered "expected behaviour".

They sound good — but not great — and the while the W1 chip is amazing for battery life and connectivity range, I absolutely regret buying these, especially at this price. They are comfortable but don't feel durable at all.

If you want W1, get AirPods, if you need over-ear, look elsewhere.

Great product, expensive, doesn't work in cold

    • Written by Matthew K

I use these everyday for a year + . Here are my pros and cons.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROS:.............................................................................................. -Comfortable, I could go the whole day without taking them off. I've read that people needed to "break them in" so that the headphone band would be looser. I have a smaller head. So it wasn't an issue. Even with glasses, I could wear them for hours ......................................................................................................................... - Sounds is good. I'm no audiophile, and I mainly listen to Hip-Hop/R&B. I use it mostly with the ANC on, and I'm quite satistied ........................................................................................................................ - ANC works well. During commutes to work, having the ANC has become almost essential now. You will still perceive the loud noises coming from a bus or subway train, but you won't hear people talking at all for example, if your volume is turned up loud enough. I'm young and careless, so most of the time I have the volume at max level ............................................................................................................................. - Battery last a long time, and is quite quick to charge, no complaints there. I charge them on average everyday 2-3 days. Can last longer if you have ANC off .............................................................................................................................. - Bluetooth range is ok, adequate for my use. Maybe 20-30m away and you would lose connection. Haven't really tested it. I currently used them with my Pixel 2 .................................................................................................... CONS:...................................................................................................................... - Main one, battery SHUTS OFF in the cold. I live in Canada, 1/4 of the year will be -15 degrees Celsius. No matter the battery level, after some time in the cold, they will power off, and can be powered back on once they have warmed up. I would not buy for that reason, or I would have alternative headphones for the winter ...................................................................................................................... - Connection issue. Sometimes the sound would cut off randomly. In that instances, I would simply power off then power back on the beats. My main device is a Pixel 2, but the issue was also common with my Nexus 6p ...................................................................................................................... - Cut off/clicks. It happens sometimes. I don't pay it much mind ................................................................................................................... TLDR: Good heaphones, expensive with some minor issues, DOES NOT WORK IN COLD WEATHER. Good for warm climates/summer weather.

Do I have to take them off

    • Written by Doug S

I have never been a fan of listening to music with headphones, mainly cause Bluetooth connectivity stinks and the comfort/sound is usually terrible until I got myself a X-mas present and got the Beast Studio 3 Skyline Collection on sale at Best Buy. These things totally ROCK!! they connected to my iPhone and Mac in a snap. They are so comfortable and sound amazing. My wife is going to have to pry them off my head :-) Thanks Beats and Apple!!

Pieces of S*** and so is the customer service

    • Written by Lorenzo S

These beats are garbage. The quality is too cheap for the price. The sound quality is decent but the frame and materials are very easily broken. Normal use of folding the Beats to put them in the case causes the arms to break. I paid the $200.00 repair price and was given refurbished Beats that broke within year. After calling to get a replacement for those I was told that I would need to pay another $200.00 because the warranty goes 1 year from the date of purchase of the original Beats you bought. So after owning them for 1 year your warranty expires. DO NOT buy this product! Excellent sound but horrible build quality.

Beats are not worth the cost.

    • Written by Sylvia G

If I could rate lower than 1 Star, I would! This is the second pair of beats I purchased and have had the same issue with them both. The headset breaks where the earphone part is supposed to bend. I have had these headphones for about a year and I can't believe Apple sells such poor quality products. I still have the box and the headphones literally look new. My son loves to use headphones to cancel out noise and listen to music. He is on the Autism spectrum and is very careful with his things. He is the kid that takes such good care of all his possessions. He has never broken any of his electronics (phones, games, etc) As a matter of fact he still had his original iPod that is over 10 years old. Obviously, to pay over $150 to get these fixed is beyond ridiculous. I can purchase Bose for about $200. I don't think we will be using Beats any longer.

    Unbelievable

    • Written by Ethan G

I rely on these headphones every single day. I use them on the bus, which I take almost eveyday. I use them when I am cleaning stuff up and I use them for alot of other things. These have lasted me forever and are very cheaply priced compared to how much I use them. If you were to put a price on each time I've worn them ITT would be close to 10 cents. If you are thinking about buying these then do it now you will not regret. Thank you for taking music to the next level!!!!

    Satisfied

    • Written by Riley S

I got a pair of these great headphones about two month ago. Before that, I used a a cheap pair of JVCs, but they did their job. The Studio3's are very comfortable, so after a while when I had gotten used to them I tried my old pair again and it was almost painful. I really like the noise-cancelling, as well as the audio, even though people say it could be better. The fact that it can be used with an audio jack as well as bluetooth is very practical with older devices. One thing I would change is the carrying case, which does not have a pocket for the wires, unlike the Solo3. I also think it's a little overpriced. It has a good battery life and charges fast.
