    Vastly Improved audio

    • Written by Jason T from Tucson

This is my 3rd pair of beats studio over-ears. I like technology, what can I say. I just got these today and tried a few different types of music. There are no cosmetic differences from what I can tell, but the audio (to me) is noticeably different. Much clearer and the switching between my iWatch and iPhone is seamless. Before it required turning them off and on and other unpairing/pairing options. I can't say if the one thing that has plagued my other two pairs has been fixed or not: The hinge. I take care of my electronics and they get charged every night, but gym use takes its toll. I've replaced the headband on the other pairs so many times that I lost count. Time will tell. These are expensive, even for a techie like me, but I don't buy them for the name. I like the bluetooth connectivity, the clear audio, and the noise cancelling. The over-ear works for me for comfort so to each his own. Whatever they did inside more than makes up for what they didn't on the outside. I would have liked to see a lightning or USB-C charging port, but hey maybe for Studio4.

    Incredible Headphones

    • Written by Jonathan M from Argyle

These headphones sound amazing and the noise canceling is impressive. The design is flawless. Also, the range of the headphones is considerably better than that of other bluetooth headphones I have used. Highly recommend the product.

    A Headphone for Bass Lovers

    • Written by Brendan B from Toronto

Honestly, I'd say the studio 3.0 is well worth it, a great upgrade. I've been testing what I can do with these headphones. I left my house with my phone inside, still connected. Great range. The ear foam is so much softer than the older editions, not to mention that the ear pads also move to accommodate headsize (they move a by up and down, it doesn't squeeze as much on your head as older studios). The noise cancelling is honestly top class, I'm currently listening to music on exactly half volume and I can't hear myself singing. The music isn't blasting in my ears. Last but not least, sound quality is the best I've experienced with any headphone so far. You can really hear the background detail in music you may not have heard before. The case is stylish, you get one mic audio cord, the clip for the case and a charging wire. My only issue with these is that you don't get a charging adapter, only the charging wire. All in all, the best wireless headphone I've experienced.

    Simply amazing

    • Written by Amit K from Cupertino

I've had Bose over-ear QC headphones for quite some time and was initially skeptical about these being good. But I have to say, these are really good in delivering an amazingly rich sound quality experience. The base is perfect as is the treble, unlike other Beats headphones. The seamless integration just like AirPods make these really the best wireless headphones in the market. Have just 3 words for you - "Just try them"

    Outstanding quality!

    • Written by Grant M

Super happy with my new beats studio3. Amazing sound quality and the noise cancellation works well to block out the variety of noise London life throws at you. Battery life is superb too, lasting me well over 3-4 days of medium usage. Overall a premium product that justifies its price tag.

    Better than Bose

    • Written by Lasse Hammer P from Brabrand

I already owned the Bose QC35 when getting these, so here is my comparison between the two:

    - The Beats offer far greater wireless range and stability along with easier pairing and switching between devices.
    - They both have similar battery life with ANC turned on (~20 hours) but the beats offer 20 additional hours with ANC off.
    - The sound profile is different between the two, but they both sound great.
    - The ANC is good on both headphones. In my experience the QC35's ANC is eliminating more noise immediately
after being turned on, while the Beats ANC is supposed to be adaptive.
    - They both have similar controls on the headset but Beats also allow you to toggle ANC on and off.
    - You configure the Bose headphones through an app. The Beats are completely integrated with iOS like the AirPods.
    - Both have similar build quality. The Beats look better but The QC35's offer slightly better comfort. I noticed some ear/top of head pressure with the Beats.

In short: I prefer the Beats.

    Excellent Headphones in All Conditions

    • Written by Harris B from Champaign

I lost a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones and ordered these to see what Apple/Beats could do in comparison. They arrived just in time for a trip from central Illinois to Europe. During this time I was on a luxury coach/bus for 2.5 hours to O'Hare airport, a 7.5 hour flight to Europe and of course the same duration flight back, as well as a 2.5 hour train ride coming and going. One of the hotels that I stayed in placed me on a street side room with large windows and a terrace and there was a festival going on, so there was quite a bit of noise during the day/early evening.

Overall, these headphones work exactly as advertised. They very effectively muted the noise on the airplane flights and the train trips, and the music playback was better than I have experienced using Bose noise-cancellation headphones. These headphones don't artificially increase the bass, as do many Beats headphones--instead the bass response is much more accurate than what one normally experiences using other Beats models, which is why I've always avoided them.

I also noticed that, over time, any style of music I played (and because I have very diverse taste I listen to a very wide variety of musical genres) gained incredibly explicit separation. The separation was not just left-right. Instead I could hear different types of instrument showing up in different "locations" of the musical space that these headphones create. This really amazed me and I love it to this day.

I have a rather large head and jughead ears that stick out, and I experienced no discomfort at all during either of the 7.5 hour flights, during which I wore the headphones, adjusted to give a very close fit, the entire time. They are very comfortable. In fact, I slept while wearing them with the noise cancellation turned on, without any music playing, and they didn't bother my sleep on the plane, at all.

One point: The noise cancellation is different from that found on Bose headphones. Because of that, the outside noise that these let through differ from what is let in by Bose headphones. So, don't expect an identical experience. However, the amount of noise cancellation appears to be about the same, in my opinion.

Final Judgement: Worth every penny I paid. I use them regularly even when I don't travel and this tells me that they are the real deal.

    An overall fantastic product

    • Written by CHAD K from Portland

    Pros unique to Studio3:
⁃ I’ve owned many Apple products over the decades, but this is my first Beats product. It feels very Apple-like in the best of ways.
⁃ Love the sleek, simple & compact design. Good fit & finish. Plastic has a high-quality feel. Packaging is stunning. Nice carrying case w/ near waterproof zipper.
    ⁃ Light & comfortable, although, break-in required.
⁃ Flawless setup & Apple device integration. It’s just so quick & easy to bounce from device to device.
⁃ Efficient buttons, LEDs & interface.
⁃ Fantastic autotune for ambient noise levels & audio type improves overall listening experience. Brief delay w/ first power, change ambient conditions, or change the style of music, then sound comes into clarity.

    Pros common to similar products:
⁃ I no longer need volume to overcome ambient noise or poor balance, which has allowed volume drop & hearing protection.
⁃ While I prefer in-ear, the over-ear style has better battery life, along with better noise cancelling & audio quality performance.

    Cons unique to Studio3:
⁃ It is pretty tough to tell the left from right based on design & makings. The power button is the only indicator for orientation under dim, dark or other setting where you don’t want to have to look for the small grey “L” or “R” markings on the dark grey finish.

    Cons common to similar products:
⁃ Not-so-good new product off-gassing. Hoping it will rapidly dissipate, but it is definitely noticeable since the headphones are right next to your nose.
⁃ A Lightning or USB-C connection would have been nice to avoid having one more cord on the desk and having to bring another cord when traveling, but it’s a Beats product instead of an Apple product so makes sense.
⁃ I do not enjoy using over-ear for phone calls, but that might be more of a personal preference.

Amazing sound and excellent noise cancelling

    • Written by Keir S from Salina

I purchased these recently and have been quite happy thus far. I bought them to listen to music while hitting golf balls and mowing, quite the range of expectations.....: ) Their noise cancelling is amazing as I can mow and listen to music with my music at a low volume. This is a dramatic change from my ear buds and my iphone as loud as possible and making out every 4th word.
They also stay in place well and feel firm on your head but not too tight. I also use them when hitting golf balls at the range and have been very happy with the fit. Overall very satisfied w/ the purchase!

    No distractions, just music

    • Written by Scott B from Newcastle Under Lyme

I listen to music on mainly two occasions, one when traveling, (train, plane etc), and when I need to focus on my work without any outside distractions. These headphone cut out all train noise, all passenger noise and allow you to listen to your favourite music without any interuptions. You can hear every note and beat. Perfect for music lovers.

The noise cancelling is that strong I can be work in a busy coffee shop and feel completely alone.

Summary: If you like music or want to cut out external noise from the life, these are the headphones for you.

High price tag, new "Flava", new engine

    • Written by Mark K from Darien

At $350 USD, the Beats Studio3 is still expensive, but don't rule it out because of the price tag--Apple's been working VERY HARD to ensure that the features warrant the price tag. First you can now listen with or without the revised Beats Studio ANC, though your ears need to get used to the new "Flava", which is a plus for Beats loyalists aching for this feature for a long time. Siri convenience for iOS users is a plus. Wired or wireless, the choice is yours (with the included wire). Soundwise, it's hard to say whether wired or wireless, With or without ANC is better--audio is subjective nowadays. On my wish list is auto-off and Apple Lightning instead of Micro USB (major flaw). Bottom line is that 40 hours without Pure ANC (22 Hours with Pure ANC) you get what you pay for with Beats Studio3 Wireless. Ton of "Flava" but you have lots of options from out of the box.

Buying these headphones was a huge stretch for my budget. The reviews were mixed so I decided I’d try them for myself. I am so happy with them. The headphones are comfortable and the sound is amazing. I connect with Bluetooth when watching a movie on my Fire TV, every sound is precise. Easy to control volume and pause. Even tho it’s early, I have the best Christmas present ever!

Other Bluetooth headphones would start to break up in my kitchen (less than 50 feet). I am able to listen to music playing on my MacBook Pro sitting on my desk and I was across the street picking up my mail. So happy.

    • Written by Benjamin N from Savoy

At first I thought Bose would be much better than the new beats studio 3. But then I ended up buying them. Immediately I compared them to my Bose and immediately thought the beats were 10 times better than the Bose. The studio 3 wireless have exceptional sound and are great with noise canceling. Also it it only takes about an hour to charge. An easy 5 stars

    Overall Great Headphones

    • Written by Rohin J from Ridgewood

Bought a pair of Studio 3's at the Apple Store earlier today, and I am quite happy with the headphones. They are comfortable and the noise cancellation works great. I can walk around the house without my phone and keep music playing, and bluetooth connects quickly even between devices. It comes with a strong case and the audio quality is pronounced and overall great. Satisfied with these headphones and would recommend.
