    Noise canceling? Not!!!

    • Written by Luis M

I have bought many apple products, I know these are “beats by DR. Dre”. But, there are owned by apple. And in my opinion any apple product belongs in the trash. I was excited to buy a pair of these since beats have been a trend for a while “the cool thing to have”. The buttons on the side is so freaking loud wether you are wearing them (high volume) of not! The battery life is very bad it doesn’t last as long as it says it does. They are also very uncomfortable! I prefer Bose or JBL over beats or any apple product!

    Trash do not buy

These headphones are grossly over priced for the quality of the build and audio, my wonderful wife bought them for me and inside of a month the adhesive was wearing out and they literally fell apart. Trash do not buy

    So disappointing

    • Written by Jordan W from Bristol

Bought these headphones and within a few months of use one side wasn’t working. I tried to contact the company and they said I would have to pay out of pocket for repair. So I looked online to see what I could do to fix them. It wasn’t shocking to me that many other people have had this issue. They are known for scheduling their pieces to break so you have to buy the newest ones. Very disappointing

    Wow... just wow.

I bought them back in February the 19th. They are the most weakest and low quality headphones ever. The left & right sidebands broke very quick after 4 months of rare usage. Very disappointed.

    Worst headphones

    • Written by Jerry R from Dunedin

I bought these last year and they've broke not once but twice. The side bands are too weak and snap over time. I was simply collapsing them to pack and they snapped. Apple was "nice to me" on the phone and said they'd ship us a new pair for free. About 4 months go by and they snap YET AGAIN. If Apple does not ship them back for free I will never purchase a Beats product again. And if I were you I'd also go with a different set.

    So far, so good....

I just got my Beats 3 two days ago. They’re quite smart as regards the style, and the noise canceling is almost dangerous! I didn’t even hear my husband approach until he was only 10 feet away. I’m taking to heart the hinge and headband complaints in other reviews and will handle with greatest care! If these Beats break quickly, I shall update this. As they were free, I can’t complain about the cost. They came with my Mac notebook.

    Bad Quality for the price!

    • Written by Michael H from Cincinnati

Just after a year and the warranty is gone, my very expensive Beats headphones snap at the hinge. This is the last Beats product I will ever buy. I bought a pair of ther “cheaper” headphones only for them to fall apart, and now this. Never again!

    not worth the money

    • Written by Ellen D

I have had two pairs of these headphones in the part three years. They both died unexpectedly and nothing would turn them back on. I emailed customer support to see how to fix them, and they said I would have to send them in to get repaired... for $100. At that rate, you might as well buy new headphones. I loved that these headphones were noise cancelling, but I would not recommend. Not worth the money, especially when you get zero help in return from customer care!

Cheap and poor quality. Not durable or ideal for use longterm.

    • Written by Sumeya S from Toronto

I spent $300 on these headphones, and they broke within a few months of using them. The material used to make the product is very cheap and flimsy. It is not convenient to use when making or receiving calls, as the person you are speaking to will not be able to hear you. When I contacted support, they weren't much help, and said I'd have to purchase repairs (i.e., there was a crack on the side, which btw was not caused by careless use). They wouldn't do anything about the fact that I couldn't use them to make calls. Overall, the product is not at all worth the money, and I do not recommend wasting your money on Apple products.

    Better than Bose.

    • Written by Ameer Ali O

I switched from the Bose QC35 mainly because Beats had the W1 chip. The Beats Studio 3’s have: - Better sound quality (though subjective to what genre of music your listening to) - More reliable, faster connection, iCloud so device switching is easy. - Better packaging. - The best looking headphones on the market - ANC is amazing, the best I’ve heard. I live in London and take the noisy tube, I can’t hear a thing! - Siri with one press down - Seamlessly integrated Touch controls on outer earcup (better placed than Bose) - Comfortable - High quality case - Fast Fuel Charging - Amazing Battery Life I have one main issue though. Why is there no Beats Fast Fuel Charger adapter, let alone any adapter. There is no excuse, not for the price. The product should also have a Lightning or USB-C port. The next version should include a USB-C adapter and a cable that’s either USB-C to Lightning or USB-C to USB-C. I just want something that’s irreversible.

    Beats Studio3 break easily

    • Written by Denise H

After 4 months of minimal use, the hinge on the headphones broke. Sent in for repair under warranty, however, they will look for any reason possible not to cover the repair. The ‘replacement’ cost offered was $70 more expensive then what I could have purchased them for at the DrDre website!! Customer service was a complete waste of time!! Poor quality product!

Do not by Beats Studio3! They break easily!!

    • Written by Denise H from St Joseph

After 4 months of minimal use, the Beats Sudio3 Wireless headphones snapped at the hinge. Contacted customer service and sent them in for repair. They will look for any reason not to cover the repair!! If you call to talk to customer service, they will do nothing to help you resolve the issue, they will only waste your time!! Their ‘replacement’ cost was $70 higher than what you could buy the same product for on the DrDre website - what a joke!!! This product was such a disappointment and the customer service was so dismal, I will not buy another Apple product again:(

After splurging over A$400 on a decent set of headphones, I find the headband to be nothing more than cheap plastic. I look after these knowing that I can't afford to purchase another set anytime soon as I paid good money for these only to get a small crack in them(not from misuse or my fault). They won't be repaired for free under warranty as they tell me that it's "ONLY" cosmetic and if I choose to repair them, I will need to spend $271.82+tax. So I am paying close to A$700 for a set of headphones. This is ridiculous and unacceptable Apple. You should hang your head in shame! I will be leaving my Beats on the shelf as a reminder of what an expensive headset looks like and purchasing cheaper headphones that do the same job at 1/10th of the price and if they break, I can buy another set without spending a fortune. If I buy a new car and the paint starts to crack, the dealership fixes it for free. Same should happen here!!! You're only getting 1 star as you won't let me put a 0 star rating.

    Very cool

    • Written by James G from Perth

I've had these since January 2017 and they have held up fantastically. They are comfortable for me, though I do usually have to take them off every 3 or 4 hours if i'm wearing them for extended periods, but usually I take them off in between when I walk around my house to get things (I don't use these on the go). The sound quality is excellent in my opinion, however the noise cancelling isn't perfect, I wouldn't say that they block each and every sound so if that's the most important thing you're looking for fo things like plane travel there may be better options for you out there. Nevertheless these are still great headphones, if you're willing to buy them at this decently hefty price point.

    Completely Amazing

    • Written by John S

I've had these babies for a while and what I can say is that they're absolutely amazing. Great sound quality for my late night shows I watch. They're battery life is so amazing. I can go an entire day with absolutely no worries. If then run out in the middle of the day, I smoke weed for a bit and then by the time I'm back, they're fully charged! Never have to worry about them. 6/5

    Much better headphones out there

    • Written by B G

£300 for headphones that do not go louder than the room around me. The worst element for me is that they still need battery to use them with the wire?? I find that utterly bizarre. If `I have battery I'm using them wirelessly! Really disappointed with them, £300 down the drain, buy other headphones.

    Great headphones

    • Written by Colin D from Shipley

    Headphones sound great
the Noise cancelling is brilliant, it almost silences the noisy office that I work in.
They're comfortable to wear all day.

The case needs more work. There is nowhere to store the charging and external cables that come with the headphones. Apples workaround is to jam them in under the headband, but that's a squeese and for the standards of apples products I'm surprised that this hasn't been thought through better. I would much prefer to have a separate pocket to keep these cables in.

    Future ideas
I've made a small modification to my headphones. The charging port is the micro-USB that comes on alot of devices. To help my headphones last longer, rather than using the included USB Charge cable, I'd found a 3rd party MagSafe style USB Charging cable. Since MagSafe was an Apple invention in the first place, it would be fantastic to see something like this build into the headphones as it will relieve stress on the charging port. I'm saying this, as I love my Beats Studio3 and want them to last as long as possible.

love them! connect effortlessly, lasts for ages.

    • Written by david Q from nsw

Premium headphones, premium sound. The noise cancelling isn't as good as Bose's top of the line noise cancelling but it's pretty good. sound quality is awesome, very comfortable although as with all my over the ear headphones after about 2 hours I need to take them off as I tend to get a sore jaw. These connect as easily and work just as well as the apples AirPods. instant connection, super easy to swap between devices, no cutting out. Also they connect with my LG TV which many of my other bluetooth headphones don't. They are a premium plush headphone so not having bought Beats before I haven't really associated them with the gym. I know others say they wear them at the gym and they break easily but these would be the last things I'd wear at the gym, they're just not made for that environment. I've had mine for 6 months without any issues. The battery lasts ages - I wear them for hours everyday and probably charge them about once every 2 weeks. Others have said there's issues when it's cold - I'm yet to take them out in below 10 degrees so I can't comment on that. Overall I'm super happy with these, love everything about them and would definitely recommend to others.

don't buy if you want to use outdoors

    • Written by ob L

Apple states it will work for 3 hrs+. And it will as long as you don't what to use them outdoors. If you do, the battery fails if it gets a bit cold. I have experienced as low as 10 minutes. Before you buy you should apparently telepathically know to check this page https://www.beatsbydre.com/headphones/studio3-wireless before buying (scroll to bottom to see reviews), because according to apple if you store or charge them wrong, the battery won't last. What they don't mention is that if you store & charge them right but then want to use them outdoors, the battery will deplete in a record amount of time & within .5 hours of being outdoors, the battery will die.
